  1. Can anyone tell me if Dillard's mens dress shirts consistantly run small? My dh wears 2X (or XXL) in dress shirts everywhere else, but the ones i found for him on clearance at Dillard's (Claibourne, Mondo) were all too small in the shoulders and sleeves. And they don't come in 3X.
  2. Great job, bravesrule! And thanks for the hint on the peelies location!
  3. At the Gator Town Target I got 1 pound boxes of various Market Pantry pasta for 23 cents each. Scan the boxes though, not all varieties were that cheap. The ones I got were: Penne Regate Bowties (shelf tagged at 44 cents) Elbow Macaroni (shelf tagged at 55 cents) Angle Hair But the medium shells and the spaghetti rung up higher. Also, Market Pantry brand of deluxe shells and cheese was scanning for 68 cents each. Although an AOL poster said she found the same dinner for 33 cents.
  4. YVW!! That's exactly what I had!! Same here. We almost didn't stop because we thought the wait would be at least 30 minutes. My IHOP kept serving the free pancakes until 8:00 PM. But they did limit the deal to one per customer.
  5. Uh-oh... Please keep in mind that the offer is only from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Paul and I went at 9:00 AM this morning. The parking lot was jammed packed, but there was no waiting and no line. YUM...
  6. Oops, I see this was already mentioned in the Freebie forum. Feel free to delete.
  7. I'm not sure if this is the appropriate forum, or if this has already been shared here. I think this is nationwide, but the local IHOP in Gator Town is promoting tomorrow, Tuesday, February 28, as National Pancake Day. Makes sense, since it's Shrove Tuesday. In honor of National Pancake Day, this IHOP is doing free pancakes from 7:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Each customer can get one free short stack during that time period. Ah...it looks like it will be nationwide. IHOP National Pancake Day
  8. Thanks for the information!! Is there a model name as well? At the Gator Town Target today... It was pretty picked over, and I missed out on the green comforter from India I wanted, but it wasn't a must have. I mostly concentrated on items for teachers gifts and grocery items. There was one of those gorgeous bamboo mirrors left. But it was cracked on one side, so I passed. For teachers: 3 pillows from India, 2 originally $29.99 ---> $2.99 and the other originally $19.99 ---> $1.99 5 sets ceramic dipping bowls from Asia, originally $7.99 ---> 79 cents For the art teacher I also found a Garden Place hanging basket with last year's tag mixed in with the same exact items with this year's tag. The new tag items are selling for $12.99, I got this one for $2.48 Back to Global Bazaar, the rest were grocery items for me, although I may use the two piece bruschetta sets as gifts as needed. 3 olive oil and tomato bruschetta sets $9.99 ---> 99 cents 3 olive oil and tomato & pepperoni bruschetta sets $9.99 ---> 99 cents 2 boxes balsamic vinegar tagliatelle $3.49 ---> 34 cents 4 bottles extra virgin olive oil $6.99 ---> 69 cents 5 bottles balsamic vinegar $6.99 ---> 69 cents 6 over a pound bags of spaghetti $2.49 ---> 24 cents 3 over a pound bags of penne $2.49 ---> 24 cents 3 jars arrabiatta sauce (for calamari fra diavolo!!) $5.99 ---> 59 cents 3 jars porcini mushroom sauce $5.99 ---> 59 cents 1 jar marinara $5.99 ---> 59 cents Total with 6.25% sales tax on the non-food items...$33.83. So that would have been about $330 retail. :-)
  9. Could you post the model name or number, and the DPCI or UPC for the one you got?
  10. mdsmithers, did you record what day of the week January 7 in 2004 and January 6 in 2005 was? Did you keep track of this year's (2006) markdowns?
  11. :::sigh::: I found three really nice XXL dress shirts for Paul that I paid $66.00 for total. Unfortunately, he's been bench pressing and has expanded his chest and shoulders. The XXL still fits his neck and gut, but the sleeves are now way too short. And none of these styles come in 3X or 2XLT.
