  1. I only have a Christmas tree, which I bought up there in Orlando, and when we assembled it, we just couldn't believe how big it was. At that time, there weren't big trees here, only those small table ones. The one I bought is 6 feet tall, and it was a sensation!!! LOL So in the first week of December, we put the tree up, and a garland for the door. Very few people have outdoor decoration here, only on the balconies (for the ones who have one). Nobody even has Christmas CDs to play at home. I used to have an album, but people here think it's kinda ridiculous to play Christmas songs at home. Only at stores and malls. We used to have hot chocolate, and the same kind of food you guys have up there. But as it's always boiling hot here at Christmas, many people actually felt sick for eating winter food in the hot Brazilian summer. So now we have tropical versions of typical Christmas food, like cold ham with peaches in syrup, or cold turkey salad. And, of course, ice-cream!!!!
  2. Once more, thanks a lot for your explanation, Pam!!!!:) So, if the Walmart is 24/7 and we go there earlier, we may know where the itmes are, but not which items are in each display...Why do they do that??? It seems pointless to me.
  3. Sorry, guys... But I am still kinda confused about the pallet thing. What exactly is it? I mean... what's the meaning of "pallet"? They are kinda "hidden" all over the store? What do you have to do to buy the items? Sorry... it's just that English isn't my native language, and sometimes dictionaries don't help you much.
  4. But if your local Walmart is 24/7 and if it opens on Thanksgiving, you can go in earlier and start shopping, and wait for early in the morning to get the best deals, right?
  5. That sounds like a great plan if you wanna shop in different stores. Saves you time, I guess.
  6. Oh, my... My aunt freaks out for anything... She'll end up fighting with someone. I just hope we don't get arrested and deported!!

    How many...

And oh, jeans, sneakers and a comfortable sweatshirt for me. No make up, a pony tail for the hair not to bother me... That's what I plan to wear.

    How many...

Oh, my!!! Congratulations, you are a brave woman! I wouldn't have the guts to take my daughter to BF shopping. This is one of the reasons I'm not taking her to the USA with me now, she would ruin my BF shopping! She just doesn't stop for a second, she would cry, try to run away... Anything we try to do with her turns into a huge adventure! Congratulations for having such nice and beautiful kids!
  10. Yeah... I'll talk to my aunt about this, and decide what to do. We don't want to arrive up there in the USA and remember the best fanny pack stayed in Brazil...
  11. Yeah, I think planning in advance mayb be the best idea to get everything you want. Maybe if you try to go to the store that has all the items you want, and take the other stores' ads, and ask them to PM... I think it's the best way to do it.
  12. Yeah, welcome!!! I've been here for only two weeks and I already feel home. You'll like it here.
  13. Oh, my... hadn't thought of that... I am planning to go to different stores, so I gotta plan this very well.
  14. Awwww... this anticipation is driving me nuts.......
  15. OMG!!!! This seems to be the funniest and most annoying character in the world...
  16. Already?????
  17. Yeah, that's my hope when I log in here too...
  18. Are they here yet??????
  19. Awwwwwwwwwwww.... I want November to arrive!!!! I really wish I were up there, because you have a whole season since Halloween... Our season only starts in the end of November, because of Christmas and New Year's..
  20. I just love Christmas decorations!!!! As we don't decorate houses for Halloween (we are now starting to have Halloween parties, and decorations at stores, but there's no trick-or-treating, or going out on the streets wearing costumes), and we don't even have Thanksgiving, the only time of the year we decorate houses is Christmas. When I move to the USA, I'll decorate my house in all the occasions!!!
  21. Good to know, Pam!!! Thanks for one more advice!!!!!
  22. Cool!! Couldn't email Walmart, as they ask for an American address on the website and, well, I still don't have one... Anyway, I think I'll go there and ask some days before, to avoid bad surprises on BF. If this price matching thing works, it's gonna be awesome, because on BF I can go to other stores early in the morning, and then go to Walmart to PM!
  23. I think I'll email Walmart and ask them if they PM on BF, and if I can buy it before, and only PM at BF. Maybe they still PM, but only if you show the other store's ad at the time you're buying... so I would like to be sure...
  24. Cool site! Thanks!
