  1. I don't even know why we're bothering to try to convince you that you didn't get burned. If you don't want to buy stuff from Dell anymore, that's fine - more Dell deals for all of us. Happy deal hunting.
  2. I have Cool Runnings, one of my favoritest movies of all time.
  3. The Rock The Rocketeer Scream - was alright Serendipity - great romantic comedy Shanghai Knights and Shanghai Noon - funny Summer of Sam
  4. High Fidelity Il Postino (also in Italian, don't think I've seen it but it got a good rating at IMDB) Malena (also in Italian, have seen that one) Mighty Ducks is a CLASSIC Mr. Holland's Opus Nothing to Lose is funny... or maybe I'm thinking of Blue Streak Rabbit Proof Fence - I HIGHLY recommend watching. Rent it if you don't buy it. It's an Australian film.
  5. Found a few more good ones... Con Air Dead Presidents Grosse Pointe Blank Clerks the Animated Series if that interests you. Lots of kids stuff.
  6. I'm in the Cs and so far the only one I've found that's worth ordering is Cinema Paradiso. It's a great film. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095765/ http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemid=BVD028638 Edit: It is in Italian with English subtitles
  7. You people are killing me, btw... Isn't it about time for another 20% off coupon to be coming? Next month or two?
  8. They're one of the most reputable DVD sites out there.
  9. You didn't get burned, you got a good deal. Just happened that a better deal came along. Doesn't mean you got a bad deal. The best deals are when you pay LESS than the item is "worth" - i.e. loss leaders, where the seller is taking a loss on the item to get you in the store to buy other stuff. I doubt Dell is making a dime selling the remote for $70 AR when Amazon.com is selling it for $230.
  10. Phew, I was tempted to buy one, it's probably good that the coupon expired.
  11. Lets see how it handles the rap from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back: ****. ****. ****. Mother mother ****. Mother mother **** ****. Mother **** mother ****. Noise noise noise. 1 2 1 2 3 4 Noise noise noise. Smokin weed, smokin weed. Doin' coke, drinkin beers. Drinkin beers, beers beers. Rollin' fatties, smokin blunts. Who smokes the blunts? We smoke the blunts. Rollin' blunts and smokin um' <> 15 bucks, little man, put that shit in my hand. If that money doesn't show then you owe me owe me owe. My jungle love. Oh e oh e oh. I think I wanna know ya know ya ... yeah, what.
  12. To order online - Here is the monitor: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Acer-Monitor-AC713S-/sem/rpsm/oid/141624/catOid/-12965/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do Here is the printer: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Epson-Stylus-CX3810-All-In-One-Printer-C11C612001-/sem/rpsm/oid/136563/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do Rebates: $150 off all 3 + $40 off monitor + $10 off printer and computer + $30 off printer + $50 off printer and computer = $280 in rebates off $559 after instant savings
  13. I bought one. I was surprised they had any left - but then I saw in the ad (my local ad) they listed the BEFORE rebate/price break price. The CSR was kind of confused when I asked him where the $279 computers were. He eventually figured it out though. He had to ring up the computer (which came up at $349, just like on the website), then he had to add the monitor and printer separately, bringing the price to $559+tax total. Then a crapload of rebate forms printed out. The add was slightly inaccurate - instead of $290 in CC rebates and $80 in MFR rebates, it's $200 in CC rebates, $90 instant price break, and $80 in MFR rebates. Which makes it a slightly better deal for those of us in states that have sales tax, because you pay sales tax on the after price-break but BEFORE rebate price (so I paid tax on $559, not $649 or $279).
  14. Woah... I might get one, that's a lot better than my current computer
  15. The problem with fonts is, they only work if you have them on your own computer, otherwise it'll show up in some generic font. My personal feeling is that fonts are great for page layout and design, but for an Internet message board they don't really add any value. Bold and italics are good, they provide emphasis. Overuse of fonts, like overuse of images, would make the board very hard on the eyes. :)
  16. Yeah, I also have a K-Mart within a half mile of my house and I always drive the 10 minutes to Target instead. :) Even when they have hundreds of signs advertising 50% off stuff, I don't waste my time turning in.
  17. Contrary to popular belief (or opinion), retailers are not obligated to accept a return on an item simply because you don't like it. In most cases, if you buy an item and return it, it can't or won't be sold as new. So whether it's sold as an open box item, returned to the manufacturer and sold as refurbished, or whatever, someone is taking a hit for a consumer returning a perfectly good item. And of course you have the people who use Circuit City as a rent-a-center who make the situation worse, and that's why they charge a restocking fee. This is why I do a good deal of research any time I buy anything relatively expensive. Not only do I want to get the best deal, I want to get the best product. If you do that, you'll rarely be unhappy with what you get. :)
  18. I don't shop at Walmart because Target is a much more positive shopping experience.
  19. http://www.cablesforless.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1029 $8.89 :)
  20. Ok, as long as you're sure your bank does it like that. :) Most banks process all debits before they process any credits to the account for the day. Glad your bank is better than that. :)
