  1. I was so sad that I didn't get this game at Christmas... http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61Bdbw8U1aL._AA280_.jpg I didn't see it on ANY of the Target toy clearance shelves even at 50% off! I figured it just didn't go on clearance. So I find one sitting on the endcaP today; scaned it and got $0.00. So, I figured I would try the old "name your price game" and see if it worked. Considering that the scanner came up with zeros, I figured it was part of the Christmas clearance and must have been a return. When the cashier asked me if I knew the price, I told her that I believed it was $3.74 from the toy sale a couple of weeks ago. No problems! I was very excited. I thought it looked like a cute game. I think it was $19.99 reg price, but I thought I would start low and go from there! (A bit sneaky I know.)
  2. THANKS! At least now when I say it, I can say it with lots more confidence and no fear that someone will say, "hey stupid, your not using the right word!"
  3. BTW, is it endCAP or endCAB? Seems like people call it endcap, but I've always wondered if I've heard it wrong when I hear the workers talk about it. EndcaB would seem to make more sense if it were just an abbreviation for end cabinet. I don't know what endcaP would stand for??? If you say both of them, they sound very similar. Very silly question, I know. It's cold here and the days are long with toddlers in the house. Guess my mind is just turning to mush and I have nothing else to do but think about silly questions. I'm just one of those people who sings along to songs using the wrong lyrics until someone says, "hey stupid, those aren't the words!"
  4. They were at the OP Super Target and for whatever reason, I can't find them anywhere else around town. I thought they would make super gifts for my friends with kids. They just appeared on an endcap one day.
  5. Oh, forgot to mention that all those Shutterfly box sets that mysteriously disappeared from one of the Targets around here suddenly reappeared back on the same endcap all marked down to 1/2 price. They must have just stored them in the back for awhile since they didn't have a lot of clearance on that shelf. Also found a set of Barbie golf clubs for $4.98 today.
  6. A couple of weeks ago I found several pair of Black and Decker rechargeable electric scissors at one of our Super Targets. I had actually been looking for these since hearing about how great they are on "The View" quite some time ago. Anyway, there were about 5 of them marked down to 30% off (reg. $20 down to $13.98). They are the GREATEST. They slice through those D#!@ toy packages and all their hard plastic in a snap. I haven't been able to find these scissors at any other Target store. Today I happened to see some in the tool aisle marked at $19.99. The ones I found on clearance were white with either green or blue on them. The ones I saw in the tool aisle are orange and black. They are both made by Black and Decker. ANYWAY, I just thought I would mention them in case someone happens to see the white ones on an endcap anywhere. They are really great and worth $15-- especially if you have kiddos and are asked to open gifts encased with all that hard plastic that shreds your hands at Christmas and birthday time. Fortunately, I found a couple more pairs (at the same store) marked down to 75% off just a couple days ago. So, I got mine for $4.98. I was pretty happy cause I think they were worth $13.98! But I haven't seen the clearance ones anywhere else-- only the orange and black.
  7. The Shutterfly sets expire 2 years from date of activation. So, they would be good through this time 2010 (if you buy them now.)
  8. Each month, there is a new board started. There are probably a lot of posts this month because of the after Christmas and toy clearance. I don't know if I'm just speaking for myself or not, but I like to hear about EVERYTHING Target is marking down and splitting up the forum would be very frustrating and time consuming. TPTB have already said they don't want us to discuss coupons, and I really miss hearing about coupon deals. Hang in there, most of the time there aren't this many posts.
  9. Both sizes are $14.98 (1/2 price) at most stores. Some still seem to have them at 30% off though.
  10. We had one store that just mysteriously pulled them too. They had just a little bit of electronics on an endcap (including the Shutterfly stuff). Then one day... poof and the endcap was empty. I am thinking (although not sure) that they maybe just took the clearance stuff to the back cause there just wasn't enough to fill up an endcap??? I dunno. The Shutterfly stuff was only 30% off when they moved everything, so I'm hoping that one day they will pop back out marked way down. Who knows? That happened at only one store. Everyone else had the Shutterfly stuff in electronics. Although I have seen them scattered around the stores too.
  11. You have to find the barcode on the BOTTOM of the box. There is an activation bar code on the back of the box that the cashier has to scan to activate. (If you try to scan that one, it will say item not found.) The albums seem to be hard to find (for me anyway) at 1/2 off. I think they are more popular. And yes, to someone who does a lot of digital photography on Shutterfly, these are a very good deal because the shipping is included free as well. I'm passing on the mug, keychain and calendar until 75% off. But, I grabbed the photo albums at 1/2 price. My sister and I do all our pics off Shutterfly and those albums are very nice.
  12. They are good for 2 years from the date you purchase them at Target. The only thing in the box is basically a piece of paper with an activation code that shows through so that the cashier can scan it to activate; then there is a scratch off code for you to enter when you get out to the Shutterfly website. So it's pretty much a box with nothing in it... just a piece of cardboard and a piece of paper.
  13. I had kind of given up hope on those Shutterfly goodies. I was soooo wanting the albums (8x8) and (8 1/2x11). Many stores didn't seem have any of those left! (only a lot of mugs, keychains, etc. when I checked on them last week.) I haven't been heading around to a lot of stores so far this week. (I think I overdid it last week during the toy craziness.) But, I went out tonight for just a bit to one store who does marks a little later than other stores. I hit the jackpot and found a bunch of the 8 1/2x11 and 8x8 albums. So, I am very happy. If you know someone who does a lot on Shutterfly, and you see these albums, they are a very good deal especially because they include FREE SHIPPING. The albums are usually $30-$40 if you buy them on Shutterfly (and until seeing them at Target, THAT'S the only place I thought you could buy them.) I'm holding out for 75% off on the mugs, calendars, and keychains.
