  2. I would call your county or state. We have Shop with a Cop that we give to every year. The children get to shop with a cop at Walmat and spend $50.00 on themselves or gifts for others. I actually was at Walmat one year they were doing it and watched a little and cried. It was so cool to see!!!!
  3. I like that they bring the stuff out early! I get things here and there.
  4. ITA about the quality of the toys! I have fisher price toys from when I was a kid(70's)that are WAY better made!
  5. Check Big lots, Target and Walmart. I know for sure big lots and Target have Christmas stuff out already!
  6. Yes. We started for our 10 year old. Our 17 yr old is easy...he wants money and gift cards.

BUFFALO WING DIP 1 small bottle Frank's Red Hot Sauce 1 8oz block of soft cream cheese 1 jar of blue cheese dressing(the kind in the produce section) 2 cups shredded cooked chicken 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese combine hot sauce, cream cheese and blue cheese pour into deep baking dish. add shredded chicken and mix thoroughly. bake at 450°F until bubbling, add Cheddar cheese until lightly browned. Serve warm with sliced baguette or French bread, crackers, or celery sticks. Combine hot sauce and blue cheese. Pour into a deep baking dish. Add shredded chicken and mix thoroughly. Bake at 450°F until bubbling.(You can make it the night before..it warms up GREAT in the microwave!!) Add Cheddar cheese until lightly browned. Serve warm with sliced baguette or French bread, crackers, or celery sticks. We LOVE it with celery sticks! YUMMY!!!!! :) :) :)

  10. YES!! We are self employed in the HVAC business. Like anyone else in the building industry we are not doing as good as we once were. Last year we had a lite Christmas..I think this year will be a little better. The boys are use to a lot more but we had a great time last year even with not a lot of gifts.
  11. We usually do 1 of each but the last few years we only put up the fake one. I think the fake one is only going up again. I will warm some of my Scentsy Christmas Tree in a warmer and will still have that tree scent! LOL!

  14. I think a NYC Christmas would be cool! I would love to go back 'home' for Christmas. We are from upstate NY and my youngest has never seen snow! I am hoping maybe next year. I would love to see snow for about a week or 10 days! LOL!
  15. Last year I put them up Nov. 1st. This year I am going to put them up the weekend after Thanksgiving. Edited to add I start listening to Cbristmas music Nov 1st!
  16. Ds#2's 1st grade teacher would hide the elf every day and the kids had to find him when they came in. He loved it!
  17. What about having each child bring an unopened gift(limit you set)and donate them to Toys for Tots or another gift giving organization. My ds#2 is 9 and he would LOVE that idea. HTH! :)

  20. Ours are: -We decorate the tree as a family -bake and decorate Christmas cookies -Drive around and see Christmas lights -Each year the boys get to open one gift to open on Christmas Eve. They play along(16 and 9) because it is the same gift every year..new Christmas jammies.
  21. I think mine was my Rebel camera dh got me one year for christmas. I was SHOCKED!

  24. LOL! I am in Florida and found Star 102.1 out of Kansas. They started playing yesterday! I LOVE it! :)
