  1. Big Campaigns on the radio here but Michigan is pretty much a union state and I figure the ads are being paid for by the union(s)
  2. Kohls has given out $10 giftcard for later in the weekend when you spend $50 for early shoppers. After noon, it usually goes to $10 off when you buy $75 That's what I remember the last couple years at Kohls
  3. Night Before Christmas - definitely
  4. The only comment I have to say I'm so glad that I don't work retail anymore. THANK YOU!
  5. Target is always one of my stops on BF - I want to send SIL there but am waiting for an ad
  6. about 7 when I caught my parents putting toys out
  7. We have so many ornaments, we could realistically put up 2 trees. DH has all the stupid Star Trek ornaments from Hallmark since they came out and that is becoming quite the collection and somehow the tree doesn't look like Christmas any more. Grandparents have bought ornaments every year for each child and that became burdensome too. I need to separate them so they can have them when they move out
  8. With the price match policy changing, I would not stand in those long lines at TRU
  9. I would definitely be surprised if they varied too much from region to region
  10. Thank you - the Best Buy Bucks are still valid right?
  11. There's been a lot of press about how people are debt heavy and have been spending their spendable cash in energy costs and the retailers are afraid there won't be as big of a Christmas cash deal this year. That's why the sales are already starting. Why the BF sales aren't there yet has been going that way more and more for the last couple years. We'll see how fast the retailers slash and cut their prices in December this year. I'm curious if people will spend less or more this year.

  13. Paper bought on clearance from the year before. CVS has this stuff go 90% off and I scoop up tons of it along with Target bows that I bought 4 years ago at .09 a bag and still have used up!
  14. Penneys sales on the first Friday in November is usually the best all the way around. BF will have some good deals but I find the sale that they just had is usually their best. Macy's (Which has now swallowed up Marshall Fields a/k/a Hudsons) will be a new one for me
  15. Thanks again - I've got my SIL on the look out for the Wallflowers!
  16. Still not working for me - I left the site and came back in
  17. I get the old server for both also?
  18. "I, for one, don't buy gifts on BF. I look for the items that I can get and then resell for profit. Anyone else do this or anything similar?" Isn't living in the U S of A grand! I would never buy anything from you as I love the thrill of the hunt too much myself and my money means way too much to me to buy from people like you :-)
  19. SIL always does this as she lives 3-4 hours from any malls. She loves it.
  20. The first one I can remember and it probably is farther back than this is when my 17 year old was 2 months old. We went out for See n' Says. Hey - the were under $5 and I remember I bought 3 of them for him and his cousins
  21. Meijer is open 24 hours and tons of people put the stuff in their carts and drive around until the BF sale starts and head for the cashier
