Well, I hit Meijer this morning at 4:30 to be sure to get the iPod Shuffle. Thankfully I got one, but that was the most unorganized mess I've ever seen. I hate to see what it's going to be like there tomorrow. They said they refused to tell where the Shuffles were going to come out at b/c they didn't want a mob. I asked if they didn't expect a mob of MAD people who had been there since 4:30 when people who walked in the front door at 6am got the deal. Following that they agreed to bring the Shuffles back to the electronics dept and hand them out there. Even still, I had to force my way to the front of the crowd regardless of the fact I had been there first. A lady walked up and said she didn't care that she just got there, and took an iPod. I guess that's the one thing I can't stand are the rude people! They also had their milk gallons B1G1F, so that was nice. :)

I have never been a Thanksgiving fan, so I look at BF as a way to get past the holiday! I know that sounds horrible, but for some reason I've never liked it. I am working tomorrow from 3-11pm, so my family will celebrate without me. :) We're going to my mom's tonight for our Thanksgiving dinner with her.

The perfume was Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker. I enjoyed the show, but must admit that it always shocks me when I hear the prices of some of those items. $695 for a purse? Give me a break!

Let the games begin? It doesn't sound like you're playing the same game as me! You've got several edges compared to other shoppers. While I don't have an issue so much with you knowing where items will be, I do have an issue with an employee holding merchandise for you. That's not fair at all. Sorry, just MHO. I think you deserve as much as you can get with all the work you've done, but having someone hold merchandise for you is wrong.

I felt the same way last week when I was inquiring about the 360s. The electronics manager wouldn't come and talk to me because "she's out on the trailer and said she can't talk to a customer right now", so after getting two different answers from two electronics department employees, I went and found the store manager and got a direct answer from him.

Best Buy has had coffee and doughnuts the last few years. Thankfully my Starbucks is open 24/7 now, so I'll grab my own on my way to get in line.

Hmmmm...midnight on the 25th? I'm wondering if I can get wireless access while in line at Best Buy!
-
I saw on Best Buy's website to go to your local store or check the site for availability at midnight, so it's possible they MIGHT have some available online.

There has always been price differences among WMs. I remember buying diapers at one over the other to get a cheaper price. I would expect nothing different when it comes to all their products. WM is not my favorite store, but I must admit that I save a lot of money by doing my weekly shopping there over any other store (not to mention it's 3 miles from my home).

We have Christmas flannel sheets for all the beds, but I bought mine at Kohl's at 75% off after Christmas a few years ago. With four bedrooms I just can't imagine going this time of year to buy complete bedding sets for all of them at full price. LOL However, personally I feel that if it's what your wife wants and you say money is not the issue, let her decorate the way she wants. :)

The only reason I'll cry during today's show is because of jealousy! LOL Really though, they did say that they would tell how today's audience got to be today's audience. I know that when she gave the cars away they said it was only to people who "needed" them, but a lady who lives not too far from me won a vehicle, and her family was not a family in need. Anyway, I'm excited about today's show too! :)

My WalMart already gave out tickets for their 360s. There were 20+ people in line at 5pm Saturday night for tickets they were beginning to give out at 12:01 Sunday morning.

Wow, thanks so much! I got Nanos today for two of the older boys, and I thought the 12 yo might like a Shuffle, but didn't want to spend that much on it b/c he is more likely to mess it up, but I'm willing to spend half that after rebate! Thank you!!

I think my store number was 232. I hope no viruses...that's the last thing we need around here.

OMG, when I follow that link and click on the link below my local store's number it sends me to PORNOGRAPHIC photos! Not good when your 5 year old is looking at the computer with you. That really sucked and was completely inappropriate!!

My son who is five loves anything he can build with. I would go for Legos. Oh, and he's not into how many presents he gets. In fact, last year all he wanted for Christmas was a toy mop, a toy broom, and a toy zoo. He's pretty easy to please. :)

This is one of my favorites on the calendar! I think the little guy enjoys it too.

Yes, I forgot, we always put scratch-off tickets in the stockings too! I typically buy $5 worth for each of the kiddos. Unfortunately, nobody has ever won more than $2.

Last year I had a Thanksgiving-Christmas calendar for my youngest, who was four at the time. Each day had a Christmas-minded activity. In a tragic accident, we lost our hard drive, which means we lost the calendar! Can you help me come up with fun things to put on each day? Some of the days were easy things such as "read a story from your Christmas book" to more lengthy things including visiting Santa, sleeping by the Christmas tree, shopping and buying for someone in need, etc. Anyhow, I thought that since I lost the calendar I would start working on the new one and might be able to get some great NEW ideas from all of you. Thanks in advance!!

Dh puts the lights on, so it's not happened to me. I can't stand doing the lights!!

We have my parents and my ils over for dinner. I fix a whole beef tenderloin with all the extras to go with it. After dinner we give our parents their gifts so that the next morning can be all about the children. Plus, we don't see my parents on Christmas Day, only my ils, so we have to give my parents their gifts then.

I have one in the great room, one in the foyer, and one upstairs outside the boys' rooms.

There aren't any alternative routes here because all of the big stores are all on the same road. Thankfully I live on a side of town that isn't as crowded as others!
-
No, because Santa gifts aren't wrapped at all here.

New toothbrushes and toothpaste in all of them, and then different things depending on their particular interests. The oldest usually gets gift cards to his favorite places, and the youngest gets little stuff I just pick up.
