  1. Nice, I'm stopping by on my way home from work to investigate further. I actually want 2 22" LCDs, one for the bedroom TV, the other for my PC monitor. I can ge one now, and try to get another on BF since I'll be waiting in line anyways.
  2. So why can't I buy the monitor today and pricematch Friday afternoon or Saturday? I think I'm going to do this with the 22" westinghouse and those Klipsch surround sound speakers.
  3. To MCE or not to MCE, that is my question. Either I get an XP home eMachines for $190, or I get one of the many ~$400 XP MCE desktops that will upgrade to Vista Home Premium instead of basic. Anyone else torn between the two? One minute I think I should spring for the extra $$$, the next I think it's not worth twice the price.
  4. BB employees go through our line with credit applications at the same time they hand out tickets for doorbusters.
  5. I read them as well, and I think I'm still getting the comforter. It looks like a nice heavy fabric, and the colors being a little more faded doesn't bother me. I'm undecided, but if I get anything out of the list, that'll be it.
  6. That ad just came out a couple days ago, so it's not on the chart. Their $300 eMachines looks promising though, since it comes with WinXP MCE.
  7. So it looks like CompUSA isn't going to have the midnight shopping like they did last year? I liked that because I was able to wait in line there and then go to Best Buy afterwards.
  8. Weather.com says for the Twin Cities, it'll be hi - 39 lo - 24
  9. I'm most likely going to best buy for my first stop (aka wait in line) and I'm torn between the $190 eMachines PC and the $400 Compaq. The fact that the Compaq has XP Media Center (free upgrade to Vista home premium) is alone almost worth getting it. But it also has the exta 512mb memory, much larger, SATA hard drive, memory card reader integrated, etc, etc, really makes me want to buy that one. But then I think that I could literally get 2 eMachines desktops for the same price. What's everyone else looking to get?
  10. The Kodak with 10x optical zoom and the same resolution sounds like a better deal for $190, it's at best buy.
  11. I made a quick xls file that you can print off with the comparison. I didn't include stationcheifs pictures because of file size. It's a 2 page tabloid document that makes it really easy to see if printed. I work for a print controller company so I print everything, lol I even have the ads printed out, mostly in booklet form even.
  12. He's already made the chart, you can find it here: http://www.geocities.com/frabehri/BF2006/DesktopComparisonChart.htm
  13. Well, if they don't match the price, you can just return it and re-buy it for the lower price. If the customer service desk is open, they can't really stop you. The deal is valid until saturday, so I'm about 99% sure I'm going to do it.
  14. I've noticed two of the things I'm most excited for at best buy are available Fri and Sat in the ad. Specifically, the 22" Westinghouse LCD monitor and the Klipsch Quintet III surround system. Both are $500 regularly, and they're $200 and $250 respectively for those two days. I went to my local BB and see that they have both sitting out for sale, and they're the same model number. Since they only close down the customer service counter for Fri morning, couldn't I buy them both now and gee them both pricematched Fri afternoon or any time on Sat? I see no reason not, just thought I'd ask everyones opinion before doing so.
  15. Does anyone have a brand, model, picture of this thing? I think I'm gonna swing by Aldi's on my lunch break. My little sister wanted one of these for xmas, so this si perfect. Now I need to find a deal on an FM transmitter for Ipods.
  16. I can only hope that there's more people like you out there so I can easily get one of these. You know nothing about Westinghouse as a brand, you're just assuming it's not good. There's really no need for this thread because the 22" Westinghouse is the best deal by far.
  17. Been waiting for a deal on a USB wifi card. Just ordered it, thanks for the heads up!
  18. What states don't have Target's? As long as there's a Target store in your state, you pay tax. The $540 TV also has no HD tuner. I also prefer Westinghouse as a brand. It is quite a good deal actually. The $540 deal is also a steal, but not quite as good obviously.
  19. Most stores won't let the employees buy doorbusters. I've seen posts of BB employees waiting in line with the rest of us common folk.
  20. You know deep down they won't offer it online. The items were designed to get people into the store, I don't think they'd offer them online for that reason alone.
  21. I'm definetly picking that up to use as a TV in my bedroom. Can't beat that deal with a stick. I'll probably be picking up the Emachines PC as well, not a bad little puter for the price. I'll use the 15" lcd for a computer in my garage and hook this one up to my 19" lcd with a separate ATI all in wonder 9600 I already have. Should be a pretty smokin system once I add more memory and a couple extra hard drives.
  22. It's the American way, you'd think people would be used to it now.
  23. make sure the battery is connected properly if that light is the power light. If you have another laptop, you can swap hard drives to get your files out, if not you can take out the harddrive and use a 2.5"-to-3.5" hard drive IDE cable converter and hook up your laptop hard drive to your regular desktop to back up the files. Hope you get it all sorted out.
  24. Ross, you SOB, they honored the 10% coupon for you? I had to pay $899 for mine, but ti's still worth it.
