Skipped cheap and went straight to Dell.com Great notenooks with the stuff I want and not the stuff they insist I buy. I spent a little more but I feel like I got a LOT MORE. (I bought 2, a great one for me and a good one for hubby) hehe

Changes my mind about the clean house, I didn't realize a million dollars was a choice (lol) but I'm with bestbuy7...that million could clean the house and a whole lot more....

Nothing for BF at Kbtoys? I have to disagree with that. The bogo Fisher Price toys were great for me. I bought stuff for my daughter (1yo) my son (5yo) and my friend's son (2 yo) I spent only $60 for over $168 worth of toys.... that seemed like a great deal to me, and I got $20 in store gift cards to use later too...... There wasn't much for 11 and 12 year old kids but the savings for the younger ones made up for it IMHO.

THAT"S WHAT I WANT...somebody call hubby and tell him!!!!

I wish I knew what I want for Christmas. I would be happy to tell you if I even had one good idea. Hubby would be happy if I told too...my lack of want this year is making him crazy.

My Great Aunt lived in a nursing home for years, due to space she couldn't really have a lot of things. We would buy her things like holiday socks, any holiday will do because they can be saved for later use. Inexpensive jewelry (things get lost sometimes) and lotions or soaps were always on the list for her. She also was given meal certificates to have food from local restaurants, someone would just go pick up the food for her when she was ready. Hope that helps some..... Sheli

Where did you buy the camera? Some stores are great about returns some less helpful....

Get on the phone, scream a little(not too much), the results may vary but it makes you feel better just to scream it out. Plus it usually helps....... I always start with "I'm not angry with you personally but I have a problem that insert company name has to fix." Good Luck!!!!!

We wrap santa gifts in paper with santas on it. The kids usually get about half from us and half from santa. Santa is great for the things we said no to and then later realized we would buy. We try to keep special, meaningful things from us. Santa brings general toys from the list, we claim the "most wanted."

I really had not seen the monsters until 3 days ago on a commercial and of course my son is dying for one. Do the stores have one? Of course not..... reason #56 I want to skip x-mas

my dad would say: "nada, zip, nothing...."

Usually get up at 4am and run to kbtoy store. Probably do the same next year, the computers at dell are such a good deal year round that if i end up needing one I'll get one there instead of staying out al night in the cold....time is money too you know and the thought of 12+ hours out in the cold just to FIGHT for a computer is too miuch for me.

That's the same "cyber" i thought when I heard the CBS news talking about it in my half asleep state this morning...hubby laughed at me.....

THANK YOU!!! That's exactly the right idea. I don't really want a nice gift for 2 of them. A Star Wars chia pet would be great...anyone seen one?

Hubby used to work at Sears. Policy is to PM anything b+m that is within "reasonable" driving distance. Up to an hour was never even questioned and the right associate wouldn't ask where. The catch is you have to add the cost of shipping to the online price before they match it. This is because online prices are often lower than b+m to compensate for shipping charges.

Take care of this problem for next year.... just save everything that you get this year that you didn't like and regift it. hehehe...my favorite thing to do with these people...glad it's not just me who does this......

I have to buy gifts for family members (even those I truly dislike) so I need help finding something cheap that doesn't scream CHEAP. Know what I mean? These are adults so my toy saavy doesn't help. $20 range is good, less is better. Help. ps. Yes, I'm an adult, but my mother still controls family x-mas and it is best not to upset her.

I was new here for bf2005 but I am here to stay!!! THANK YOU for all the deals and for having a site for obsessive savers like me.....

They didn't want to pm my 3 for $10 up to 5 for $10 but i said fine I'll just return these 3 and then turn around and buy 5 at today's price (had yesterdays bag and recipt in hand) They did the swap but it took 10 mins and a lot of dirty looks from the manager.

I have 4 children (12, 11, 5, 1) and refuse to spend hundreds on each of them at x-mas. They get about $100 in toys/electronics each (except the baby whose needs are few.) They also get new shoes, shirts, blankets, sockss, toothbrushes ect... Necesities basically. It's not an issue of money it's about excessive spending and not giving in to their every whim. It's also about having a small house.

Symphonic is the same as Sylvaina and Emerson, sometimes features vary but they are all owned by the same company. Symphonic typically at Wal-mart. It's an LCD tv for $178...an excllent price for a good tv.
