  1. The coupon took down the price at first, but when I actually got to the last part in checkout, it added that back in, so I would say the coupon code is not valid until the 25th, like said in OP. At least for me... Also, shipping came out to be $2.85 for me---so not bad at all for shipping, which was ground, 4-9 days. I'll come back on the 25th, as my son would like this a lot. Thanks, OP
  2. I was there on Wednesday and we also had a lot of Clearance items/50% off. I got my son a fleece jacket for $3.50. I only had a few minutes, so not enough time to get more...
  3. They might notice the same address.
  4. You can also find it here: (I couldn't get to it from the above links for some reason) http://www.comcastoffers.com/6/?cid=51993&affid=comcast_special&
  5. Gosh, what an awesome find! Good job, OP. I left a message with my 1/2 sister, as she is due in March. Not sure if she has all her furniture, but I'd sure be willing to get her this at this price.
  6. Congrats everyone!
  7. If you buy some at Safeway, they'll usually spit out coupons for baby food. Gerber that is...
  8. I love Costco. There are regular items that I always purchase for my family (of 5), and it helps us tremendously--and the quality is great. I have no complaints about Costco. I like that they offer some organic foods as well.
  9. I really like Costco. I have no complaints whatsoever. I have never tried Sams or BJ's though.
  10. If I need a lot for a party--or for a reunion I put on, I hit Costco. I'm sure Sams is about the same.
  11. My aunt shops QVC religiously. We always know that anything that comes from her has come from QVC. Some of it's really great stuff and some is typical. She gave me a roaster from there a few years ago that I absolutely love. Also some really great pans. I got my dh a Craftsman tool set there once. It was a great price and he loves the set. Came in a tool box. I haven't shopped there in over a couple years, and before then it was not often--maybe once a year. The smartest thing is to buy brands that you are aware of and have experienced their quality. Obviously Craftsman is great, and always carries lifetime warranties.
  12. I didn't know that. I've used KidVantage, but wasn't aware they replaced clothing. We don't shop there much though now.
  13. I wonder the same thing... It is very cute though. Nice post.
  14. Do their sizes really run exact to the chart? Does anyone know?
  15. Wow, lots of good prices. My kids wear uniforms so that would've been nice. Bummer though, everything I tried to put in my cart was out of stock. Thanks anyhow.
  16. Me neither. I occasionally get invites, but I NEVER qualify...
  17. I think older people are not generally used to the idea of gift receipts. I know also, that when I was little, it was common to completely tear off the tags, as it was somehow "top secret" information that they didn't want to make public... Anyhow, I think some habits die hard. I do have to say though, that some people really do favor other family members over others, and that is sad and hurtful. I'm a "stepchild", and I have lived with the "step" identity and the "rating" that I got as one. I always got a less amount of gifts, and a lesser quality from those households. It was hurtful as a child, but I knew who I mattered to later on in life. It's just unfortunate that some adults aren't aware of how hurtful they are to the younger ones, where gifts really do matter in the way that they don't as adults.
  18. Coming from possibly the other side... I have 2 half-sisters that I don't know well. Not entirely my fault. I'm 36 and they're in their early 20's. I never lived with them. I buy them something every Christmas and birthday. They might complain about what I get them, but it does take effort--time, gas money, and consideration about what I hope they will like--and what my budget allows. If they don't like it, I'm sorry. I don't mind putting in gift receipts. But, I really don't want them going around and complaining about what stupid gifts I get them, as I really try. If they do, I can't stop them, but gosh, I got them something. I took the time to do it. I just want to let them know that I think of them. I don't receive gifts from them. My kids don't. I don't receive emails or letters telling me what they're up to--or their likes or dislikes. Sometimes it's a two-way street...
  19. Gosh, I would think an exchange would be allowed without a receipt. Everywhere else that I know of allows that. That's truly a bummer if TRU won't do an exchange. Especially if the toy isn't working.
  20. Oh my goodness... There's one more for me--a stationery set for my middle dd. I think I might save that for Valentine's day...
  21. Sounds like a fun gift. We're lucky, as we live a ways out, on a bit of property, so our kids can do things like that without any trouble--or fear of hitting anything or anyone. They are also only allowed to use the BB gun when a parent is around. My older two, who do this are girls, but I grew up doing things like that, and they enjoy it too. This year, one of them got a bow and arrow set-so we're onto that now.

    New Years?

We don't do much. We stay home. I make a few snack items and we all stay up until midnight. We're not much of the party type, and our babysitters grew up, so we haven't had a babysitter in a couple years now. I wouldn't mind just going to a movie if we could get a sitter.
  23. I'm getting just like my mom apparently. After the kids did their stockings, I remembered I had a book for each of them that was supposed to go in them. Then, earlier today, I was cleaning my desktop and found the document that was a receipt of two Playstation games I had purchased... I had completely forgotten about them. So, today they got a couple Playstation games. Do any of you do things like that?
  24. Usually after the New Year, but last year it went down earlier. We're heading home today, so we'll see... Lots of unloading, laundry, and organizing the house first.
