Significantly less than normal for several reasons. 1. My kids grew up and are now getting 1 or 2 nice grown up presents, And 2. I became disabled and no longer work. My household income dropped significantly and without kids to worry about my husband and I won’t be buying nearly as many presents. I plan to use Black Friday as a chance to purchase household items and a good price instead of filling a tree.

I'm thinking black Friday may be a good time to pick up a printer but I'm clueless about this stuff. Anyone have any recommendations? I don't need color but I would prefer ink to be affordable. I would be the only one printing to it, but I print frequently. Big print jobs would go to the copier down the hall but I'd like to have a printer in my office for my frequent 1-2 pages I print. What do I even look for spec wise?

I just can't wait! I have a few big ticket items I'm hoping I can find for a great deal.

I'm just not as "hungry" as I once was. My income is greater and my kids are older. I don't "need" the deals like I did back in the day. I still love the tradition. I still look forward to black Friday every year and am kind of happy to see that some of the stores local to me are going back to Friday sales just makes it so much better.

In the beginning Black Friday was the only way I could afford to really make Christmas magical. My husband I shopped together and it became our tradition. Host Thanksgiving, send the kids to stay at grandmas and wake up at 3:00 am to go shopping. Over the years my budget and the bf hours changed dramatically. Now I don't need the deals but until recently I still enjoyed the tradition. As the hours changed the tradition has kind of fallen by the side, and honestly BF isn't the event in my home that it used to be. My kids are mostly grown and now we buy for ourselves more than for Christmas.
