  1. Got to CC about 3 AM last year for a 5 AM store opening. I was probably about 40th in line. 400 seems strange for 5 hours prior to open (maybe at BB, but not a CC). I guess it all depends on your area and what other stores are around.
  2. Ever since they went to the eRebates website, I haven't had any problem. In fact they are now one of the best at getting me my rebates. But I do remember how it used to be...
  3. I also enjoy the Wednesday night sale. Kind of a nice kickoff to start the BF deals. You can usually get some deals that are just about as good as BF.
  4. Actually, I bought the LNT tree 2 years ago on BF and I love it! I am getting the one this year as we like to put up 2 trees in the house (a formal tree for us and a Disney-themed tree for the girls).
  5. Oh yeah, I'm eyeing that one as well. Go with the 17" LCD upgrade for $30!
  6. I do the same thing. Even on BF! It is great!
  7. I never believe anything any employee states. You could walk around the store and talk to 5 different employees and get 5 different answers.
  8. When did BB start having customer service?
  9. On BF you'll see both Cars & The Little Mermaid for under $10. Might not be a BB, but you'll see them. Happens every year with Disney's latest releases.
  10. Since last year, BB has done away with most rebates. :)
  11. OK, I poked around for the rebates, the $280 rebates appear to be (the laptop appears to be Compaq model V3000Z): 1. $100 Office Depot rebate when you buy the laptop with either the HP F380 or C3180 printer. 2. $100 HP configure to order rebate on select laptops 3. $80 HP rebate on the F380 or C3180 when purchased with a select notebook. Out of the upgrades, all are decent. The critical one to get is the DVD burner for $25. These are hard to upgrade after-the-fact. The RAM & hard drive are much easier to replace.
  12. It is a configure to order deal. A great deal! You can also unload the F380 printer on eBay for about $50.
  13. I never said there were any deals posted. If there were, Brad would already have them on this site.
  14. Anymore info on this notebook? Specs, model number, ad scan?
  15. Some info is right on the Sams Club website. If the link doesn't work go to the Sams Club homepage and click on the "Day after Thanksgiving Event" banner near the top of the page. http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?catg=8133&iid=11-2-06_HomePage|Day%20After%20Thanksgiving%20Event|Top|SMB
  16. I believe the BF deals are lacking in Wisconsin because of a law that states that retailers cannot sell items below cost. So you need to head to the north Chicago suburbs, where it will be about .1 degrees warmer.
  17. I wouldn't be surprised if they open it up for more orders later in the day. They tend to do that with the Elmo. Try it out and don't give up...
  18. I believe they are extras. In another thread someone was able to breakdown the cost of the bundle.
  19. I just got mine as well! You have to select the 4 games you want, then click add to cart.
  20. I picked up a box of 40 at Costco for about $16 (roughly 40 cents each).
  21. Christy, this movie will probably be a BF special for under $10 so if you could wait, it will probably save you money. Last year CC had The Incredibles for $7 or $8 on BF.
  22. If you want a PS3, you better go NOW and hope it is not too late.
  23. Actually, I agree with most of this. If you take a ticket because you are going to use the item, give it as a gift, or even sell it on eBay, that is one thing. However, don't take tickets just to take them. I wouldn't even think of grabbing tickets and then walk around trying to shill them. However, if someone approached me and said "I'll give you $150 for this laptop ticket," and I was going to put the laptop on eBay and make $175, then I would just sell the ticket.
  24. I'm not sure what is the problem with doing either of these (selling tickets or selling BF items). This sounds like basic capitalism to me. The reason someone is doing it is to make money - just like a business.
  25. There is no way that I could go to CompUSA at midnight and get out of there in time to get in line at BB or CC for the doorbusters. So I'll make sure that I am in line elsewhere before midnight so I can be in front of all of the people that go to any store that opens at midnight. Of course if CompUSA has the best deal, I'll be there for the midnight sale.
