I made some cookies with whatever I had in the kitchen tonight... didn't measure a thing, didn't check what temp DH had the stove on but they turned out perfect! That reminds me I need to make my traditional secret recipe peppercookies soon - got lots of honey that needs to be used up.

Prediction: My SS box will arrive tomorrow. It will arrive before I get home from volunteering at school (Secret Santa Shop, how ironic), meaning I have to either chase down the postman or run to the office before it closes. It happens without fail.

I think I would get her a $25 gift card (either for a restaurant or just to use in general) and donate the rest to a charity of choice. At DD's school the 3rd graders are raising money so they can give to others through World Vision; just what animals the kids will choose remains to be seen but it should be interesting. A gift like that (the one that keeps on giving) would certainly be different. :)

Just picked up my package and it's from my OE pal! A set of 3 photo frame ornaments in the shape of cookies - gingerbread boy and girl and Christmas tree! Just looking at them is making me hungry! And it came wrapped in paper with candy canes printed on it... I LOVE these ornaments! Thank you so much! Now I just need to find a place to display them seeing how I don't have a tree...

Looks like I got a package today too - at least I assume it's for me... a slip was left in my box and it's sitting up in our office! 10am tomorrow I'll be there!

Mine is currently into Pokemon. Just got another iPod for family use too so she and her brother don't fight over the one we had, but I set a firm rule after getting it: if you fight over who gets to use which one neither of you will use either of them!

Still working hard to finish up... I will not allow myself to miss the deadline! :)

The only reason I spent less this year is because I started feeling ill and called it quits at 2am, though I did venture out later too. Sitting in line at Target was a quite pleasant experience... nice people to talk with and who helped each other out - especially when others tried to bum rush the line or move themselves farther up. Store security came out with maps and Luna bar samples and answered questions and even the city police made an appearance to make sure order was kept. Easy to tell that this store planned and prepared well.

Why do I feel like I'm going to be last minute..? Not a good time for me to be getting sick... must go shopping and finish up tomorrow!

Me too! It's my one guaranteed time to myself "holiday" of the year. DH will send a list with me (and a reminder to not spend too much) but volunteers to watch the kids. I like being able to go at my own pace.

Whoever came up with that Kohls commercial should have their head examined... I mean, I can see the humor in it but the message sent is terrible and I feel disrespects shoppers in general.

BB in (NW) Grand Rapids MI has I think about 7 tents set up and I've seen at least one kid under 10 in the line... Funny thing is they started the line on the wrong side of the doors.

I was just at mine and they're setting stuff up now... oodles of HotWheels and slipper socks and cheap hats and gloves.
