  1. Santa gets cookies/milk and the reindeers get carrots and oats
  2. All of us have stockings.
  3. Our presents from each other go under the tree Thanksgiving weekend. Santa comes on Christmas Eve night and leaves a big "Santa sack" for Cailyn. Her stocking is not filled until that time either.
  4. I like to watch them if nothing else is on. However, it is a requirement to watch A Charlie Brown Christmas in my home on Christmas Eve.
  5. Walgreens
  6. Ewwwwwwwwwww! Sorry, but there is no deal great enough that I would pee my pants. I don't have any suggestions except make friends with someone in line and take turns saving spots while the other drives to an all-night convenience store.
  7. This thread shows some of the B&M Circuit City stores have had them priced lower. Can't personally verify since the nearest one to me is about an hour away. HTH! http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=17787
  8. Here's my pricematch list so far (still waiting on that darned KB Toys ad): Kmart: Pepsi products - 12 pack $2.25 Target: Memory and Chutes&Ladders game $3.88 (plus $1 off coupon from Hasbro) Friday Night Lights and Meet the Fockers DVD $5.88 Robots DVD $8.88 Green Day "American Idiot" CD $8.98
  9. Thanks for the heads-up. I hadn't even looked at the scans b/c the closest one is a good hour drive. The few things I wanted are going to be online.
  10. I don't think my husband would know what to do if he had to buy presents for his parents! I pretty much even do my shopping for MY presents ... I scout out the best deal and write a very detailed list and then put post-its on his wallet when one of the items goes on sale somewhere.
  11. My 4-yr old DD, Cailyn, usually gets her favorite candy (MM's), some glitter nail polish and lipgloss, a new box of Crayolas, Christmas activity book, stickers, tattoos, Christmas beanie baby, and a DVD. I find alot of her stickers and small items here: www.toytreasurehouse.com
  12. Our sales started this week. The cheapest I've seen so far is $0.49/lb with a $10 additional purchase at Kroger. However, they usually go cheaper this week.
  13. It's a good thing Cailyn can't read yet!
  14. Whew - couldn't have said it better myself! Last year, there weren't very many places I wanted to go (which is a good thing since I stood in line for KB Toys for nearly 1 1/2 hours). However, this year there are quite a few things that I want at stores that are very spread-out. To make matters worse, they're things that I think will be hard to grab at the last minute (i.e. Cabbage Patch newborns, DVD deals). Oh well, at least I have two more weeks to strategize!

    My thoughts exactly!
  16. How awesome!! The only thing we've had with Cailyn is she asked for a "real-live" green puppy last year. However, we found a Beanie Baby green puppy and Santa put a note in with it that he didn't want to have to dye a real dog but this one was a lot more loving.
  17. On average 5-15 minutes
  18. Too true - I'm also guilty of listening in on everyone elses's gameplans thinking either "hmm, good idea" or "yeah right, that'll never work"
  19. Thanks! Was able to get a shirt and hair clips for less than $20 shipped.
  20. They look like the same ones to me.
  21. Thanks so much!
  22. I've not ever had to do that yet.
  23. Our Wal-mart was insane last year at the self-checkouts. From what I could see, most of the people in these lanes had huge items (the trampolines, TVs, and any other oversize item you could imagine). I really hope our store enforces the rules on self-checkouts this year ... so that I can actually use them!!
