  1. I think I'll keep my eyes open for that, and throw in some extra RAM. I probably have some spare sitting around already.
  2. Is it possible to use any DVD drive to upgrade it to a "Super Drive?" I would want the DVD writing capability, because my wife would be using it for media and marketing materials when she does projects from home. Usually, I wouldn't buy work related items for home, but if she can do more work from home and be with the baby, I would think it would be worth it.
  3. Is the Combo Drive the CDRW/DVD-rom drive? Also, the $699 version doesn't list the video card. Is that still the Radeon 9200?
  4. Hmmm...looks like the 12% comes off of the total after the $750 off coupon, which puts it at $832. Thoughts?
  5. My employer is offering 6 or 12 months payroll deduction at no interest, so I'm seriously considering.
  6. How does this look: Inspiron 700m XP Home Pentium-M 1.6GHz 256MB Ram 40GB HDD CDRW/DVD Drive Addition 8-Cell battery 3Yr Ltd Warr,At-Home Service,and Tech Support plus Nights and Weekends $1607 -$192.84 Dell EPP Discount -$750 ----------- $664.16 (+tax)
  7. If your company has a Dell EPP plan, you can use this coupon for $750 off the notebooks, plus you will get your company discount on top of that. Usually that's around 12% for a small to medium sized business.
  8. Who's the screwball working for Target, anyway? Same type of deal as yesterday with the V700.
  9. Actually, the reviews on the Samsun were very mixed. He liked the size and features, but not the pictures that it took. Seeing as the picture quality is the entire reason for the camera, that's not a good thing. The Canon sensor is much higher quality, and it will end up lasting for a much longer amount of time. The cheaper sensors lose the cripsness on the edges of pictures after a year or two. Canon will take just as good of a picture new as it will 5 years from now, if it's taken care of (and sometimes not). My old S110 Elph still takes great pictures, so I keep it around as a pocket sized camera.
  10. I guess it may depend on where you live. It shows at $7 shipped UPS Ground, for me. I added a 25' network cable, and it stayed at $7.
  11. Hmmm...my entertainment book didn't have any Subway coupons. Another thing to consider is that Subway honors Cousin's subs (and some other competitor's) coupons, so you can look for those and use them at Subway.
  12. Nevermind, it seems to be ok, now Is anyone else seeing this on the main site? I cleared my cache and history, and it is still showing this way. I'm using Firefox 1.05. http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/mogulmonster/gls.jpg
  13. SV3941 = $25 off $250
  14. SV5224 = $10 off $100 That's the best I can do, for now. I'll see if I have a catalog someone with a 1 time use.
  15. I can't seem to find any printable one's that are still valid. I'll check my paper from yesterday, and see if I can find anything.
  16. These usually have some good flash memory deals on 1-2GB cards. I'll be taking a look.
  17. That makes sense. I'm on the site enough that it doesn't really matter. I was kind of wanting the RSS feed, so I could put it on my Axim and have it handy for the B&M deals. No need to make copying all you work easier for the competition, that's for sure.
  18. One thing I assume you'll include, but I want to make sure is that we can customize the stores we want to see. For instance, I would really want to see Fry's or Costco, because there are none in the area, so I would not show those. An RSS feed would also be nice, so I can cruise through the stuff quickly while at work. As for the posting, I'm not really sure. If the deals are the only reason they are here, maybe just leave well enough alone and be happy with the commissions from their purchases. It would be nice to have a more active year-round community, but some are only interested in finding the best deals for that time of the year. I guess you could offer an incentive, like the current charity one. It may draw in some more people to start posting.
  19. The sale starts on the Sunday, July 17th. Upgrades: Memory - Don't do it. You can get a 512MB stick for <$50. Double hard drive - maybe worth it for convenience, but for $30 more than a 40GB, you are looking at the 160GB range if you were to upgrade it seperately. Printer - Don't know, it depends on the printer they are bundling. CD Burner - Not a bad deal. I definitely wouldn't buy a computer without at least a CD burner, but you can get a CDRW / DVD-rom combo drive for ~$30 - $40 or a DVD-R drive in the ~$40 range.
  20. Same here. I gave 1 of my 512mb cards to my Uncle, so he could use it in his camera while he's in Iraq, so I'm basically down to the card that has my GPS software and Age of Empires on it. Yeah, I'm just thinking as I type, sorry. Hmmm...so tempting.

  22. Nice, thanks. That's a lot cheaper than a data cable for my V710.
  23. Neither of those printers have network connectivity. If you want them to be on the network, you would have to connect it to a PC or server via USB, and then share the printer. Your other option would be to purchase a USB Print Server. You connect the print server to your USB port on your printer, and then plug the print server into the network.
  24. It's not too bad. I've gotten better deals, though, when Dell does their big Dell Outlet sales. There could be one coming up the end of this month, to boost their 2nd Quarter numbers.
  25. I just happened to think that the Canon Pixma iP5000 would be a great printer. It's $163 shipped from newegg.com right now. I have this one at home, and it is incredible. It's technically a photo printer (which it blows HP photo printers out of the water), but it prints documents and brochures well. My wife does publication designs for her company and the printing it does is more than adequate for their proofs and brochures. It also has a duplexer built into it, so it makes brochure printing simple. The ink is cheap, too, especially when you buy the bulk packs from places like 123inkjets.com.
