  1. Kewl! I wish I had a cell phone so you could call me when you got close, but if you have an idea when you may come through I can try to be off the computer (still on dial-up) and wait for a call at home.
  2. Kewl! Will you be coming by Gator Town on 75 this time? http://kevinswatch.ihugny.com/phpBB2/images/smiles/hijacked.gif
  3. Has anyone here ever done the samsclub.com auctions and gotten great deals? I only found out about the site this week. The auctions ending soon seem to be pretty high priced.
  4. Do you know how much of a mark down that is on the Monopoly set? Or what the original retail on it at Sam's was?
  5. This is why I pretty much only read threads on the web about Target. All the other major discounters appear to be store stock generated mark downs, not corporate dictated clearance like Target.
  6. Have you scanned the individual toys you're interested in? Please don't trust the signage and stickers on the package. Anything at Target you're interested in always double check at the price scanner.
  7. Ah...OK. I saw that the Black Friday forum was closed, and had forgotten it had been merged into the Holidays forum. I'll post any upcoming holiday clearance in the appropriate forums. :::most likely offline, as I rarely shop online:::
  8. This is the second time in a row I signed on to the forums and the Holidays forum is not listed. Have those boards been moved to another forum or deleted? I was looking forward to discussing Valentine's Day and Easter clearance over the next few months on those boards.
  9. Well phew!! I also went yesterday, and the signage said 75% off. My CVS has installed a price scanner back by the pharmacy (yay!), so I scanned the 300 count multi-colored lights. When those scanned 75% off, I figured all of the merchandise was at 75% off. And now my van is in the shop again until at least 5:00. :::sigh:::

These are the scanned prices? Here in Gator Town, most of the toys are still stickered at 30% off, but are scanning lower, with many already at 75% off. Several holiday themed dishware and Rubbermaid containers at Gator Town are still stickered and scanning 30% off. However on the AOL board some posters are saying their cashiers are manually adjusting the prices to 90% off. YMMV.
  11. I have found on the seasonal markdowns that I have to go as soon as the markdown happens. If I wait until the second day of 90% off, there's usually nothing left.

Man, I really wish there was more than one Target in my area.

    Target is 90%!

That's exactly how I feel about the tree skirts I got for $3.99.

  17. :::nodding::: I always have a receipt, but I have friends this has happened to. But then, I have been told Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and Toys-R-Us have similar policies in place.

Still a couple of items on the shelves that interest me at 90% off. If it goes 90% tomorrow, I hope they're still there.
  19. :::nodding::: I just saw the Lego Harry Potter Durmstrang ship scanning $12.48 from $49.99 retail. Although Beorn loves Harry Potter, he has never gotten into Legos. Too bad... Yesterday I checked out Target to see if the holiday cleaance had gone 90% off yet. Still holding at 75% off. While there I saw a six piece Worldbound luggage set marked 30% off for $83.xx. I scanned it and it came up item not found so I asked an associate about it. He marked it down to $41.96. The retail price was $119.99. Still not 75% off, but enough for me to purchase it. My set said Metro Traveler instead of New Metro, but otherwise the sets appear identical.

    Target 90%

None of the markdown shedules I've seen this year said yesterday was 75% off day. Every schedule I saw said either Thursday, Friday, Sunday, or Monday. I know in the past 50% lasted a week, and through the weekend after Chr-stmas for sure, so this going 75% off on Saturday really took me by surprise. I plan on going to my Target after taking Beorn to school every morning next week until it does hit 90% off.
  21. I couldn't imagine they would change it on a Sunday/holiday. But I did think they would keep the higher clearance price through the weekend. I'll admit I was taken off guard.
  22. Ah...those DVDs make terrific Halloween trick or treat giveaways. I hope some will be left by the time I get home to stock up for next year. And welcome to the forums, eagleds98!
  23. :::nodding::: Unfortunately, about 15% of Target's are doing a test of a new method of markdowns for them, so they aren't following the corporate markdown schedule. It sure is confusing for those of us who have gotten used to the corporate wide markdowns.
  24. The Goodwill here takes the donated Target items and puts them on the floor at a higher price than the final clearance price the item was at Target. Sometimes they even leave the orange Target clearance sticker on the item and still sell it at the higher price. Between that and the fact they are a for profit business and not a non-profit charity, I avoid my local Goodwill. I would much rather buy the item at Target.
  25. Thanks Ross. Looking forward to knowing.
