    WII Got One!

well i got one for the kids in june for a graduation persent they both graduated. but my friend got one from ebay for her boys she said the one fell on the floor lol, she said just like my kids did. i love those kind of surprises it makes it so worth the trouble and money of getting it! congrats on getting one.
  7. i finally made it to bed at 3 am, only to have my dd6 wake up to use the bathroom at 6:30 am and of course then it was time to open gifts, think i'll take a nap later i'm tired! but it was so worth it. was it the same for anyone else?
  8. my dd6 was asking at 5:30 if it was time for bed lol she just fell asleep about a half hour ago and my son14 just went to bed, i still have 3 gifts to wrap and here i thought i was done. my video camera is charging, i went to put the new tape in when i found i bought the wrong size oh well the kids have been playing with an extra tape making movies guess i'll use that one.
  9. as i wrapped the gifts i took noticed to what needed batteries, i went to rite aid which had a big sale on them, i got some rechargable for the Wii remotes (i'm so tired of those dieing), and i got 16 pks of aa and aaa. i figured that was enough, well i went to wrapp the rest of the gifts and came across the 2 WowWee Roboreptile Robotics they each take 9 aa batteries thats 18, good thing rite aid still had the sale, i had to go and get another pk of 16.
  10. they already know about it i tell everyone, and i know her DH has checked it out already. lol be funny if she mentions reading this thread well at least she'll know i thought about her feelings.
  11. well that just went out the window, i even told them they were ruining my christmas with the teasing and fighting:gdgirlfight3ol:, but it didn't stop till mommy has to yell! and then they ask if they can open a present
  12. here in my neighborhood almost everything is open at least half the day. except mcd's and most pizza shops, i remember they used to close for christmas and new years day.
  13. maybe next yr you could give some donations to a food drive or toys for tots and give out cards saying that something was given in their name. this way you can give to your family with our breaking your pocket or hurting your pride.
  14. aww thats great, i'm glad you guys worked that one out.
  15. i have a friend who's man does this evey yr and last yr he just totally disappeared for the day. this yr they have a baby so she don't care what he does she's going to make it happy for the baby (almost 1).
  16. thats because everyone did their shoppoing here on gottadeal lol seriously i'm not going out today. i went to rite aid last night and it was packed.
  17. i know that puts a damper on things, maybe you can ask the kids to wait to open them tomorrow, just let your husband know. can he leave a little earlier tomorrow? and please be careful taking the gift down.
  18. i get 8 for $1 at the dollar stores. what i want is the medal ones you get from the dry cleaners but i can't find them anywhere. and there a fortune online.
  19. it's not thread jacking. i think it goes right along with what i asked. i'm sorry you feel like, i can understand, thats why i asked for advice and i got a lot of help. i know how i would feel when people would bring gifts for the kids and i would have to tell them i would get them something later but i still felt bad. have you tried telling them how it makes you feel when they give the gifts and you can't give to theirs? this is why i asked for help. i didn't want to make my friend feel bad, christmas is suppose to be a joy not a burden and i dont want to add to anyones stress.
  20. it's suppose to be in the upper 40's and sunny, no snow
  21. my son wanted a chicken for christmas it's 8lbs. our turkey for thanksgiving was 14 lbs.
