I knew I was going to wish I had waited, when I bought the echo on QVC for $75 a few weeks back.

I just want to let you know, I am receiving your PMs. I have a new grand baby coming tomorrow, so things are a little hectic at the moment. It'll probably be the end of the week when I start pulling the PMs and updating the list with who's in.

Do you have a price limit? And, do you play for gag gifts or real gifts? We do dirty Santa, but the "dirty" part is in the taking stuff away from each other. It's fun to try to find the perfect gift, that people are going to fight over.

If you want to join in on the fun, sign ups will be accepted via PM only (to me, BoPeep) in order to keep everything more organized. Use "Secret Santa 2017" in the subject line. This is not an official GottaDeal.com event, so participate at your own risk. GottaDeal can't be held responsible if you do not receive anything. While I hope we won't be needing any please let me know if you are willing to be an elf in case someone does not receive their SS/OE package. Please include in your PM: 1. Anything else? The Rules (please read before signing up): 1. Secret Santa is just like it sounds - a secret exchange of gifts! There's a MINIMUM of $10 before shipping. If you choose to spend more, please don't be disappointed if your partner doesn't. 2. Ornament Exchange is also just like it sounds - an exchange of ornaments! There's a MINIMUM of $5 before shipping. If you choose to spend more, please don't be disappointed if your partner doesn't. 3. Card Exchange is also as it sounds - an exchange of holiday greeting cards. Unlike the other two, however, you send (a card) to everyone who signs up and you get (a card) from everyone who signs up! If you have a favorite holiday recipe feel free to include it with the cards you send out. There is no minimum or delivery confirmation but please understand that you send a card to everyone on the list so if 50 people join the exchange you will be spending $24.50 for postage. (The current cost for a first class stamp as of the time of this posting is 49 cents). 4. Tracking (aka delivery confirmation) is a MUST. Please PM me the tracking number and how it is being shipped (USPS or UPS) so I can keep track of everything. If you send via USPS Priority it should be included at no charge, but it is always best to check for yourself. 5. Insurance from the USPS is also a MUST. Check with the post office nearest you for the cost. 6. Make sure your item(s) is/are properly packed and with plenty of padding. 7. No junk. Everything must be new/unused within reason. Used books, CDs, and DVDs are okay as long as they are in a like new condition that you would be okay with receiving. 8. The last day to sign up is Tuesday, October 31st (you have until midnight CT). I should have names out by Saturday, November 4. 9. The last day to ship is Saturday, December 9th. If for some reason you cannot ship by this date you must let me know ASAP and then ship priority. 10. If you are participating in the Card Exchange please feel free to mail them any time but make sure to keep holiday mail delivery times in mind. 11. You must be a member with some posting activity, in order to participate. This helps to make sure that only dedicated GottaDealers are participating and we have less of a chance of people flaking out. 12. Any decisions made by the exchange host are final. Each case or question will be given fair treatment and consideration; if you plead a case or ask a question and don't get a reply you like please don't complain. One last note: Please be patient if I can't get things done right away, but be assured I'm keeping track of everything. If you have any questions at all, please ask me. Well, to be fair, there are a lot more ways to decorate for Christmas so it takes more shelf space. Yes, I'm making excuses . Seriously, though, I just don't have a problem with them putting the Christmas stuff out early. I always say I can enjoy Halloween and Thanksgiving, all while enjoying Christmas .

I think this happens a lot. Kohl's is bad, and Gordman's was too, about advertising something as "Reg. Price $89.99, OUR price $29.99, Sales Price $24.99" (to use your #s for the example). Then I have to wonder, is the regular price really $89.99?? Amazon prices are the same way. They count on the fact that most of us won't do the research to prove or disprove their claims.

Thank you for the list of new movies. I've been meaning to look for it, and haven't had the chance.

PogiPorkChop hasn't checked in, and it doesn't look like she's been active since last November. I sure hope she is doing ok. If we don't hear anything from her by this Friday, I'll get the SS exchanges started. Then I can continue to manage it or she can take the reins whenever she's ready.

I shop for 23, including our extended family Dirty Santa game and Gottadeal's Secret Santa. That's actual, bought, wrapped gifts. We make cookie and goodie platters for several more.

I admit, I start early. Usually, I start in July when the Christmas in July sales get me in the mood. I don't listen A LOT in July, but it increases a little in August. Then once we get to the "ber" months, it's on . The 3-4 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas just aren't nearly enough!

The first contest, I'm so excited!! I'm going with Harbor Freight, October 11.

I've gotten quite a bit. I'm just about done with all 4 grands. Might need a few more little things for the youngest 2, but they're easy. About halfway done with the extended family. My DIL is always easiest, and I've gotten her big gifts. My sons are always the hardest, but I'm chiseling away at them.

Thanks for checking in! I always enjoy the webcasts, and look forward to them again this year. We missed you last year, but we understand life gets in the way sometimes and you had a lot going on. Shout out to JayMacFla for stepping in and helping out.

The ones I saw were $26. $15 isn't too bad.
