I just told mine they could start theirs tonight if they hurried and finished their homework :)

I guess I know where DH will want to go... he already asked me today if we could all go out together!

There are 7up and Dr. Pepper flavored lip glosses here :) To get some good ideas your best bet is to go to one of the big department stores and up to the floor where the oseibo (year end) gift giving displays are set up. You'll be amazed at what kinds of things are offered and there should be catalogs you can take with you. If you want to keep it really simple, try to get the same thing for all 3 but in a different color/pattern, etc. Good luck with the gift hunting.

I get up oh, about 5am or so and drive 30 minutes to the city where I'll be shopping just to get the paper so I know I have the right ads. It's always the same Meijer store, and after carefully checking a minimum of three papers I'll pick up a couple of things if there's anything good in the ad, then go home and have some coffee.

He's been waiting for this ad :)

MIRs stink. So do their prices, which you can easily tell have been jacked up. Most likely will not be shopping there though I rarely do anyhow.

Meijer at midnight would be fine with me! Never going to happen, most likely, but one can wish...

I won't have to worry about budgeting too much if DD keeps being naughty!

I'd dress up as a store employee so I could try to get a jump on the other shoppers... preferably at Best Buy :)

At least they're nice about it though.

Yea... down to 169! Had it with the bus driver so he's off the list and my kids off his bus. That large number - if I haven't said already - includes: * goody bags for two classes plus teacher gift and exchange gift * gifts for various staff members for various reasons * more goody bags for DD's scout troop plus 1 exchange gift * select neighbors and friends * family members (which were counted individually) I do a lot of holiday baking and that is what most of my gifts are. I also counted individuals but often give family gifts too. It doesn't cost as much as some may think. :)

Still looking for DD's list... her latest request is for army gear.

If the Pillow Pets are indeed BOGO at Walgreens (and not just a rumor) as I read in another thread then the kids each get one. And maybe DH too

I want to do the same thing for my kids. Even DH has said I should start working on that, but when I want to go and get things to do so do you think he lets me?

I like buying too and have a hard time stopping :) And I too am going through the kids' things and sorting. They get a mix of needs and wants and don't seem to care as long as they have something to open... but these are the same two who get excited about getting socks and underwear for a present!

How's the training coming along?

You need to have someone send you some of the foam craft kits from Michaels. That or some clear plastic ornaments that the kids can decorate. :)

I'm debating on them myself after seeing the actual size but will likely get one for each kid if they're at a good enough price.
