We put up both. The living room gets a fake one and our family room gets a real one.

My husbands stepmom. She is just anti black Friday because she has never tried it. She doesn't like new things. Dh is 38 and she has had the same sweaters and Christmas tree as long as he can remember(he was 5yrs old when she married his dad)I am not kidding you..most of the green is off the tree and old tinsel is left! Sorry for the rant! LOL!!!

I am hoping we can get back home for Thanksgiving so if we do I will be in Rochester NY. If not then I will be in Sanford Florida/Leesburg Florida.

I am so glad they are bringing back layaway! I worked at walmart 15 years ago and i can tell you first hand what a pain in the butt layaway is. I TOTALLY understand the $15.00 and honestly I am suprised you get it back when you pick up the layaway. I would be fine with loosing the $15.00! LOL!

ITA! My Walmart started their sales at midnight last year. It was a nightmare! I walked in and then walked out!

I started yesterday. I am hoping to be able to pick up a few things each week. I am trying to make this holiday season less stressful..we shall see! LOL!

We usually put books, a DVD, candy, slinky and whatever else I find at targets $1 bins. I put gift cards in my oldest's with some of the same stuff as my 10 yr old.

On my list I have -ipad 2 -shark steam mop -Dooney & Bourke purse and new key chain(I bought my last one in 97...It finally just fell apart! LOL!) -cover for the ipad -itunes gift card

Normally I go alone. I have gone with friends in the past but they can slow you down! LOL! Last year dh went with me and we had a great time! We were at Walmart at midnight. We stayed up all night. I hope we can do it again this year.

I usually do four -pumpkin -chocolate -apple -peanut butter

When we lived in NY we had to go to 3 different houses for Christmas. We now only have everyone over our house for Christmas Eve and then my parents normally come over Christmas morning to give the boys their gifts. My Mom and Dad give a lot more than my inlaws so my mom likes doing theirs later.

I would get the biggest turkey you can find. I love the leftovers! For snacks: -shrimp -cheese and crackers -stuffed mushrooms -veggie tray -deviled eggs Dinner -turkey -mashed potatoes -hash brown Casserole -corn -acron squash -yeast rolls -gravy Desert -chocolate pie -apple pie -pumpkin pie -peanut butter pie

I would not mind at all. It is the thought that counts not how you got the gc!!! I love getting GC's and so do my kids. We get exactly what we want.

My only recommendation is a prelit one for sure!!!

I got really big ones at Walmart for a good price. I think they were Better Homes and Garden.

We have had many years of ponies and puppies. My oldest did get a puppy one year. There will be no ponies though!

Do you have a sling? I would let her fall asleep in the sling and wrap.

Ds#2 has a razor and loves it. We are on his 2nd one but that is only becasue he left it in the driveway and dh ran it over on accident.

We usually put up the fake Christmas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving but it seems like we are putting it up earlier and earlier! I think we put it up last year a few weeks before Thanksgiving. If we get a real tree we usually dont put it up until the weekend after Thanksgiving. We already have Christams music playing in the car. Ds#2(10) got out the car this morning at school singing a Christmas song. Christmas is our favorite holiday by far. We love watching A Christmas Story.

I have not bought wrapping paper in years! I usually get it for 75-90% off. I go through less now that the gifts are more expensive and less big.
