  1. Cool, my 12 yo will shop no where else! We will be there.
  2. 50 oz is an unusual size - you may not find it at Walmart, most stores don't carry smaller than 100 oz.
  3. Can you use the BBB coupons on the website?
  4. That is a great idea! I will definitely use that. I also put the post it flags on the ads so they are easy to find.
  5. Oh yeah, by 9 or 10 the crazys will definitely be gone. They only show up to pull each others hair over the early bird specials at 5am by 7am they have moved on. No worries you will probably have a very peaceful shopping trip.
  6. Every Monday we have Hungry Howies $4.99 for a large one topping pizza. Love their sesame crust. With a little luck we get dinner for the 3 off us and breakfast for at least one more the next morning.
  7. Yeah that happened to me too at Sears on kids clearance clothes. Since it seems to be a common problem you'd think they would address it, but until they do lucky us!
  8. Way cool. I want something like that at my work!
  9. ...and as has been mentioned in other threads, alot of the doorbuster items have a unique product code that is not on shelves any other day. What you get told ahead of time and what actually happens may differ in reality.
  10. Thanks for the input everyone. I would rather not waste the money on something she won't like so I will avoid these. Getting a PS2 is not an option, but I will check into the simulation for the PC.
  11. My 12 yo dd loves doing DDR on PS at friends homes but we don't have any gaming systems at our house and I am not going to get any just for that. So I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the difficulty of the dance mats that do not require a gaming system. I noticed a couple in the BF ads: KB Toys Dance Maker Hop Hop and Electronic Dance Mat Kohls Dance Mania Dance Pad Kohls also has a dance mat that is part of the V-tech V-smile system. Does anyone know anything about any of these? I want to make sure it is difficult enough and big enough for a pre-teen. She is only at the second level of DDR so she is not too advanced, but with access to it at home she would get better very quickly.
  12. Several of you have mentioned a 15% off coupon - where do you get those are they in the newspaper, store, mail?
  13. So why did you ask the question in the first place? From this it sounds like you were looking for affirmation/justification for what you had already decided to do.
  14. Yeah, I am so happy that Tide is on sale again. It is a great price when I have $1 coupons. I will make as many trips as I have coupons for. I also have several Revlon coupons for $2 I think. How does Walgreens handle overage on coupons?
  15. Okay, ya'll are making me feel very stingy. I have two kids and I selected 3-6, it's usually more like 6. I get them stuff all year round. And as a single mom I can't afford to over indulge. Neither kid seems to feel deprived so it works for us.
  16. Thanks for these links, I will reference these a lot for my dancer daughter 12 who just made "company" this year.
  17. Well said! I had a friend in college whose mom had taught her never to walk by a kettle without dropping something in, soooo she would cross the street, go in a "unmanned" entrance or shop somewhere else rather than drop money in. I learned from her not to give grudingly or under compulsion. Instead of giving until it hurts, I want to give until it tickles (anyone whose kids have had the Steve Green 'Hide Em in Your Heart' CD will recognize that). I personally love to drop change in the bucket every time I walk by a kettle and my kids do too. I just have to make sure I remember to have change on hand whenever I am out shopping at Christmas, I am disappointed if I don't. I didn't know you could volunteer to be a bell ringer, I am going to check that out.
  18. That is one smart Starbucks manager. I bet they make a killing in Frappacinos, Machiatos and Lattes!
  19. Askum, what part of Phoenix are you in? Are you in Phoenix proper or an outlying city? It's a pretty big place and we might be able to direct you better if you told us what part of town you are in. I am in the East Valley and would never consider going to MetroCenter or Arrowhead.
  20. It is a mail in rebate. Right under the picture of the mp3 is a button that says "rebate form" click there and you can print out the rebate and mail it in.
  21. Thanks you guys are awesome! Just what I was looking for, this will make my daughters Christmas and make my budget very happy as well.
  22. That is a great idea. There is a dinner theater just around the corner that is very popular with the snowbirds. I think I just might go this route. Magazines are a good idea too, I am not sure how much interest he would have in the DVD's though. Thanks everyone for some great suggestions, you've been a BIG help.
  23. My dad and mom are both very independant and active. They live half the year in northern Arizona mountains and then come down to Phoenix when it gets winter. They have a small 1 BR condo in Phx so not a lot of room for "stuff" besides which Dad buys whatever he wants before anyone can get it for him. My budget is $100.
