Today is my last work day this week, and I don't often get on the computer at home, so I wanted to take this time to wish you all HAPPY HOLIDAYS! I hang around Gottadeal all year, but don't post much, and I get really excited when my "GD Friends" start trickling in around Sept/Oct. SO, since I probably won't talk to you all again for a while, I hope you all have a Very Merry CHRISTMAS, A Happy and safe NEW YEAR, A love filled VALENTINE'S DAY, A fun and painless ST. PATRICK'S DAY, A blessed EASTER, A reflective MEMORIAL DAY, An exciting 4TH OF JULY, A relaxing LABOR DAY, and A scary & safe HALLOWEEN! I don't think so. Unless we forgot something for dinner. A couple years ago my dil forgot the baby's milk. We were at my mom's which is 30 minutes from home in good weather, but that year was definitely NOT good weather (lots of ice and snow, we didn't think we were even going to get to go to Mom's). Anyway, I was SO glad to find a CVS open so I could buy formula. But that's the only kind of "shopping" I would want to be doing on Christmas day.

I had to laugh at myself this morning. After being off work yesterday, I came in to a package today and I didn't recognize the return name/address. Of course, I thought "OOOOOH, SS or OE!" and got excited to open it! Imagine my disappointment when tearing into the package and finding...vacuum cleaner belts . I forgot I had ordered them from eBay. LOL

I'm hoping for the same! I've received my shipping confirmation, but not my gift card code. Anyway - I ordered the 1tb Xbox One Fallout 4 bundle from Microsoft for $349 with a $60 gift card. Got to choose a free game, so went with Assassin's Creed Unity. I had planned on trying to get Target's deal, but for an extra $50 I got twice the memory and 2 (or 3, I think, because the Fallout 3 is already downloaded) extra games. I plan to buy the COD Black Ops III game with the gift card. But in case I don't get it in time, I bought him the Xbox 360 version for $29.99 (also from Microsoft).

I got everything done yesterday, except the train under the tree. At that point, if I had gotten down in the floor I probably wouldn't have gotten back up .

Well, it rained non-stop. My feet may never dry completely LOL. But, we had so much fun regardless! And, thankfully, the freezing temps held off until late this afternoon. I would NOT want to be out there tonight!

If it helps, the "ads" don't pop up once you open the Kindle. They are just on the lock screen when you turn it on.

We're supposed to have thunderstorms Thursday. Then a 2nd storm is supposed to come through Friday with possible freezing rain or sleet. The ground is still warm, so they don't expect any major traffic problems due to it (We Okies don't know how to drive in snow & ice), but it could make for some miserable shopping weather. But, hey, it could be worse! We stood outside Toys R Us in the sleet for a couple hours one year.

They will not have to go into the sponsored ad at all. To be honest, I rarely even notice what the ad is for because I automatically swipe left to open the Kindle (granted, I'm not 5, but I don't think it would be a big deal for them either). If you think about the ads as just the wallpaper on the lock screen, it's less intimidating. I wouldn't let it worry you.

You will be able to place parental controls on the device so that they won't be able to make any purchases without a password. Hope that helps!
