Ahem, there are THREE main gaming consoles geno, and the best one is Gamecube. From what I hear the XBox has the best hardware, but the PS2 is more popular because of the game selection. I also think the controller sucks for XBox, even the new one. Then again, I don't like PS2 controllers either, I can never remember which button is which. GameCube has a good controller. :) SNES had the best controllers ever though.

I just want to say the new edition of The Game of Life is a big steaming pile of crap. The spinner on the old one spun nice and smoothly, in the new one it hardly spins at all. Steaming pile of crap. I might get in on this deal though. Edit: I'd also like to say that I meant to post this in the 1/2 off board games thread.

I wouldn't mind some deals on tools, doubt it'll happen. I'll see what DVDs are on sale for rock bottom prices, last year the first two seasons of the Simpsons were going for $11 each but I already had both.

Dell UltraSharp E173FP 17" LCD Monitor - $249.25
mugs replied to GottaDEAL's topic in Online Hot Deals
Man this sucks, I just paid full price for one of these for my mom last week! I got in on this deal for myself, came to $277 with NJ sales tax. -
Heh, that would be awesome. But then again we might not get the great deals if that was the case. The stores use the hot deals to draw you in, then you buy the more expensive stuff. If you already knew the hot deals were gone you wouldn't go to the store at all, so they'd have no incentive to offer them in the first place. It's a catch-22 I guess. Oh well, I can at least hope that nobody goes to Circuit City again this year. :)

Last on Black Friday I wanted to get a DVD burner. Best Buy had it for $80 and Circuit City had it for $90. So I stay up all night and drive 45 minutes to Best Buy at 4 in the freaking morning only to find that there was ALREADY a line about a half mile long. So I went back home and went to sleep. In the afternoon I talked to a friend who I had told about the deal and he was able to get one at his Best Buy around noon... So I drive up to Best Buy again, sold out. Stop by Office Max, their deal was dead as well. Finally I ended up at the Circuit City that's 10 minutes from my house at 6 p.m. and they had a whole stack of them. Moral of the story is, I hate Black Friday, if I go anywhere this year it will be Circuit City and Circuit City only.

Yeah, just got it in my e-mail. Thanks for posting the pic so people who aren't on their mailing list don't have to sign up. :)

Nice! Uh... where?

I don't really know, as I haven't shopped around for tires very much. I believe Costco has stopped selling some of the lower-end tires, so maybe not. They also used to have a lifetime guarantee - if you got a flat tire they'd fix it or replace it for free. Not sure if they still have that, RossMAN could probably confirm.
-
Oh, heh... I didn't even realize you could get a donut for a Grand Cherokee, my dad has owned 4 of them and they all had full sized spares.
-
Costco B&M? Just buy 3 and use your spare as the 4th... why drive around with a brand new tire in the back of your truck when pretty much anything will do for a spare?

I don't understand the words you are speaking!

I've only done it once, because I had trouble getting my second account started... Used to be you could do two accounts at one time, they may have reduced it to just one at a time because of abuse. Here's some info on how it works: text

Dead Deal: Free USA Today Subscription

I saw a newspaper on the driveway as I was leaving this morning, I figured the paper guy accidentally threw the neighbor's paper there. Must have been my USA Today. :) -
Here's a question... can you "upgrade" from XP Home to XP Pro? I seem to recall reading somewhere that you can't, and I was rather annoyed.

I think I know what he means, I was actually thinking about this the other day. For a lot of items there are places that sell it for considerably less than other places, but some people don't know it. For instance, I used to be a sucker paying $30 an inket cartridge before I found websites selling generics. I just recently learned that eBay is the best place to buy Mach3 razor blades - you can get them for half of what you'd pay in stores. I think anything where if you were to post a question asking where to buy a particular item, and everyone answered the same store, that would be a good candidate for what AFB is suggesting. Not sure how you would want to implement it though, as it wouldn't lend itself perfectly to a forum setup.

$31.99 a case at the Bridgewater, NJ store, probably the same at the stores near you. That's just a bit more than half of what you're paying, maybe worth borrowing the car if you could afford to buy a lot in one trip. Bockchow, if you were nearby I'd hook you up for $21.50 a case of Bawls. :)

Does DirectAdmin work the same way?

Dead Deal: Free USA Today Subscription
mugs replied to Brad's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Nice deal, I signed up for the USA Today, Golf Magazine, and some skiing magazine. The USA today is 65 issues... I think they publish 5 issues a week, so that's 13 weeks. -
Delphi SKYFi XM Satellite Radio Receiver - $64.98 - XMFanStore
mugs replied to GottaDEAL's topic in Online Hot Deals
Is this like Sirius where you have to buy the tuner and the car/home kit separately? Edit: Apparantly it is. With my luck the week after I buy one of these things, I'll get a job 10 minutes from my house. Dang it all, I was thinking about signing up so I'd be able to hear Opie & Anthony when they start in October, but they're going to be on an XM "premium" channel that they charge you $2 a month for. Bleh. -
B&M and good deals on cables don't really mix, most stores rape you on them. Compgeeks.com has the cable you're looking for for $1.25 each (2 in stock right now). If you only want one, the shipping probably kills the deal as it's $7 for ground shipping. http://www.compgeeks.com/details.asp?invtid=USB2-10U2-02110&cat=CBL

It says it cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount offer... does that include sales? I saw some plain T-shirts there today, they were $9.99 each or 5 for $20. Would they be included?

Stinking Foot Locker doesn't sell Columbia shoes, only Timberland. How can any of these shoes qualify as "hiking"?! I'll check it out though, good deal.
