  1. I can't wait to see the scans. Its hard to have the actual prices (which don't seem that good) set in with out seeing the item. Since Boise Cascade bought em even their weekly sales haven't been that good. Last year I spent quite a bit there.
  2. We went out on Thanksgiving to a Holiday Inn and ate at the restaurant there. The service was terrible! The help really did not like working on the holiday and it showed. Tried Jack in the Box once also, bad and slow service. Now we stay home. But I hear there is a good time at Alice's Restaurant.
  3. Cinder blocks and pine boards, they were all the rage in college. Its a upgrade from the plastic crate. Office Max has sales on furniture on Black Friday. Wish the ad would come out already!
  4. Usually anything that has a miniumum quantity of 20 or less. But last year we wanted the DLP projector minumum 2 per store and they had no tickets for it. (also a $4000 TV had none) since we left my friends wife at the store, we asked how to get it and they told her to run in the door, and go to a certain counter and yell "I want the projector" and she got it. A couple of years ago I bought a TV (no tickets) with a 20 quantity and in the store they had at least 100 of them. So if they have alot more than the ad says there will be no tickets.
  5. While waiting in line for the tickets be on the lookout for when the shopping carts come out the door. When they do, make sure to hurry and get one for each member of your party. The carts run out fast. They are great for blocking peeps trying to cut in line, and putting all those great deals in. Also used to run over peeps running into you in the store. Watch your cart at all time especially when you have doorbusters or other limited supply items in the cart. Peeps will try and take them away from you. They sure have nerve!

