The target in my area, DID NOt do it Jan 1st, last year. It has every other year, and it didn't for 5 more days. Yes, it severly ticked me off, after I drove for 1 hour to get there. Call ahead.

If I could avoid dhl all the time, I most cetainly would. I would get ahold of kb again, and tell them what dhl is doing. If they loose customers over a carrier, they may want to change carriers!!

I hate DHL. It may be that is the problem. Depending on where you live. Dhl will take 3 days longer than expencted in my state-Ut. It will show "out for delivery" for 3 days. Bad , bad company here in myneighborhood.

I have my older kids convinced that there is a room in their Grandmas basement, that they have never seen. my older ones are 17 & 15 and this has worked for 13 years. I will make a comment about "having to run up there", and they fall for it! Actually there could actually be a room in her basement that none of us have ever seen. Anyway, that takes the pressure off of my house and my little ones haven't snooped yet!! I also will wrap things that I don't want to "hide" and put them under the tree with their Dads name on the tag. They don't seem interested in what he is getting!!!

I am finished EXCEPT for the last minute touches. To me, that is the fun. If my hubby get a bonus, we always go out last minute and shop for fun. I love the last minutes things. The feelings that inspire the extras to me are the best!!!

I bought my 17 DD one a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving and I am soo very jealous that I have put one on my list of things to buy for me!! I didn't want to chance it on BF for hers. Well I ordered 1 immediately after reading the post, and now it isn't showing that I ordered one. Of course I was in a hurry and forgot to write done my confirmation number. Yes, I am a little ticked.

If my kids don't "need" any clothes, I try to wait until January. Personally, I do a lot better then. If my kids need or want something, my favorite time is the week before, and I hit the mall, when everybody is having sales. Dillards is where I do the most damage.

Anyway, just an idea I plan on using, gift certificates to your local theatere. Ours has 2 for $20 that has 2 admissions, popcorn, candy, and 2 drinks.

I don't really like dealing with rude people on Bf , so I tend to not want to share this with them. I consider this place "my edge". While we all here are for the best, most accurate info on the best deals, and are discussing "improvements" for next year, who do want to have the advantage of info like we get here?

I think Bf is like everything else, a few bad apples..... I personally will force myself to order more online, thanks to all the helpfull info here. So many of the things I wanted became available online. I only have Walmart within a 60 mile location. SOO many people are there. My new problem solver this year was "no cart". I was able to manuver in and out of gridlock aisles to get to where I wanted, and everyone else was stuck. I checked out 3 times, and came back in for the rest of what I wanted, and got everything on my list!! Yes, I will be out again next year, as I have for many years. Even if I don't need to buy anything, I find something to buy.

our town asks for them to be up yesterday.

Our wal-mart is a 24 hr, and most anticipated items were in the back in electronics. They tried to "make" lines, but 300-400 people with carts snaking around isn't the answer either. Especially when there truly isn't enough room for 2 carts to even pass.A lot of people leave their cart to get to an item, other people are rummaging through the left cart considering it "fair game". I personally think single file lines maybe out front in the parking lot in front of a pallet of merchandise that is handed out my employees might work here. They could rope it off and supervise it to make the exit of the line take you right inside the store.
