  1. Last year we got the barbies jeep power wheels on line on cyber monday the 2-seater for 165.00 at amazon.com this included shipping, it was a steal. I can't believe they are opening at 9pm so early. Now people will be eating their turkeys at 11 am so they can get in line. Dont know if I'm going to be doing that.

    Xmas spirit is hard

thanks for the good ideas guys. Its not like I've never been in this mess before, but its been awhile since I had to struggle so hard, but i'm going to keep my chin up and hope for a part-time job for the holidays to make ends meet. I myself don't need anytihng for xmas, it was just the kids I was worried about. But were going to explain it to them tonight and hopefully they will understand. I am thankful for what I have. Last year at xmas we lost my FIL and it was very hard to deal with. So far todaymy t-day dinner will be a lil easier, instead of buying everything myself I have delegated dishes out to our guests so you could say were doing "pot luck". ha ha thanks again for cheering me up. CC
  3. Hi everyone, sorry having a bad year and had to cut my budget into like what seems nothing and its so depressing. Income stinks right now and there has been no major good jobs out there, are others finding it hard to get in the xmas mood due to finances? I just don't even want xmas to come. This will be the first bf I will not be able to shop, its sad. I hope the rest of you enjoy your day I will surely miss it. CC
  4. One of the reasons they cost so much is because if the purse rips or the sewing comes paprt you can take it back to the outlet or the coach store and they will send it out for repair, if coach can't repair it to their standards they will send you a certificate for the cost of the purse. I bought mine on clearance at coach outlet store and I got more money in the certificate, the reason I returned it was cuase my dog chewed the handle so the stitching was coming out. I made out on that deal and got a new purse oh yeah a good deal.
  5. If your pregnant and can't go send your BF or your hubby. Last year my daughter and I went, she was 6 mos along and her hubby had to work at 7:00 a.m; well we were almost done so he dropped off her daughter 2 yrs to us and she slept through the whole mall experience, it was her first BF and she mised it ha ha. start em early. Of course my hubby won't wait in line all night, but he'll get up by 4:00 am to be somewhere so I send for other things that aren't so popular and I send the kids they are old enough to drive, then we all go home and nap later and then sometimes after dinner we go back.
  6. At our walmart you need a bat so no one runs you over, forget the cart!
  7. Usually in the past, people that we have spent the night with in line will keep your spot so you can throw your stuff in the car quickly about 20 mins before store opens. I don't know about other states, but were pretty easy going here in FL and we've only had a few to try and cut in but they got busted anyway and thrown out by the cops. My motto: if you ain't been here all night, well then just go home.
  8. WOW great idea, never though of that. Last year my daughter and i grabbed all the wipes at TRU and made out like bandits.
  9. This year it won't be worth camping out at BB since CC closed, if I need any electronics I will buy before or order on-line if I can. I don't care for BB and it will be way overcrowded since CC is closed now.
  10. First we spend T-day am browsing ads and on-line specials, then we gather a plan of where everyone is going, everyone goes to drop off locations. we put ni the cars: chairs, blankets-we might need em might not as we live in florida, usually don't need blankets, cooler w/ goodies and drinks. pen and paper and the ads of course.
  11. I will miss my yearly standing in line overnight at CC. We only have BB now and there will be no sense in standing in that line as it will fill up way faster than anything this year if they have good deals. I bet the people will be there from Wednesday night now till friday morning. It was like the time when the ps3 came out people were in line for days. not sure how they do this, but the longest line I was ever in was from Thurs night at 6:00 p.m. until 5:00 am fri (blk), but not to bad.
  12. Which one is better for a 3 year old to help with learning? leapster or v-tech laptop or computer system. I'm trying to figure out which one to get for xmas this year? Any advice?
  13. I have bought a few things already due to sales, clearance items, so far trying to work on a smaller budget this year as well due to the economy. Deals i've gotten; 4 cameras uji on easy pay love QVC for small easy pays. Toys r us; clearance items on baby stuff -- awesome Childrens place $2.99 stuff in the clearance section on line; with 20% coupon and 10% extra off for having a card of theirs. Target; new stuff for my daughter's new apt; $16.00 each crockpot, blender, 7.00 chopper-mini What deals have you'll gotten?
  14. We have this one and we love it! the kids love to make their own waffles, they fell in love with it last year on vacation at a hotel so I bought it last year for them for xmas. I set it up on the counter xmas eve and made the batter before they got up, poured it in lil cups so they could make their own when they got up, it was ahit my son made waffles for everyone who came over that day and would not take no for an answer so eveyrone ate a waffle last year. they love it. Make sure it gets hot enough and use pam or other spray for non-stick.
  15. I just ordered some stuff from that store earlier today, got some good buys on the little people and the snap dolls, some of that stuff on clearance as well.
