  1. Years ago, at Toys R Us, I was first in line when they had either a Little Tikes or Fisher Price workbench as a doorbuster for $20. I think at the time it was selling for $50.
  2. The day after Christmas I'm shopping for my Hallmark ornaments half price. When stuff goes 75% or more, then I look for paper I could use for birthdays, ribbon, bows, any really cute decorations for us or to use as gifts for the following year.
  3. I bought the Pokemon XD GAmecube Bundle from EB Games 2 weeks ago for $99. It came with a Platinum Gamecube w/Pokemon on it, the Pokemon XD game (which sells for $50) and one controller.
  4. I add it to the grocery list as I bring stuff in from the van and buy specifically on the next trip. I normally keep a lot of AA around for all the toys/games but it never fails that I buy something that needs AAA or a combination of sizes or something!

    boxes or bags

My kids stuff is all wrapped. Everybody else is wrapped unless it's odd shaped and it's easier to fit in a bag than try to wrap. I still tie bag handles together with the crinkle ribbon and stick bows on bags.
  6. My husband just rolled his eyes at me when I told him the Walmart ad was out! I always remind him how generous we appear because I bargain shop so well! (I'd love to be generous and not have to worry about prices, but I think even if I was super rich I wouldn't be able to break the bargain shopping habit!)
  7. We had a big Hot Wheels thing for my middle son one year that we forgot to pull out of the closet and put under the tree. After opening gifts when we realized it, I got the kids distracted in the kitchen while DH ran and got the gift and sort of shoved it way back behind the tree. Then we sat down by the tree and DH "noticed" the gift and my son was happy to get the one thing he really wanted! LOL!!
  8. When we lived in VA, I think it was Toys R Us that gave out Poptarts one year. I think they might have had juice boxes too.
  9. Don't think I've ever gone on Thanksgiving. They run out of stuff too quick here. Guess it's because there's only 2 around here and neither one is very big.
  10. My stuff goes in the back of the van (tinted windows make it hard to see in unless you put your face up to the glass) and then I throw a blanket over it. My girlfriend had her car broken into on BF probably about 10 years ago (they busted up the steering column but didn't steal it) and she was lucky that insurance covered most of it (her purchases) because she had all the receipts that showed she had purchased stuff that day. She said most everything was in the trunk, but she had the thing to pop the trunk from inside the car.
  11. Love them! Always get MIL a supermarket one for Christmas & her birthday since she's on a tight budget. 18 year old nephew always gets a mall GC because he's way too hard to buy for anymore. (It was so much easier when he just wanted a Power Ranger or Ninja Turtle!)
  12. Thanksgiving Day I go through all the ads while DH cooks! Then I'm up super early for the fun of BF shopping on my own. I bebop through the few stores I want to hit and am usually home no later than 9 or 10AM! Even if I don't see any "absolute must have" deals, I still go out because it's tradition!
  13. I usually wear the purse across my body under my (long denim) jacket since I go out on my own.

    Scene It Game

I'm planning on buying the Harry Potter edition for my 10 year old since he is a Harry Potter freak. Read all the books (the latest one he read in 6 days!) and owns the movies and watches them frequently. Guess I should hit Walmart tomorrow and see how much it is there. Wonder if it'd be good for my 8 year old nephew since he's seen/owns all the HP movies too.
