  1. Oh gosh... This would be a good one for the Christmas exchange where my dh works... How cute.
  2. I loved this show too. I completely missed this thread--they go so quickly...
  3. We don't have a TRU anymore... I am thinking on this one for my ds11--it isn't a planned one, but darn, you had to bring it up...
  4. We do one in the living room and a tiny one the kids do on their own--sometimes it's in their room, sometimes in an opposite corner as the other tree. No theme really. My aunt got me some glass ornaments that I've been using--the kids' tree has their handmade ornaments--and whatever they want to put on it. I also have some of their handmade ornaments on my tree.
  5. Woo Hoo! I got my list today, and printed it out. I am looking forward to getting started--I enjoy doing Christmas cards. When are y'all going to start mailing them? Thanks Eve-:)
  6. Good luck with it all. I don't envy you. I have a stepmom and dad who have everything they could want--and buy things on a different level than we do--if you know what I mean. I have just gone to homemade things or food. Last year, I embroidered (very easy with stamped on patterns) a set of pillow cases for her, and gave my dad a huge tin of shortbread cookies from Costco. Another year, I did a photo album that I did an applique thing on the cover. This year, I'm stumped so far... It's really hard--especially when they might be the sort to comment on what you get...
  7. Do you know how long this offer is good for?
  8. Woo Hoo! THANK YOU!!!!!! My dh loves these, and I was considering buying 2 pair on Craigslist for him for $40.00. I just got 3 different pair for 42 something. I'm so happy!!!! I'll give him 1 pair now and 2 for Christmas.
  9. Yeah, my dh wants the hard drive camcorder. He doesn't want to mess with DVD at all. But, for us, it's still out of our budget. And, it's not as important to my dh as it is me...
  10. Me too--I want it for my kids' sporting events. I have a camera that takes clips, but it would be so nice to record directly onto DVD, imo...
  11. I got both my orders finally--I had ordered twice in 2 days. Anyhow, in both orders, I ordered the candles, but neither order came with them. They said they were out. So, I just got the free gifts in one box, and the poncho and free gifts in the other. Now, I have 1 poncho, 6 scarves and two bottles of the brown sugar almond body wash. Like above, I figured my girls could give out the scarves along with a cute calendar to their friends. The body wash will be among other things in a gift basket. I don't know what I'll do with the poncho--I haven't opened it, but it does look pretty cheap. Maybe I'll see what it feels like and just cuddle up in it at home when I'm cold. Otherwise, I'll donate it to someone. I had sorta planned on my stepmom, as she wears those things, but I don't think she'd like it.
  12. I used to get this (or Nick Jr) for my girls. They loved it. There was a lot of funny things--how to play tricks on people, prank labels that they could use, etc. It was by far their favorite magazine. They would fight over it.
  13. Me too. I don't really have a lot--they're just my favorite to add to what I have. I try to add a couple new decorations each season.
  14. Whew! Glad to hear. I thought maybe I missed something. I hadn't checked here in awhile. Wasn't trying to hurry anyone... Thanks eve for doing this for everyone.
  15. OK--you're scaring me. Do you have everybody's addresses already? I do not, so I'm worried. Are you just talking about your address? I sure hope so...
  16. We take and print our own photos at home now. I don't do photo cards, as I love to buy a couple different Christmas cards--I just put the photo inside.
  17. Thanks so much--I just got my oldest a t-shirt with a pic of her and her 2 best friends (who she no longer goes to school with--and misses).
  18. Thanks! Weird, first it said sold out, but now it's letting me check out. Hope it's really there.
  19. Yep. Darn, this would've been a great gift for my ds. But, for their sake, that's a big price mistake--and quite a loss if so many people get it.
  20. And they're nice too--my ds has a lot of clothes right now still to grow into, but darn, at that price, it makes me want to stock up on more.
  21. It depends on where we are. We live in a state away from all relatives, so if we're here, we do different things than if we travel to visit others. at home: On Christmas eve, we have a dinner and a couple hours before bed, we open a couple gifts. We might watch a movie. Christmas morning, the kids are allowed to get up and get into their stocking whenever they want. When we get up, they show us everything they got, and we're always "wowed" by Santa's gifts--however, only 1 child is convinced by that now. We make breakfast, and after breakfast, we open all the rest of the gifts. Everybody plays with their new stuff, and mom (me) starts gathering up the wrapping/bows. Dh always heads outside to start a fire. We snack on the leftovers from the night before. This year, we're leaving the morning after Christmas, so we'll get to do gifts here, then load the RV and head out to see family for a few days. Will be nice not to transport all the gifts back and forth, as that's what we did last year. Was a LOT of loading and stashing in the RV.
  22. I try to get a somewhat even amount for each kid, but this year it is probably going to be more of spending the same on each kid.