  12. My Target's Valentines section was really picked over, but I did find three boxes of truffles for 39¢ each and a package of HP: GOF 2006 wall calendars (I think there are five calendars in the package) for 99¢ for the entire package. The One Spot at the Gator Town Target also still had tons of the Ever-Ready Gold AAA 2-pack of batteries left. They also scanned at 90% off, so I got 12 packages at 10¢ each.
  13. Wow! Sounds like your Target marked down to 90% a day early! According to the holiday schedule, Valentines should be 90% off when Target opens in the morning. Did you scan any other Vaelentines merchandise besides the animals?
  14. My now 12 year old aspie son, Beorn, always had well attended birthday parties until we stopped having them Not because he was popular, as with his AS his social skills are what suffer, but because of the goody baskets I gave out every year. On 90% off Easter merchandise day, I bought as many baskets as I could, and Easter grass. Throughout the year I bought small toys and games at 75% off or more, and saved them for the goody baskets. I would say all told I never spent more than $2.00 per basket, but at retail price each was probably worth about $25. The kids loved them and the moms always asked how I did it.
  15. Welcome sewwise! I wish i could answer your question about The One Spot, but I haven't figured it out myself. There is a Target employee on the AOL board I frequent who works The One Spot at his store, and while he will not tell us ahead of time when items will be clearanced, he gives us a heads up about them usually the evening they go clearance. Many times other posters who stumbled across the items will have posted about them first, but there have been occasions where he told us and no one had posted about them. I'll be happy to post whe he tells us about further clearance, if no one else posts about it first, whenever he tells us.
  16. Ooops! Different thread!! Sorry about that...
  17. Hmm...I guess some posts went missing. Weren't there multiple posts with members asking to be pm'd with whom their referrals are? And didn't Ross reply that he would try and respond sometime in February? If so, I'm still interested in knowing who my 101 referrals are.
  18. Please tell us more abut shopping Dillards clearance. I got Target down pretty good, and am willing to learn to apply similar methods to other stores.
  19. :::nodding::: I do not have a BJ's nearby, but this is what posters on other boards who do belong to BJ's have told me. Since you are a member, why not give it a try and see what they say?
  20. :::nodding::: I believe it's law here that a lower sticker price has to be honored, especially if there are others marked that way and you can show you didn't switch stickers. Was it a plain orange sticker with just the price or did it have numbers across the top? If it had numbers, and they match the DPCI (inventory numbers I think) for the item, then it is definitely store error. And if the numbers don't match the DPCI for the item, but all of the same items have the sticker, then it is still sotre error for marking the wrong item.
  21. I only have Sam's locally, so that's where I belong. But I understand BJ's allows you to use coupons, and more than one coupon on a single multipack of the same item. If the selection, selling price, and membership fees are similar, this would be a big reason for me to switch if BJ's ever opened here.
  22. Welcome! ITA it would help but I don't buy all of the deals I report that I find, so I don't have the number on a receipt to refer to. And I don't write down the DPCI (which is what the 9 digit number is called) off of the shelf tag. Just perimeter perusing inthe past has gotten me tailed by security on occasion since the shopping pattern is so differnt from the typical shopper. I don't want to add writing down DPCI numbers has another reason to be followed. I truly don't think that's necessary, as all items will eventually go clearance at all Targets, if they don't sell out first. But, that is just MHO.
  23. Argh! I scanned the bocce set when I was there this morning, but figured the crochet would scan the same when the bocce set scanned at $89.99. Even I need to remember to scan everything I'm interested in sometimes. Great find. Those Eddie Bauer sets in the wooden crates are nice!
  24. I just want to welcome red to the board. I love having other experienced perimeter perusers like crissy and red posting. :::stolen from the AOL board, but i found several of the same deals this morning::: Our store had tons of 75% off last night. Foldable canvas lawn type chairs with bag reg $12.99 for $3.xx, sleeping bags in a box reg $19.99 for $4.98, tons of Eddie Bauer luggage reg $129.00 for $27.xx, EB luggage reg $90 for $22.xx, duffel in box with wheels reg 19.99 for $4.98, craft kits (cork board and something else?) reg 7.99 for $1.99, tons of water bottles 75% off, eddie bauer fanny packs with bottles attached reg $12 - 19, for $3.xx to $4.xx. Lots of newer markdowns in housewares but not yet 75% off.
