  1. Gee, they really stick by their ticket policy, eh? That's really crappy of them. If they pass out tickets, they need to honor them--and not give them to someone else who just walked in. I'd be so mad!!!
  2. Do let us know if you're successful. These would be great stocking stuffers, but none of my kids are into the color pink or Destiny's Child.
  3. Ok--I thought that was it, but I wanted to make sure. Thanks-I should've just googled it.
  4. I did a keyword search at Wal Mart for "Kid Tough Digital Camera", and I never had one hit titled "kid tough". There was a couple Fisher Price cameras that talked about being able to handle kids being rough with it. Is that what you guys are talking about, or is there a different one? My ds might enjoy one of these.
  5. Thanks, I might consider the 2 for 1 deal now.
  6. Got my items today. One item (hat) was cancelled before they shipped, but the rest was available. I'm very happy with the shirts. Got some 3/4 and long sleeves for the winter. Great quality-
  7. I would do it if I went, however, I have stayed home the last few years due to my perfume allergies. I'm trying to figure out how to go out this year, as my oldest dd has offered to go with me. If anyone asked me because they couldn't I sure would, as I know how it is not to be able to go and have nobody to ask.
  8. I've had a lot of 'bests', so I hate to say just one. Worst: My stepmom got me a yoga dvd that was titled something like "Lose Weight With Yoga". The lose weight part was really not appreciated, even though I wasn't heavy at the time.
  9. Regardless if those people weren't back there to get THEIR ticketed item is irrelevant--they earned it, you did not. That's the whole point of standing in line for a ticket... Whether they were stuck behind other people, or whether they were shopping for other items, it was theirs... Saying you will never stand in line at BB again---does that mean you'll sneak back and take someone else's ticketed item?
  10. It is unethical, in my opinion, however, if I was still getting a deal to pay a little extra, I might pay somebody else to stand in line for me. Only because perfumes give me asthma, and I have been unable to stand in lines specifically because of perfumes/colognes. But, I'd work out the deal before hand, and pay that person to actually shop for me so I wouldn't have to go out at all. Unfortunately, I probably can't afford to do that. I personally would not wait in front and sell them to someone else for a price--even if my health could tolerate it.
  11. This is why I have avoided BF the last 3 or 4 years. I am very short, and I don't stand a chance against taller/larger people, and the news flashes on BF have me scared to death. I really don't want to get beat on. My oldest dd and I really want to go out this year, but we're 1/2 serious, 1/2 joking about taking some pepper spray and maybe padding ourselves with Charmin in case any big person tries to hurt us. I think tickets would be great for Wal Mart, and it would definitely make me feel safer in going out.
  12. Cute idea! Sounds perfect for your boss-
  13. Went today and didn't get much, but 3 shirts for $9 total. Then, went back as my oldest talked me into a skirt that wasn't on sale, but it was cute, and if she'll wear a skirt, I'll buy it..
  14. Sorry, just read the OP and responded to that... Need to pay better attention...
  15. I was afraid of that, as I wanted to wait until today to purchase, but when I went on this morning, it had everything in my cart that I put in yesterday. Sorry that happened to you guys. I was able to get 4 shirts and a hat for $24.00. I'm happy, and hoping it all fits.
  16. If you find out for sure what they are... I don't know if this is the case with all shoes, but when we go shopping for athletic shoes for my dd, they always say mens is a size above. If it's an 8 men's, a woman who wears size 9 would fit them. Not sure if that's for all shoes though.
  17. I use my closet, Dh's armoire, a dresser I have--and last year the RV... It's really hard when we travel for Christmas, as we did (RV) to my folks last year. Was very interesting storing the gifts and bringing them all home... But, we have some storage compartments that you can only get to from the outside with a key, so that worked too!
  18. I do it every year. It's one of the only times I actually sit down and write things to people...
  19. Fake--we bought a real one that we could plant after, but they said we could only have it indoors for 2 weeks, and that's just not long enough, we planted it right away, then bought a fake one. Tree goes up on BF and stays up until after New Year. I'd really love to have a white one, so every other year I could altenrate green and white. I love the white trees with pink or blue decorations--but I wouldn't want it every year.
  20. I would like to do the card exchange. :)
  21. Is Best Buy the only place that does this? We don't have one.
  22. Does anyone know if these run small, or are typical? I looked at the size charts for girls, but they don't have waist sizes, just the inseam. I don't typically shop here, but my dd13 would love the Hailey Skinny jeans...
  23. We have a Pavilion and we are very happy with it. Congrats on your purchase Marc!
  24. I think many insurance companies change attitudes when there is a claim filed. They really don't like paying for things... We have Allstate. I'd really recommend reading through policies if you could. We had to file a claim once for a flood under our house from a pipe that drained our kitchen sink and dishwasher. They said you had to report any disasters before 2 weeks and they said ours had been there for a long time. I really don't think so, as my dh had been under there not too long before and it wasn't there--and it smelled from the dirty water. Regardless, if you were on vacation for 2 1/2 weeks, and you came back to it, they would deny it. Luckily, our personal agent went to bat for us and insisted we should be given another estimate/evaluation, so they allowed a plumber to come out and determine. The first guy was an Allstate adjuster who just shined a flashlight down there and said he wasn't covering it. We ended up getting reimbursed for our costs for cleanup, but it wasn't nice to be treated like someone trying to cheat our insurance company. Thank goodness for our agent.
