    Fry's Electronics

The tv's I wanted were out of stock when the online sale went live. So I went to the store. Was in the same place in line as last night at 4:25 Pacific. Got all 3 tv's I wanted, the power supply's for the computer parts from last night, flash drives, 8-channel security system to go with the 4 cameras from last night and some other stuff . So I got everything with no line at the checkout. There was a line for the tv's and when I got up there the promo code did not work. It seems that the first batch they sent out a couple of days ago with the Friday ad did not work. They gave me a new code on the spot which I was able to use on all my purchases. The store was less crowded than last night. And as usual I have no complaints other than the online sale starting late. The promo code will also not work if you have an item that has sold out by the time you try to enter it.

I have been trying since 3 A.M. the sale has never went live. Yesterday, the online sale went off without a hitch. Went to the store about 45 minutes early and the line was only half way up the side of the building. Got right in, was able to get all the items we wanted including tv's, and checked out without waiting in line. Guess I am going to go to their store now as there are other stores to go to after their 5 A.M. opening. And remember, your best buys are always at Fry's! Sorry I only have 1 code for today. Had an extra yesterday. The code is 1 code for all items, 1 use per item. Went live at 3:30.

So far the Fry's "leaked deals" to those that subscribe are awsome!! I hope they will be available online for later pickup like last year. Sony 32" LCD TV $98, BeatsHD On-Ear Headphones $78, Lenovo Flex 2 15.6" Dual-Mode Laptop $498. Other deals are posted, but these look like the most requested items. Can't wait to see the whole ad! You can go to the Fry's website to see all the deals posted so far.
  4. PDF is corrupt!
  5. I am waiting for the Pep Boys ad. Every year I get all the oil, filters, spark plugs and anti-freeze my cars will need for the next year. If you are a DIY person and have not put Pep Boys on your list, you are wasting $$$ on these items. Last year, 5 qtsoil+filter $7, spark plugs free, antifreeze $1/gallon. And you were allowed multiples. Plus the prices were good Fri, Sat and Sunday. They had other great deals but these were at the top of my list
  6. Had a wonderful shopping experience last night at Wal*Mart. Got there at 8, was in the line that started all the way behind the store, got in the front door by 9:15. Picked up the small stuff, got a ticket and was 15th in line for the Emerson 32" tv. Was out the door by 10:15. Never been there on BF before, would do again. Now 4 in the AM, leaving for today's sales at Pep Boys, Office Max, Home Depot, and Staples. Then off to Sam's Club for breakfast. And will finish at Fry's Electronics where I bought all my stuff online yesterday and just have to go pick it up. Hope everyone has a terrific shopping experience today!

The scans for Friday can be found here! edddiittttteeeddd Looks like most items can be bought on line Thursday.
  8. What I would do, is look and see what brands of cordless tools he has now. Then find out which are 19 volts and above. Higher voltage is better. Check these brands for reciprocating saws, and see if the saw battery will fit both items. Then I would get a saw based on my findings as long as it was not Black and Decker, Sears, not Craftsman, or any from Harbor Freight. Batteries are expensive, and chargers take up an outlet and counter or wall space, so you are trying to save future money and space. I bought the Craftsman 4 pc. 19.2 volt combo years ago. Needed the reciprocating saw, used it to cut a car in half at the junk yard. I needed the rear of the car, used two batteries, was very easy to cut thru the sides and frame. Flashlight comes in handy. Replaced my 14 volt Craftsman drill with the new 19.2 volt one, Never used the 14 volt again. I also have a corded reciprocating saw. Never have used it. Always have used the cordless.
  9. Tried to buy some stuff, would not show BF price in cart, canceled order.
  10. They really have some terrific prices, and will have plenty (more than 50) of each item in stock. Friday will be 2 more one day only (starting at 6 A.M.) pages, and then an additional 4 one day only pages on Saturday. Sunday will bring the 4 page Cyber Week sale. This is what they have done the last few years. Remember your BEST BUY'S are always at Fry's!
  11. Why wait? Buy it now for a penny less at Wal*Mart! http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=19392635
  12. They are doing the free breakfast thing again. We stop there between stores just for that. Yummy!
  13. Fry's Electronics has a 2GB MP3 player Saturday FREE after MIR.
  14. I arrived at 6:15 A.M. and was 20th in line. By the time they opened there were only about 100 people. They had plenty of everything, and passed out tickets for electronic items. They had at least 17 of each, and 40 of the 17" TV that no one in the line wanted. It looked like people wanted the 10MP GE camera, and the Wii. They still had tickets for all items when the doors opened. I went early just to go, and to buy cat food. In and out in less than 10 minutes.
  15. Fry's Electronics Anaheim Ca. 3:00 P.M. 4 people in line. Pretty good for not knowing what will be on sale, and what the prices of anything will be.
  16. We camped out at Staples in 2006. Got there at 10 P.M. There were 2 people ahead of us. We wanted the Mio GPS, 200 GB hard drives, and Samsung 19" monitor. They had 3 of the monitors, a dozen of the hard drives and 7 of the GPS units. Most other items were less than 10 each. They have the good stuff behind the front counter, so if you go Thanksgiving Day and look thru the window, you can count how many of each item they have. The 2 people ahead of us took one of each of the main items we wanted. By the time the doors opened, there were about 50 people in line. The doors open here later than most places, so you get people coming from the stores that already opened trying to cut in line. They had plenty of the smaller items that we wanted and sent someone after that stuff while we were in line for the good stuff.
  17. I think that the Target listing is the "WD Elements" version, and the Wal*Mart listing is the "WD My Book" version. So no, they are not the same. And the "WD My Book" is the better of the 2.
  18. Why not look at the list under sales by store? It is here.http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/BlackFridaySales/Store/BestBuy
  19. I went to Wal*Mart yesterday to buy the new Killers CD/DVD. It was priced at $13.88. I had my Target ad that had it priced at $11.98. I asked for a "Price Match". The cashier said she would have to call Target and verify that they had it in stock. A Dept. Mgr. heard the conversation and said, that that rule won't apply until Black Friday. Until then, just verify the date on the ad, and that it is the same item. So I got my "Price Match". I wonder if they are really going to do that? My roommate has been a cashier at Wal*Mart for 6 years, is working starting at 3 A.M. on Black Friday, and said she did not hear that.
  20. Fry's has 2 or 3 pages of Black Friday stuff in the Thanksgiving Day paper. Then you just send someone to the nearest newspaper machine around 3 A.M. on Friday. While you hold the place in line. Thats what we do. Last year they opened at 5 A.M.
  21. Fry's Electronics. What every you want in electronics will be cheaper at Fry's. And they will have enough of everything in the ad. So even if your number 100 in line you will still get what you want. I have never been disappointed. I kissed Best Buy goodbye years ago and never looked back.
  22. Camping out is part of the tradition of Black Friday. Otherwise its just another sale day!
  23. I bought mine at Fry's for $99.99 on Black Friday 2 years ago. It is a Hotpoint with a regular price $199.99.
  24. They do put out 2 or 3 pages of the ad in the Thanksgiving Day paper. It is on inside pages and not consecutive ones. Nor is it on back covers. You must turn every page of the paper to see them. There will be enough terrific deals on those pages to entice you to wait in line Wednesday night. But the whole ad is not available till Friday. And then usually another ad on Saturday On some web sites they are reporting a one page ad for Friday, and an 8 page ad for Saturday, Sunday. And also some are saying a one page ad on each of the three days.
  25. Does not work for me.