    LCD Monitor

I agree, Sony LCD's look the best. If Office Max, or Office Depot does not come up with a stellar deal, I will wait till January when the stores unload all the excess merchandise at huge discounts for tax purposes. I think the merchants know everyone wants LCD's for their computers this year.
  7. With the $8 firewire cards I have purchased, they came with a cable. Easy to install and reconized by Windows XP. Even though I use a Canopus card to capture video.
  8. I'm going to get that Samsung All In One at CompUSA for $150. This is one sweet machine! Go to their web site to read the specs. Need it to replace a worthless HP 7130 that cost almost $500 3 years ago
  9. We sit in director's chairs watching movies on a laptop, and TV on a portable though there's nothing on. I just cant stop watching the Shop at Home channel and that guy. "How fun is that" and "Your new (fill in item)". If you have ever watched you know!
  10. A laptop for under $500, and possibly a couple LCD's 17" for $125 each. But I haven't found the LCD's yet. 2 years ago I predicted LCD's for $100 and I was right! Bought it at Best Buy, it was a 14" MAG. What a piece of ___!
  11. Its not hard to do, but it does involve a lot of hard drive space. I do this for a living, and one hour of tape transfered to the computer by firewire takes up 12.5 GB of space. Then if you burn it to a DVD, you need space for the temp files the DVD program uses. So your going to need 25+GB of free space for 1 hour of tape. So think about getting a 200 GB HD at one of the sales. They are really cheap now. Fry's has one today for $70 no rebate.
  12. MiniDv is a "tape" format. It only plays back in the camera, or a MiniDV recorder/player that costs $500 more or less. There is no adapter available to play in a regular VHS vcr or Beta machine. You can transfer the video thru a USB or Firewire to your computer as you "play" it on the camera and then burn it to a DVD. Or use a analog cable to play it on your TV or record to your VCR or standalone DVD recorder. Most times these cables are included with the camera.
  13. We park about in the middle of the lot. Across two spaces at the end of an aisle. My friend and I sat in line. Last year we were about 9th in line. We needed a DLP projector for our church and some computers. His wife slept until 3:30. We took turns watching the three chairs, walking back and forth getting the pizza's. We made 4 Tony Pizza's. If you knew me you would know I can eat 3 of them myself. His wife came out and waited for the tickets, after we got the tickets, we left in her truck, because his is hooked up to the trailer. By the time we got back, she had purchased the projector, misc, flash drives, dig vid cam, blank dvd's and two of 4 computers. We came back 15 minutes before the deadline got the other two computers, and headed for Sears.
  14. Yes, a large trailer, 25' with bathroom, bedroom, kitchen. We make food, can go to the bathroom, watch TV, stay warm, even though it's not that cold in Southern California. This year we were thinking of buying more pizza's and selling them for $10 each. The mobile home is pulled by a F-350 diesel truck.
  15. For the past 5 years, at 2 different BB, they have passed out the tickets 2 hours before the doors opened. Once we get the tickets we go to Office Max and get in line. For all the good stuff they have, while my friends wife goes into BB and grabs all the other limited quanity stuff we want. After we go to Office Max, Staples, Office Depot, and CompUSA, we come back and get the ticket items she has not been able to do yet. You have until noon to redeem the tickets. We take a mobile home and a truck. So there is a place for her to put the merchandise as she gets it. We have found this system to work great. I just don't know how we are going to handle the CompUSA thing yet. We might send his wife there at Midnight to get the stuff there and meet up with us later at BB.
  16. Not exactly what I hoped for, but will go at 11 P.M. for the Toshiba, the eMachines, a couple 19" LCD's. Maybe the Video card. Was hoping for some Sata drives, free DVD's, cheaper LCD's. Oh well like someone else said. "The economy must be improving." Or maybe, I have so much already I really don't need anything. Its teriffic not having all the rebates (i know there are some) to fill out. Last BF I had over $2000 worth. Right now I am down to a couple hundred dollars worth. I can't stop shopping if the price is right. Thanks for the ad scans! Your web site is appreciated by all. Now for Office Max, and Fry's!
  17. I wonder if this means that they won't be having their Wednesday before Thanksgiving 4 P.M. sale. We line up at 1 P.M. for that. They had better notebook deals at that sale last year. With NO AOL. The prices are not very good, and not enough free after rebate merchandise. I think they are making the Wal*Mart mistake of 2004. I usually go there last (they usually opened later than anyone else) and they still have what I wanted. All I want is the Hitachi Sata drive, and maybe the PCI-E card for $199. Good price on the Acer notebook, only both ram slots are filled, and only 10/100 network connection, also don't see mouse input. But still good deal. If you are not interested in adding ram. Can't wait for Best Buy and Office Max! I hope they don't let me down.
  18. Here in the OC you need to be at Best Buy around 11 P.M. to get any ticket items. Once you get the tickets, you can head over to other stores to shop. And get there a good hour and a half before the doors open anywhere else. We go to Office Max, then Staples, Office Depot, CompUSA, and finally Sears. As long as you get back by 11 A.M. your item at Best Buy is safe. This will be my 10th Black Friday. The excitement is building! Less than 21 days!
  19. Arrived at BB 12:00. Line was longer than when I arrived last year at 1:30. We leave and go to another BB arrive 12:30. About 25th in line. We brought a 20' motorhome with us. We made pizza, watched Tv. had a place to go the bathroom. Got tickets for 3 computers, and a vid camera. Let my friends wife wait in line while we took a car to OM. Arrive 5:10 about 20th in line, ran and got dvd burner, flash drives camera, printer, lots of blank disks, cases, HD's, chairs, all the free stuff. Had to wait to get out, the computers all crashed. Finally get out, go to Office Depot, they were all standing around that place was empty. Got HD's, flash drives, sd cards, speakers. 10 min tops in there. Go to Staples, get HD's dvd burners, Dvd blanks, slim cases. another 10 min. go to CompUSA, got 256 memory, All in wonder card. Allmost an hour in here. Get back to BB at 8:45. Just in time to get our computers before the 9:00 deadline. His wife that waited at BB also picked us up the Dvd blanks and a NEC projector for me. We then went to Sears, the lines were so long and we were so tired that it wasn't worth it to buy any tools we really didn't need. I think the 3+ grand we spent before rebates was enough. They dropped me off at 10:00. Now I'm leaving to see Santa land over at the shopping center. Oh yeah I think I'll drop by Circuit City on the way! Thank you GottaDeal, for all your advance stuff that made our planning easier so that yesterday we were able to spend the day with our familys and not have to plan out what we were looking yesterday, for today. I also bought stuff at BB online 1 A.M.Thursday morning.
  20. Office Max messed up my plans. The ad scans said they opened at 7, but here in Southern California, it says they open at 6. Now we have to go to a different Best Buy, and we are leaving to get there in 30 min. (11:30) Also, we are bypassing Staples because of this. We are getting the computer tickets at BB then going to OM to finish waiting in line. I did all the shopping execpt the computers at BB.com yesterday morning. Good luck to all. I hope you get all the "Deals" you are looking for.
  21. Last year I bought a computer at Best Buy for $250 AR. And sold it for $350. I'm going to buy and sell another this year.

    Minolta Dimage?

The Z-1 Minolta; 2724-301 is in the Bargain Bin at Micro Center Online for $249.99. What a deal!!
  23. Even though the deals this year are not so great/Don't need anything, I remember lining up 2 hours early at Target for a crummy bag of samples. So I think people will go (like I will), Just to go. Its TRADITION my daughter says, like a tree lighting, or seeing Santa hellicopter in. I've been doing this for at least 7 years and see no reason to stop now.
