  1. never knew this existed before! so thanks! i just signed up! :) now i'm ready for those last minute deals!
  2. gotta agree with this post! we just ordered our 47" led hdtv lg brand from amazon and it'll be delivered this week (or next - need to check that, lol") and it was cheaper/equal to the black friday sales - and w/ free shipping and no local tax, yeah, win! :) and not having to stand in line all night, then figure out how to get the silly thing in my vehicle, even better! :) i've been buying tons of stuff from amazon since i had first living kid - i can count on one hand the number of problem items we've purchased - and some were our fault! never a hassle at all to return/exchange/change to different product. very easy to deal with.
  3. some things you can put in your cart early. just depends on the item and if it's easy to access. if it's covered in black plastic and sealed up, i don't mess with it. some of the houseware stuff isn't sealed up. just depends. i must admit, i prefer doing black friday waiting inside vs outside. i stay much warmer and drier at walmart. :) this year, i'm seriously considering seeing if i can do most of the doorbuster stuff online just for a change of pace. esp if it can be purchased early thursday morning vs waiting til thursd night. (meal to cook, friends to visit, etc. *grin*)
  4. oh yeah, i almost forgot - i do remember my husband mentioning this past week that the wii is on its last year - there's some new wii system coming out/came out? that will be the next great thing. so that is something to consider - as probably going to be less new 'good' games coming out for wii after this year.
  5. i'd say get more games and stuff for the wii. because you'll get more 'to do' with the wii, vs buying a whole new system - that you then need to buy games for. but i'm not a gamer. we do have a wii, and my husband loves his computer games and his 3ds. . .the wii is really family friendly - even i, not a gamer, enjoy some of the games on the wii. what are teh reviews like on the dance games? i've been intrigued about them myself, lol.
  6. water bottle calculator wallet car magnet fridge magnet gottadeal logo'd shopping list tear off sheet/magnet on back calendar
  7. glad i'm not the only one wondering what's being offered at meijer. i went ahead and updated my profile there so i'd get any emails - apparently they've added some options on email settings since last time i accessed that.
  8. was in my wm today and asked about sat sale and the employee said they're having one every sat until black friday - but he looked and couldn't find a flyer for it, nor anyone who knew what the sale items were. he said last week they didn't even start stocking the items on the floor til after midnight friday night. sale apparently started last saturday around 10am. so i know i'll be doing a pop in tomorrow sometime to check and see what's new. i'm looking for a led hdtv 47-55 - preferably an lg or something reliable for cheap. real cheap.
  9. interested in the answer to this, as well, because i want that lg tv that's online only. we've been waiting for a tv and that one looks like it'll make us very happy. :) and it's lg - we like lg brand. :)
  10. i am part of ohio library system - so borrow from my county library online system AND from the ohio seo consortium - 10 books each. so 20 books total. some days, i can read 5-7 books. other days 'only' one or two. not counting all the school related books - i'm a homeschooling mom, too. *grin* my ereader is for me to read anything from a biography to a trashy romance. love it! cannot imagine life w/o it now. but that kindle fire with teh options it offers, rather intriguing to me. esp now that my library has kindle books to lend. you pulled me out of lurking! lol. i've posted more in the last week than i have in the last 6 years. *grin* and yes, kobo touch is e-ink. so you need a light if you're in a dark room, but you can read it perfectly in any light - from dim room to bright sunlight. (i read by moon glow often, lol.)
  11. weird! i have one! it uses epub, pdf (same as nook) i get 20 books at a time from local library free. (just return them when done and get up to 20 more - it's awesome!) have well over 1K books in my personal 'collection'. all were free from all the various free sites, kobo sites,, gutenburg, etc. we were divided between nook and kobo this past spring/summer - ended up kobo touch because of customer service - which is STELLAR! nook still hasn't fixed their page refresh thing for one thing. originally didn't want kindle 'cause of hte lack of (FREE - library loan) books available, d/t the special formatting, but now that they've started giving this to libraries (i'm sure they charge a fee, lol) i'm intrigued in a kindle for a second device - esp that color one. i LOVE my eink though - it's PERFECT for summertime - i can read anywhere my kids are. i pull it out all the time at drive thru for bank whilst waiting for my turn. just been reading along. going back to lurking. :)
  12. been reading this thread and i've been surprised no one mentioned the kobo touch. it's not a tablet though - it's 'just' an ereader and does that job quite well. been intriguing reading about the kindle fire. makes me want to look into a second ereader for the tablet features.
  13. just called my local walmart - newark ohio and they said they will price match IF same item in ad & they will CALL THE STORE OF THE SALE and confirm the item is ON THEIR SHELF at the time of the call . .. because some items are limited quantity. . . yeah that'll go over well.
  14. I was 8 months pregnant with baby #2 in 2005 and we camped out there all night in mansfield ohio my husband and toddler son (1 yr old at the time) stayed in teh car with heat on and I stayed out in cold (coldest night of the year!!) - when i got too cold, my husband would switch with me. i'm typing on the computer i bought that day. (the $150 computer deal.) I want a laptop now. :) and a pda if they offer a good one. so you CAN do it with children just plan accordingly to waste a tank of gas keeping the fmaily warm. . .. we arrived at that bestbuy around 9pm that night and there were already a few folks in line. this year when i do it, i'm thinking seriously about bringing my tent as i now have 2 young children and this way they can lay down and sleep easier. . .. bettyann
