  1. This is from their Help section I have never seen that before and remember just recently seeing something on their site about matching the price if it falls within 30 days.... did this just change recently? anyone? I am confuesd now!
  2. I stopped all of that a few years ago. It used to be visit the grandparents, aunts and uncles then off to the other side of the family. The kids were lost in the whirl of the revolving door... to me Christmas is about family but it's also about the kids. We simply stopped going and invited anyone that wantd to drop in to do so. Some come by and have pie in the afternoon, others think it's too much trouble to go visiting on x-mas...tough!!! They thought it was ok for me to travel all over the state with kids but not ok for them to travel to see us. Now my children enjoy the holiday and their new toys - and we know who really wanted to see us in the first place.
  3. Miracles come in all sizes. My miracle was a small beanie butt Cabbage Patch doll at Wal-Mart. I really needed the boy one for my son (no comments from the peanut gallery) and I couldn't find one. I was about to walk away and said to my older son that I guess they didn't have any boy ones. A lady right beside me must have heard because the next thing I know she is handing me a boy one she was going to buy and said that if I needed it then I should have it because her daughter wouldn't really care. To whoever you were- Thank You!! (also from my 6yo son)
  4. My 12 yo son loves footie pj's. We found these ones at Target a few weeks ago and he is thrilled now.
  5. Wal-Mart (total time in store 17mins) 5 mins in electronics for gameboy micro, then 10 mins to get out of electronice due to traffic jam. Then no wait at front register to pay for 3 other items. 6. Just don''t cut up the ad and put the individual items on each sticky note...I made that mistake a few years ago and they (Wal-Mart) gave me a huge runaround about matching the prices since the flier was not intact and they could not be 100% sure that the prices I was showing them were the current prices. (the little piece of ad said- EARLY BIRD 7-11am but that didn't matter to them) Bring the whole flier and put the PM info on a sticky note with the original retailer and the page number on the note too.
  7. raynay- this is one of the fliers that came with a $10 off $10 coupon. I do the same thing as you with the socks...sometimes ones on clearance and I get about 4 pairs for under $1 after the coupon. I agree that this is not a great sale but it is their Black Friday offering and I thought maybe someone would want to see it (even if they see it and decide not to go there because the deal is not that good.)
  8. Only on sets up to $69.99...so that rules out the Mindstorms set I was hoping to save a ton on.
  9. and a picture of the ad http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f149/sheliboyle/IMG_1131.jpg

  11. Have you checked the sporting goods department at wal-mart? They may not be the same quality as LL Bean but they do have them for reasonable prices. Dicks Sporting goods also has them.
  12. Forget him, who needs him? let him catch a cab. With him slowing me down there's less I can grab. eta: oh poo! too slow -this was going to follow on the slow hubby from cleverbffool- you can erase me if it confuses the poem
  13. 2004 archive 2005 archive the 2004 ad scans are gone now, probably a space issue on the server, but it you do a search for kbtoys maybe you will find some info. when you open the page it will say "There have been no posts in the last 60 days in this forum. Try using the controls below to search for any older posts that may exist" - just change the display options to "from the beginning" to get all the 2004 threads to show. Then use the search this thread feature to search for kbtoys hth- sheli eta- there is a list of 2004 kb items here

HOT items are usually not on the BF sales. They are already selling well and there is no need to discount them to get them moving. Doorbusters have usually been things that are either not moving well but the low price will draw people in to buy them -or- special items that are made just to grab you in on BF but that are really not the top sellers of the year.
  15. I have 4 children and those 4 children have 6 grandparents, we have seen every gift under the sun. My favorites were: A NICE jewelry box for the baby girl, she will be able to keep it forever. Earrings that she can not have now (no diamonds for the baby to lose) but she will treasure forever since they are from Grammy. Savings Bonds- they are good to have in any size and they always fit much better than the clothes we got. (45 outfits in newborn size is not a good gift) Gift Cards- good for diapers, socks, toys or whatever the child needs (not so good if you think the parents will spend it on themselves-or maybe that might not bug some people) Pampers gift certificates from pampers.com they come in a range of prices from 4 packs for $45 up to 96 packages for $879. They are great for any new baby and parent.
  16. Early bird = door buster. They are exactly the same thing. So, no, the F&F night will not incude the early bird items. You do however get the "after 11am" price listed in the ad plus another 10% off...not usually as good ad the early bird price but sometimes being done is worth the slight price increase.
  17. Their official policy last year (DH was working there then) was that they would not price match on doorbuster items, but the later in the day or 2 day prices could be used for matching. Some people had great luck and were able to pm on competitors doorbusters (not many though) Some people had bad luck and were not allowed ANY pm's by sears on black friday.
  18. The 24 Hour Wal-Mart here is closed on Thanksgiving (state law) and does not re-open until usually 5am. So, even though we have a 24 hour WM, we still have to stand out in the cold and freeze our...umm,.....TOES off!
  19. thanks cool_guy2005 !!!!
  20. CVS showed up last year but it was very late in the game. Less than a week before bf if memory serves...maybe 10 days....make that 2 days before (I just had to search and check) I am waiting for their annual bf battery prices....gotta stock up with 4 kids and all their electronics ....
  21. The 8 and 6 yo's might like the lego Bionicles. My son started with them when he was 6, the $9ish ones are the easiest to put together, come with great instructions and are light weight for shipping purposes. Warning: Bionicles are addictive and have cost us hundreds of dollars...but we love them! Matt is 12 as of yesterday and still plays with them daily.
  22. Mens socks were on clearance and hidden in the corner. DH made a killing on $1.24 2-packs of casual/dress socks. I think he bought over 20 pairs of socks. Nothing big and exciting but the small stuff is fun too!
  23. There is a giant thread of Target deals here. If you post your find there you will be sure to get the info to the most interested parties. Thanks for Posting!
  24. HEAT, I have never seen any other coupon codes for LL Bean other than the free shipping. Clearance sales happen and the factory store (B+M) has % off sales but I have never seen a discount code for their regular items. Sorry.
  25. They don't do this anymore. (Let you sned in for a name change) BUT you can go online with the birth certificate you get in the box and change the name and print one on your home computer. It does not look nearly as nice, but it is an option.
