Received my t-shirt today. It will actually go to my sister, as I bought myself a hoodie. We'll be stylin' come Thursday and Friday!

I don't think Flosmoney intended to be offensive. I think the point she was trying to make was this: Whether or not there are "great deals" on Black Friday may depend on your circumstances and where you are in life. I know that when my kids were young, I counted on BF deals to get them the Christmas I thought they would want and deserved. The toy/game deals were (and still are, probably) "great". Now that they are grown, I don't find much for them on Black Friday and much of what I buy is household items. It's a week before BF, and I am practically done with my Christmas shopping. I still love the hunt though.

I'm wishing for that ad as well. I'm hoping they have the same tree (or comparable) they had for $79 last year.

After I emailed them, they emailed me back within a couple hours with both codes.

I ordered from CDKeys, and I think I screwed up. I ordered 2 (one for my son and one for my nephew), but I only got one code. I've emailed them, so hopefully they can fix it for me.

I don't know about tickets in store because I've never been to Kohl's on BF either. However, I can tell you that I bought a lot of stuff from them online last year. I can't remember wanting anything in their ad that wasn't available online.

Has anyone here ever been to Cabela's on BF? We just got a Cabela's in our city this year and my son is wondering how they do those prizes for the first 600 people. We're wondering if it's a random scratch card type thing. He says he's not getting up there super early for a $5 gift card, lol.

You didn't miss them . Unless they're hiding something (and hiding it well!), they're not having the multiple sales this year.

Walmart will not match the gift card, unfortunately. I would agree with you that there probably won't be many people in a mad rush to upgrade their phones. I've never done it on BF though. One of the ads said they would make appointments to upgrade. I can't remember right now if that was Walmart or not.

Finished my shopping on my lunch break. I'll try to get everything wrapped up tonight and in the mail tomorrow. EEEEK, I'm so excited! Is it bad that I put more thought into these exchanges than I do my family gifts?

I keep everything saved electronically as well. I have my Christmas lists back to 2003. I love being able to look back and see what I got the kids (and what I spent) as they got older and older. I used to email it back and forth from my home computer to my work computer, so if something happened to one I always had it backed up on another. Now, I keep it in Dropbox so it's on their server and I can access it anywhere.

I guess if I had looked at the ad, I would have known what you were trying to say. Sorry about that. It does look like it may have been a misprint. The fine print says 4:00, and I don't see anything about staggering the sales.

I think I might be reading this wrong. To me, you're saying the same thing twice - the sales starts at 2:00 Thursday.

I know Sony, and I trust them, so I would probably lean that way...but the Panasonic blue-ray player is $10 cheaper. Can you tell me why you would choose the Sony over the Panasonic?

I don't think you are being unreasonable. I have never had to balance a blended family like that, so my opinion may not count, but it seems to me you have put a lot of thought in to it and you are doing the best you can. As far as how many gifts is reasonable, well, that depends on what you have to spend. Maybe you could make sure they all open the same amount of gifts when you have Christmas together, and give your younger 2 their extras when it's just y'all (while the other kids are with their other families). I don't know that you don't already do it that way, but it's a thought. I think I would have to tell them they are grown men and they should really start acting like it.

Ah, thank you. I conveniently skipped the MIR part. LOL. Walmart it is for those little babies.

We don't go to Penney's on BF, but I will definitely be trying to grab a few of these things online. I wish I could remember how fast they shipped last year. I need some of those 1.5 qt slow cookers for making Christmas candy. I planned to try to get them at Walmart, but I'd rather buy them online and not have to worry about it.
