The free stuff was great, The cheap Zales jewelry was good but I think my best deal was the bogo Fisher Price toys were my best because I split the deal with a friend and we both got the castle, 2 big accessory sets and 2 small accessory sets for the castle for $30 each....

One year, many years ago, when I was 8, my mother had Cabbage Patch kids ordered for my brother and I that didn't come in time for x-mas. She decided that we would get New Years gifts that year. It was fun and she didn't make it like we would get gifts every new year. See if you find them after x-mas if the other TRU does not have it.

I have a think that the cards slide into, I bought it from one of the kids school undraisers. It Is about 3 feet long and the cards slide into the sides. Works well, no tape on the walls and it's easy for the kids to use.

My dd is turning 1 on 1/2/06 so I am in the same boat for stocking stuffers, and of course she has 3 older brothers who expect santa to bring her stocking stuff too. SO.... 1 Pack of Socks, 1 Sippy Cup, 1 baby toothbrush and paste pack, 1 Care Bear (small one), 1 Pack Onesies, 1 To-Go Cookie cup (teddy grahams) and 3 Weebles. Of course her Grammy bought the worlds biggest Baby's first stocking she could find so it took forever to fill.

I finally got to some of the wrapping last night. I just had to turn off the computer and *amazingly* I found the time to get something done. I love this site but WOW the forums are addictive!!! If I turn off the computer I just might miss a great deal.

Have you tried your local movie rental store. After 2-3 weeks our store (Movie Gallery) puts the extras on sale used. They always work great and last week they were b2g2. For $30 I got all of my kids a *new* movie, There were no stickers on them that said USED. Just no shrinkwrap, but the kids won't even care.

I'm not sure this is the right place to post this but here goes anyway: I need to buy tickets on Southwest for April school break. Right now tickets are only on sale only through the end of March. Does anyone know when the next set of tickets are being released for sale? Any insider info would really help. THANKS!

I bought dd's birthday gifts on black friday. She'll be 1 on Jan. 2nd and the Fisher Price stuff was bogo. She is getting the whole Lil' People Castle with all accessories packs and I paid only $30 for all of it.

I have the Word Whammer for my kindergartener. I know he will learn all the words on it in 3 months and be done with it but then I will just put it in storage for his sister. I know he will love it for as long as he uses it because a friend has one and he goes straight there everytime he is in her house.

Print that page and take it into the store with you. Make sure that they see where it says you can get that price in store. If they are following their own rules they should match it. If they refuse to match the game you bought, threaten to return it and re-buy it at the matched price. That usually gets them to be helpful but I have had to actually go through the return then re-buy process before.

Sears is having a sale, many items in flyer, including 10% off everything in the store 7-10am includes most except lands end, exceptional value items and Electronics dept. Plus the clearance stuff is 30% off marked price and the 10% more.

Hat, Scarf, glove set....saw some on sale at Sears (in store) under $20 for some nice lookinh sets.

Wal-Mart had the smaller ones last month for under $7. They have the metal pins. My whole hand did not fit but my son's did. There were 3 styles, square, circle and star. Black or purple plastic frames. They were in the toy dept, in the aisle with the "junk" (my word) Junk=The green army men, the spy toys, the yo-yo's. the marbles, all the small, cheap toys I use for b-day bags and stocking stuffers. I hope that helps.

Magnetix are great, my 11yo loves Legos and Lego Bionicles too. If he's getting an I-pod maybe you could get him an i-tunes card...the gas/convenience store here has pre-paid cards to i-tunes. McD's or BK certifs are always great. Movie theatre passes. Wal-Mart gift cards even work. Both of my boys love gift cards/certifs. They never feel cheated (like I might) they feel like they won the lottery and after christmas they make out like bandits on the sale stuff.

Someone told my son in 1st grade, so we told him the truth. He is 11 now and no matter what we say he still BELIEVES and I mean Really Believes. He knows we do his presents but he is convinced that Santa is really out there. It is wonderful and fun and oh so sweet. p.s. I believe too and I buy the presents.

The boy OR girl part makes it hard, my son't class did that but boys bought for boys and girls for girls. Much easier.... That being said, don't chear the budget, You'll just be disappointed when your son comes home with something worth $1.50 (the max was 5, not the minimum) and you went all out. Check the dollar store, stocking stuffer areas. walmart had tons of fun little stuff at the registers for under $1 and $2. Try a bag of mixed things.

It goes in the stocking for the 11 and 12 yo's and in hubby's stocking. Maybe they'll take the hint j/k!!!!!

Before I had four children (actually until the 3rd one) I used to get the cats little jingle bell balls. It was fun....wonder why I stopped doing that...... I forsee another trip to walmart for me in the next week or so...... dammit I thought I was done!!! :)
