Because it's Express Saver, FedEx will not deliver early. They will wait until the first scheduled day of delivery. It's their cheapest method, so they won't give you "free" overnight or two day. But if it was UPS ground, and you lived in the same area as the shipping location, you'd still receive it within a day or two. This would happen all the time with me and Newegg.

It really depends on the manufacturer. Lenovo I believe lets you still add in XP, but I believe it is XP Pro. (pro isn't that bad, use it over home.) The cheapest I've seen XP is for 99.00, but that was when you bought a new motherboard/CPU combination at Fry's, and it's OEM. By the way, it's not really free free - you have to purchase the two together on the same receipt, and then submit it for a rebate. However, the promo that Apple has been running on this has been getting better every year!! I've been considering a MacBook and the ability to get an Ipod Touch, whether or not I want to keep it, is very tempting. It must be purchased at an Apple Store, or authorized apple retailer. If your campus sells apple products, that should also work. Check with them for details.