  14. Does anyone have any experience with the Fisher Price Digital Arts and Crafts Desk that came out for Christmas? I am having a bugger of a time getting that thing downloaded and working properly. I don't want to get into all the specifics here on this forum, but with all the toy bargain shoppers out here, I just wondered if anyone has had any problems; or knows of a good website or place to go to find out how to get this product working properly? From the limited info I can find, I am not the only one who is having a terrible time working through the bugs on this. I just wondered if anyone on this forum has been through the problems and come out the other side (and is willing to share how they did it!)
  15. They are Shutterfly, not Snapfish, and most of them are located in electronics.
  16. I completely agree and that has happened to me too. It's a little easier cause I have 2 other little ones that I can just save the toys for if my older one isn't interested. I use some things I buy for Easter too. I rarely (probably never) buy toys at full price, but now I suppose I will be forced to as my kiddos get older. Sometimes I get so frustrated when I see all the toys around the house, but then I tell myself that when you buy things at 75% off (for like $5-10), and they play with them for just a little while, who cares!? It's not really a waste because I'll probably be able to sell them on a garage sale and at a minimum get a few bucks back, which makes the toy even cheaper. When I think about how much money gets "wasted" on so many other things like eating out or going to a movie where we easily drop $50-75 on something that is just entertainment for the moment, kids' toys are sort of like that in a way-- entertainment for the moment. If I can get them cheap, I'm not as worried if they break or the kids lose interest. My husband tells me that I must not have had any toys as a child given how much "fun" I have buying them for our kids. :) I wasn't deprived growing up, but there is definitely more available for kids now. There only little for such a short time. Hopefully I'm not spoiling the heck outta them.
  17. I just don't understand this. We had a woman go to jail around here a year or two ago for doing the same thing. I never understood the whole bar code switching thing that authorities said she did on electronics. Aren't the bar codes part of the UPC label built into the box? How does anyone switch that? Very weird what people are willing to chance just to make a buck or two.
  18. Not sure if anyone bought the Barbie Island Princess Elephant with 2 Kelly Dolls. Anyway, I told my 4yo that she could pick anything off the shelf while we were shopping yesterday as long as she behaved herself. She picked that. It is ADORABLE! For $6.xx, it was definitely worth the price of peace and cooperation yesterday during our outings. Funny thing is that she didn't pick it until we were at our third store. She was completely oblivious to the fact that I had already bought it at the first store! It worked out okay though cause when my 6yo got home from school and found out about the great toy adventure, she immediately wondered where her toy was. So I was sort of forced to give her the option of taking the other one I bought OR the Barbie Fairy DVD doll/game. She and her sister are having a blast playing with those elephants and they are very cool! I never would have imagined they could do the things that they do! Just thought I'd share that it (in my opinion) is a neat toy.
  19. I was hoping that those Shutterfly packs might get marked down again today. It doesn't happen very often, but sometimes electronics has done markdowns on Fridays in the past. I don't know what the rhyme or reason is, but if anyone happens to see them marked down more than 30% off while you are out and about today, would you post? I am taking a Target break today. Nine stores yesterday is a little much even for this Target Addict!
  20. Oh thanks. I bought them for my daughter and her cousin who are both heading into that hard to buy for zone of 7-8ish. My daughter isn't into dolls so much, so I thought that this might be something fun. 16 bucks isn't too much to loose if it turns out to be a dud.
  21. I'm not sure that I care if they are getting in on the goodies, BUT, they need to get their stuff outta sight of the customers and outta the way of the customers. Again, my feeling is that Target customers shouldn't have to "fight" with the ON DUTY employees to buy stuff in the store. If they are in uniform and WORKING the aisles and a customer wants something in their cart, in my opinion, it's unfortunate for them and they need to say "sure, here you go." or get the cart out of the way and to the back room. It just looks bad. If I was a manager, THAT would be my policy.
  22. There is a coupon on the Target toys website for $15 off that Rose Petal Cottage. (I think it's the same thing.) I haven't tried using it, but it might be worth a try if you don't mind using expireds!
  23. I didn't buy this toy, but I secretly kind of liked passing by him in the aisle cause he usually whistled at me! Always made me feel good, even when I was in my baseball cap and snow boots! 'fraid he might have eventually gotten on my nerves though. Same with that green baby shrek thingy (I think). It makes the weirdest noises.
  24. The ones I've used without any problems: Little Mommy Hasbro Barbie Island Princess The ones that didn't work for me: IM-ME Digital Art Desk Tamagotchi Those were the only coupons I was interested in. I saw the Polly Pocket Jet marked down to $11.xx yesterday and there is a coupon out on the Target site for $10 off the jet, which would have made it all of a buck or 2. We are so overrun on Polly Pocket dolls though, the last thing I need is an airplane in the house falling into another million small Polly pieces! (I've heard from others that the Jet doesn't really stay together great... I've got a 2 year old, so that would translate into "WILL fall apart immediately" at my house!) Although, now that I think about it, THAT was stupid of me not to get it. That was really cheap for toys for tots or something.
  25. Is the IM-ME junk as in you wouldn't pay $50 for it junk or would you consider it to have some fun appeal for $16.xx? I just picked up a couple today for my kiddos and if it's really bad junk, I should return it. Any other insights on that particular toy?
