If your order was over $75, there was free shipping. If you added the stocking with your total over $75 there shouldn't have been shipping charges, my quess that hers was over that so she could take advantage without the extra shipping

why do they even allow people near the doors, it seems to me they could set-up barracaded lines like you see at amusement parks or movie theaters, you line up behind the lines and they could release people 10-20 at a time to enter the store. Ours has two main entances and they could coordinate the lines into the middle between the doors and than have security move the line in an orderly. I think when a store knows that its going to be a free for all, they should be responsible for crowd control. Large events know how to handle it, why can't stores implement the same policy. We don't get the masses like bigger areas but in talking with people this morning (late morning) they said it was quite busy.

If you have a Ross store, look there. I just found them for $7.99, ours had grey, green and blue that I noticed. It was located just as you come in on a big display full of electronic type gifts

This is exactly what happen to me last year during their friend and family, they had a promo with the F&F and with appliance being 20% off (Kenmore). We were buying for a duplex we are building so I had 2 fridge, 2 stoves and 2 dishwashers and never could get any of the discounts to work right. I finally got it to work, checkout, pd and got a cancellation the next day. I went into the store the next day and they kinda of fixed it but I still paid more than what I should of, it was very fustrating.
