I have heard of the sugar in the water but since it is still very warm here in Florida I was always worried it would attract ants. I will have to try the aspirin method!
My 6 yr old still believes.
My 13 yr old does not.
My 13 yr old loves keeping the magic going in our house about Santa. He loves the fact he knows something that his brother doesnt know. We also let him help bring out some of the 6 yr old's presents on Christmas Eve.
We do 2 children from the angel tree. We also sponser a few(last year we did 2 and are hoping to do a few more than that this year) children for 'Shop with a Cop' that is held every year at our local Walmart. Each child gets a $100 GC and they get the buy whatever they want with it. I am sure dh will be doing something for all the kids of his employees too.
It falls on a Monday this year. I will most likely have to work in the morning(I am thinking I can talk dh in to letting me have it off though..I work for the family business). Last year I had everyone over here for dinner but I dont think I am going to do that again. A couple of things for sure is that we go and see Xmas lights and the boys open a gift which is Xmas jammies.
Last year it was cool so I wore jeans and a tshirt but in years past it was always a sweatshirt in the am with a tshirt under neath with shorts. I usually have my debit card, keys, cash and phone in my pocket. I also have a list.
Nothing. He cant be bothered to make sure the mailbox is closed after he puts the mail in it so it either gets wet from the rain or from the traffic zooming by the mail flys out all over my front lawn.
