  1. If you bought any items today for yourself, do you go ahead and use them now, or wait until Christmas? I would like to start using my DVD recorder as soon as it comes in from BB online, but DW is going to make me wait!
  2. My Samsung DVD recorder and wireless network kit I ordered Thansgiving day have already shipped. I would fight it all I could if BB cancelled the order.
  3. I would have brought a hat and gloves for when I was standing in line at Staples at 5:15 this morning! Don't know why I didn't believe the forecast that said it would be 20 degrees!
  4. Staples Or Target if you buy early and get the price adjustments on BF.
  5. Anybody?
  6. Yes, exactly. What is really nice, the Samsung has a firewire connection (IEEE1934) that most digital camcorders have. Provides a faster connection for transferring over S video or RCA plug connections.
  7. The way I understand it, you will get the same quality from a DVD on either an EDTV set or an HDTV set. Of course, HDTV has much greater potential in picture quality. Personally, I wouldn't waste money on an EDTV set, when you will probably want an HDTV set eventually, especially as more and more HD programming becomes available. To me, the little amount of money you save by buying an EDTV over an HDTV will end up costing you more in the long run (when you have to buy an HDTV set anyway).
  8. Thanks lesliepear. I wonder if I can get an ad scan with the Fuji (if such an ad exists) would Target price adjust? I thought about printing up the Gottadeal scan, but I doubt Target will PA with the Gottadeal watermark on it. :)
  9. Yes, the Samsung R120 has a built in timer. But it sounds like your inlaws could use a DVR instead. Trying not to get too far OT, but if you don't know, with a DVR you can record programs onto a built in hard drive, even up to 100 hours depending on which model. Then just delete the recording after you have watched it. I use a DVR for 99% of my viewing, but wanted a DVD recorder to save programs long term. I find a DVR simple to use, even my parents can operate it!
  10. The Target BF ad scans on GD page 10 show a Fuji Digicam E510 for $168. But the actual ad has a drum set instead. I looked on target.com and the ad has the drum set as well. Hoping it was a regional thing, did anybody's Target ad page 10 show the Fuji digicam? TIA! Really want a $30 price adjustment from when I bought it for $199 the other night.
  11. Nevermind, it's right where Brad said it is. :) <edited>
  12. Best Buy price adjusted, so I'm getting it for 69.99 AR!
  13. Yes! It is 99.99 AR in store, and it was 90.99 AR at midnight this morning online so I ordered it then. I'm now on the phone trying to either get a price adjustment or cancel that order and reorder. At $69.99, this is a great deal!
  14. Several TVs but I didn't see the Insignia. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=pcmcat76300050003&type=category
  15. And a D-Link AirPlus G Wireless router with USB adapter for 14.99 AR. Order went without a hitch! Wanted to get those in before I shop for more!
  16. Samsung DVD R-120 for $170.99 and $80 rebate, shipping for me is $9.20, so just about same price as their BF ad.
  17. And their servers are choking!
  18. I'm down just a bit today, but tomorrow will be a different story when I get those ads in my hands! Already told DW that I'm heading out tomorrow morning (tonight) at 3 AM or so to get the paper. Today is like a lull in the storm!
  19. VGA and DVI. But from what I've read, the DVI connection is over rated. Supposedly, newer LCDs do such a good job converting from digital to analog on VGA connections, that you can't notice much (if any) of a difference when using the DVI connection.
  20. Norcent only lists one 19" LCD monitor on their website. http://www.norcent.net/main/product_detail.asp?prodID=15 That's a fantastic price, but I'm not too impressed with the specs on that monitor. Contrast ratio is 500:1, lower than most other lcds, and response time of 25ms is slow, you may see blurring or ghosting when playing games with fast moving graphics. But it's a great price! :)
  21. I went last night to our local WM. No signs of any BF items yet.
  22. $478 at my local WM, but 30 miles down the road, it's going to be $378 according to Walmart.com when looking at different ads for various zip codes. Not that I was looking to buy the WM laptop, but the price difference is ridiculous!
  23. Great resource, thanks!
  24. It's an acquired taste!
  25. So does Sam's. Saw them today. :)
