  1. I remember it changed about two/three months after I joined. It went from being accessible to being listed as a semi-private forum for which I had to request access. But a PM to Brad got me in right away.
  2. You can also make your own out of melamine foam, an insulation sheeting. I think it's available at places like Lowes and Home Depot.
  3. Not anymore. You can access it at AOL Store Deals and Clearances. However, to post you need to create an account (for free) on aim.com. It used to be strictly Target related, but AOL got antsy about using a corporate name. So now it's basicially like this forum, devoted to all b&m deals and freebies. But Target posts still pretty much dominate the board.
  4. :::sigh::: It's been my experience that unless a team member is on the mark down team, that 99% of the time most employees don't know what's on clearance either. The only time they appear to know, is the day the seasonal items go 90% off, and then you'll see several paying for cartloadsful before customers are allowed inside the store at opening. Nice employee perk.
  5. :::stolen from Gloria on the AOL Store Deals and Clearances board:::
  6. :::nodding::: Yeah, I think after Easter goes salvage (which it did this past Monday) we go into another fairly dry spell as far as Target clearance goes. I think the next big departmental markdown will be the summer toy clearance? And I think that doesn't even happen until mid-June or July. I hope everyone keeps posting their finds. When there's no big markdown, it's the hidden finds that carry us through.
  7. Are you going by the stickers, or are you scanning items to see if they're scanning lower? Is your Target a busy one? I've found less shopped Targets to have more clearance left than one that is always busy.
  8. Well, the Gator Town Michael's was 90% off of Easter, but no fillable eggs left. I'll try running by JoAnn's and CVS tomorrow and see if they went 90% off yet.
  9. LOL, no. I'm not the Easter Bunny. But we have about 50 school aged residents who take part in our egg hunt, and I hate telling them "You can each only find five eggs" or some such. So, if I can get 800 eggs, they can really fill their baskets without me worrying about some kids not getting any, kwim? Thank you! ::: on my way out the door:::
  10. Thanks all! I'll keep checking Michael's, Joann's and Kmart.
  11. I perimeter perused after checking out the 90% off Easter clearance at the Gator Town Target yesterday, and came upon a lone box of a Back to Basics Cocoa-Latte Maker. It was red stickered as retail $29.99 clearanced 75% off for $7.48. I had never seen this product before, but had missed Paul's birthday as Beorn and I were down in Fort Lauderdale for seder on Paul's birthday and Paul had a class to teach so he couldn't join us. The reviews on the Target site all appear good, except for one dissenter. We haven't tried it out yet, but for $7.48, I won't complain too much if it doesn't work well.
  12. I need to find 750 plastic fillable eggs for next year's egg hunt. I did find 50 at Target for 19¢ the bag. A poster on an AOL board suggested I look for them at Michael's. Does anyone know if Michael's has a markdown schedule for holiday clearance, and if they go to 90% off?
  13. :::double posting::: I went to two Walgreens and two CVS yesterday, all within three miles of each other. At both chains, one store was 75% off and the other was only 50% off. What was interesting, is that the two stores across the street from each other were different percentages, not the same. So neighborhood had nothing to do with it.
  14. The only thing I needed at 90% off today was 16 bags of the 48 count Easter eggs at 19 cents each to use for next year's Easter Bunny egg hunt in our apartment complex. But my target only had one bag left. Waaa... http://kevinswatch.ihugny.com/phpBB2/images/smiles/icon_cry.gif
  15. Welcome Krysee. Read the first post of this thread, called the Newbie GuideNewbie Guide[/url]. It has basic perimeter perusing tips and hints.
  16. Where in Wal-Mart would I find the 70¢ oven mits?
  17. If the typical holiday markdown schedule is followed, the seasonal stuff will probably go: Friday - Sunday: 30% off Monday - Wednesday: 50% off Thursday - Saturday: 75% off Sunday and maybe Monday: 90% off It might follow the schedule posted above, since it is Easter themed. But I have found the One Spot holiday items tend to follow a different schedule than the seasonal markdowns.
  18. A Target team member who posts on the AOL board says the One Spot went 75% off at the Target he works at in St. Louis today. However, several posters ran out after he posted, and found the items in their One Spot still scanning at 50% off. I already bought what I need at 50% off, but I need to run to Target for a wedding shower gift later. I'm pretty sure my One spot went 50% off on Sunday, so I'm going to scan a blue dot item just to see what it scans at.
  19. Ack! I didn't look that closely at the signage. I'll know for next time, thanks! But didn't it go 50% off on Sunday this time?
  20. I honestly don't know. The last time I saw the One Spot go clearance, it went on a Thursday and stayed at each markdown for a couple of weeks. So, we'll have to keep our eyes on it. I will say in the past at the Gator Town Target, the One Spot has not been marked that it was on clearance. This time there was very specific signage up that all blue dot merchandise was 50% off.
  21. I was notified of it on an AOL board yesterday. I'm wondering if it went Thursday, which is when I've seen One Spot items go clearance before.
  22. On the AOL board it has been posted that the blue dot merchandise in the One Spot is ringing up half off. I need to get goodies for the Easter Bunny to hand out here in Village Housing, where I'm an activities programmer. I think 50 cents an item will suffice. I'll be running by there shortly, and hope I haven't missed out. I would normally wait for 75% off, but I need at least 50 items...
  23. Crissy, my Target will give me full value for coupons, as long as I'm buying other items that eat up the savings so I wind up owing them some money at the end of the transaction. Your Target won't do that?
