i was just thinking of the samething. it's like the 2 go together, i have to admit i wouldn't mind one of those when i'm in bed and forget the light is on. now i use the one i have on my headboard. all i have to do is reach over the pillow and turn the switch lol.

same here if it's really pretty i'll save it but for the most part just tare through. i don't get wrapped gifts anymore so i'm usually yelling at the kids just tare it open, lol. i had some beautiful boxes saved but there was a flood in my basement and they got all wet and in the garbage they went, so there went that.

my dog and cats get what ever meat it is we're having. last yr on jan 4th we lost our ginger to caner and i regret not doing it but she was never in to toys, but sandy our new dog is 100% kid. she loves to play. so we got her some toys for a stocking and my 5yr dd put it up and i found the dog walking aound the house with it trying to get the toys out, so now i have it up till tonight lol.we got some toy fishing rods for the kids to play with the cats but the dog found those and now there gone so there went that. ( i swear that dog eats everything).

i know how you feel, (this was years ago) i went with a friend to a nauty store and she was buying a bra, there was a guy behind the register so she made me pay for it. well she's a DD and i'm well not that big, anyway he looked at the size then looked at me and then at her and said this isn't for you now is it lol i said well now that he knows that you might as well pay for it and stepped aside. i just laughed about it but she turned pretty red it turned out he was the owner of the place and checks for the sizes to see whats be baught. but since i know he does that i won't shop there either, to embarrasing.

well for some reason i'm always in the 30 something range even when it was just my son. now i have my son 12 and my dd 5 and i just added up what all i got them and it totaled 32 each enclueding stocking stuffers. and the cost was $290 for her and $270 for him. i started in sept and took advantage of alot of buy 2 get 1 free sales or % off i did pretty good this year. but i have some money coming in the next few weeks and i'm afraid i'm going to go way over that if i get it before christmas lol if i get it after christmas i'm thinking of just surprising them with a few things i couldn't get them like he wants the nintendo DS and she wants well everything lol. happy holidays everyone

i love the way it looks with the presents under the tree, but with the cats it's hard because the cats would tare them open trying to walk under the tree or taking th bows off so now it all goes under christmas eve. and everything gets wrapped only i don't always say it's from me i'll just put who it's for since my kids (12 and 5) know i'm the one who gets the stuff.

took our bird out this morning, it's not big so it should be good by thursday. if it's not i'll just stick in some cool salt water and it'll be soft in no time (done it before with other meats).glad to have the space in the freezer again. -
i have both a dog and cats and i would say if your going to have a baby soon maybe you should think about a kitten they don't need to be walked and they don't need alot of attention like a dog does. my daughter is 5 and when her brother was in school it was hard trying to train the dog to go to the bathroom outside. quite a lot of times i would be getting her dressed and the dog would go on the floor. puppies alos chew because they teeth just like kids only they chew when thier getting thier adult teeth. our sandy (in the pic) chewed up alot of the babies toys, bottles. cats do claw at times so you have to be careful with that and you also have to becareful with allergies (both dogs or cats) i would say wait a little while after you have the baby and take them over to visit the animals and see if anything happens. you don't want to get a pet then find out you can't keep it.

yeah thats it, if you want you can add a extra butter to the juice when you put the potatoes in just to give a little extra flavor. let me know if you try it and how it comes out, we love it here. shame you can't get the adobo it's great to use. i'm not much on using spices so it's a blessing to me. lol:D

best easy to use digital camera for my mom
lisamag replied to TnDimples's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
i got the olympus stylus 300 digital, it's a really nice it comes with a remote control so you can be in the pics as you take them, built in flash and you can hook it up to the comp to down load the pics and it can be recharged. you can change the size of the pics so you can take more but that does effect the pic a little. it's a little tech but not that hard to work. it takes great pics and it has a zoom button on it. i love it. i got it last yr from CC for $100. -
What Gameboy Games are best for a 4yr old girl?
lisamag replied to brynnfromtheblock's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
we have the link cable it only works with some of the games. we got the 3 in one cable. it can link 2 game boys or they can be link to the game cube (got it from game stop for $8). the games usually say if they can be used with the cable. the games we got are the pokemon games and zelda four swords, but i know there alot more. you need the same type games like pokemon firered and pokemon leafgreen can link together to battle or to do trades. most pokemon games can be linkedtogether but you need one game in each game boy for it to work. -
My best price so far (Got a free pair of jeans @ Sears)
lisamag replied to shopping mom's topic in Offline Hot Deals
that is great, they probably haven't fixed it yet because none of the sales rep want to get in trouble for letting it go. did any of them get a manager? i've work in sales before and i don't know what i would do if something came up like that. -
my son is turning 13 next month and he keeps asking me for one, i told him when he gets a job and can pay for the bill he can have one. he only has a few friends that he calls and i rather he use the house phone, sometimes they want it but don't need it. his friend got one last yr and he was only 9 and gave the number to all his friends and they called him to play jokes and would use up all his minutes in a few days (he had pre-paid). or he would call people in the middle of the night because he couldn't sleep, they got it for him because he wanted it not because he needed it. and he's gone through 3 already. i won't do it because most kids at that age don't understand about how much it cost to have a phone. but if you decide to get one i've heard they have phones that are for preteens, and that you can have more control over the phone calls and the texting, ect. you can also get a pre paid to test it and see how you, both handle it. good luck which ever way you go

well my son's birthday is coming up and he's driving me nuts with telling his friends he's having a party (surpise to me, didn't think he wanted one this yr) his bd is next month and he's asking what time is it going to start. like i know that now and my 5 yr dd she wants EVERYTHING she see. girls or boys toys it don't matter. with so much being advertised she is constantly saying "i want that". i tell her yes i know, we'll see, christmas is coming, maybe. i don't raise them thinking santa is coming. my kids know i'm the one who gives them everything.

Do you give gifts to teachers' assistants too?
lisamag replied to 2littleguys's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
same here. my son is in the 5th grade and he has an aid in his class that has done great work with him, she was able to tell me more about the work he does in the class then the teacher did. i would definitely but something. and a great gift you can get is a GC. i spoke with some of the teachers in the school to try and get ideas and that was the one thing they said they could always use. if you need more ideas you can always go to the parent-teacher cordinator, mine was very helpful. -
the tree i had had a light in the base of the stand and the tree was over it and this colored piece rotated causing a rainbow of light through the tree. it was very pretty. do the pre-lit trees come with colored lights? i haven't heard anyone mention colored lights, it's always all white, but the one's i see in ads say white or color. i never seen color lights on a pre-lit and i i like the color over all white.

i just rub butter over the whole thing and then sprinkle adobo on it, for those who don't know adobo is a pre mix of spices you can get in the supermarket usually in the spanish section. the one i use contains salt, garlic, oregano, black pepper, turmeric, (and tricalium phoshate to prevent caking). i like the one with the pepper but there are different ones you can get, i use it on most of my meats, just becareful if you use to much it can be salty. and just baste to keep the bird moist as you normally do.
