  1. No - but I generally like anything "woodsy" smelling, so I think I'll like them. Worst case, I can always take them to Cracker Barrel and exchange them for something I like instead (ours does exchanges without receipts for most general stuff)
  2. Thanks so much - got (2) of the Balsam & Cedar candles (on sale right now for $16.49; however, when I put both in my cart, it changed the price for 2 candles to $16.16 total!) Amazing deal for these - they burn longer and smell better than any of the others.
  3. Thanks - great price for Country Living.

    Are you done?

You are the first person, besides myself, that I've heard to have this on their list. My 4-yr DD was VERY adamant about the baby having no hair. Luckily, my parents went to our K-Mart the weekend before Thanksgiving and found a bald girl with a paci. Crossing my fingers you find yours!!
  5. I guess I'm the oddball, because I don't like either - reindeer have my vote!
  6. I wrap all that I have the Saturday after Thanksgiving. So, as of right now, everything's wrapped and under the tree. I'm going to Bass Pro on Saturday to buy the rest of my husband's gifts and that will have me 100% done with buying and wrapping.
  7. Thanks for the list! I didn't realize The Waltons were included; that will make my rebate $40 instead of $30. YAY!!!
  8. Only available B&M. Here's the link to their weekly ad: http://weeklyad.target.com/target/circular_browse_listing_detail.asp?storeid=2484435&pagenumber=9&rapid=203601&listingid=-2096136168& **Deal good through 12/3/05**
  9. I agree - but I really liked it; couldn't believe how long it was though.

    Are you done?

Me too! I will be 100% done this weekend - still have to buy my husband (4) shirts from Bass Pro. We're going on Saturday.
  11. Left home @ 3:45 and returned by 8:30. Hit Walmart, Shoe Carnival, Target, Walgreens and Sonic.
  12. Less than $70, but keep in mind that I was only shopping for a few stocking stuffers ... the rest was clothes and misc items that I wanted for myself!
  13. I wholeheartedly agree - I was right in between one of the pallets of Care Bears and Cabbage Patch newborns (there was another pallet of Care Bears behind me and another of the Cabbage Patch about 100 feet down). Everyone was very courteous and there were several people near the front that were still there when I left handing items towards the back to people who couldn't quite reach the pallet. However, that said, I overheard one of the women talking to a relative who had gone to our other Walmart Supercenter and apparently over there, customers started ripping into the pallets early, fights broke out, and the police were arresting people Glad to know I made the right choice for which store to go to!
  14. This was very evident in our store too. I saw so many employees going over the sales paper with customers and then radioing to the department to find out if there were any left. The lines moved pretty quickly too!
  15. By far the easiest BF I've had yet: Got to Walmart Supercenter @ 4. They started bringing pallets out @ 4:15, but had employees stationed near each one so you couldn't start ripping into them. Luckily, I picked the prime spot - directly in-between the Care Bears and Cabbage Patch. (3) Care Bears - 2 for my mom and 1 for me $5/each Cabbage Patch $10/each (2) DVDs for husband $3.88/each Then, drove by Target @ 5:45, but since it's the newest attraction in our city, there was a line wrapped AROUND the building, so I called mom and told her to meet me @ Shoe Carnival instead. Got to Shoe Carnival and was able to get the $10 gift card, so I got a pair of slides for $8. Went back to Target where the line had already improved. Got right inside and got everything I wanted except the Friday Night Lights DVD (however, employee told me they may get another shipment in tomorrow). (2) Circo jeans for daughter $6.99/each Circo turtleneck for daughter $2.99 (2) Cherokee v-neck shirts for me $6.88/each Chutes & Ladders game $3.88 Toastmaster slow cooker $4.14 After my gift card (won through local radio station), I only had to pay about $9 Got to Walgreens @ 7:25 - they still had a good selection of everything (2) VHS tapes B1G1 @ $3.99 Planters dry roasted peanuts $0.99 (2) Hershey's dark chocolate giant candy bars $0.50/each (2) 5-pk white shirt boxes B1G1 @ $2.79 (3) Children's computer games (got 2 Muppets and a Garfield) $1/each Stopped by Sonic for breakfast and then went home to crash. Slept from 9-12. Then, got up and went back out @ 1 to a local hunting store where I scored (3) Team Realtree sweatshirts for $5/each. My husband is gonna love me for that one alone!
  16. I most definitely will be up all night! My husband is deer hunting and my daughter is staying with in-laws, so I plan on catching up tomorrow afternoon.
  17. I have got everyone's presents with the exception of: My husband's about 60% done - the rest of his will be bought next weekend when we go to Bass Pro in Branson My brother - I'm getting a $20 Visa card to finish up his other presents that I've already bought As for wrapping, I do it all on BF.
  18. Hmm, 4:00 Central time right now, so I'll probably be trying to keep my daughter out of all the newly wrapped presents and saying "no, that one's not yours" about 100 times.
  19. ABC Family starts their 25 days of Christmas on December 1st (I think they bought out Fox). The only way I knew about it was from one of my magazines. I think they'll release their schedule after Thanksgiving (they usually do). You can find it here when the time comes. http://tvlistings1.zap2it.com/one/grid.asp?one_partner_id=ABC
  20. I'm so jealous! I bet the kids and "grown-up kids" are having a blast with this. Nothing better than shopping in the heated building with snow falling all around.

    Holiday Bonus

We get a week's pay and a smoked ham and turkey usually. The best year was when business was booming: we got a week's pay, a $100 gc to Dillards, 2 movie passes, the ham and turkey, and a $25 gc to Hastings.
  22. We usually stop @ Sonic to get their toaster sandwiches before heading home. Yummmmmmm!
  23. We have Christmas Eve at two places: my husband's family @ noon and my mother's side of the family @ 4pm. Christmas Day, we only have to go to my dad's side of the family @ noon
  24. For the classic commercial - it's the Coca-Cola bears This year - I love K-mart's "time for a prelit tree?" commercial. It starts out with the cutest dog sitting beside a strand of lights. Then, it pans over to a guy wrestling with a huge tangled ball of lights. He finally gives up and just chunks it at the tree. My husband thinks I'm because I laugh every time!
