  1. 1. Go here: http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/ShoppingList 2. Select the store 3. Click to add items to your list 4. Scroll to the bottom of the page, hit save.
  2. I edited the title so that all P&S camera discussion goes in this thread. I have one thing to say: Do not buy a Kodak camera. Their quality is just not up to par with the other camera companies. Focus on Canon, Nikon or maybe Sony. I don't like Sony's, but some here have some nice results with them. I'll have to look to see which one has a 10x optical zoom and is still small.
  3. I had no money off CVS coupons, so I just bought candy. 4 bags for 6 bucks after 1.00/2 bags coupons. That wasn't that bad.
  4. I had been meaning to change that. I've updated the first post.
  5. Search for the "pieces of flair" application and install it, and then search for "gottadeal" to add that piece of flair to your pieces of flair wall.
  6. DARNIT. I just restocked on my Bare Minerals at their store because I was running out and couldn't wait until December when they usually run this sale.
  7. I think in time, all stores will wind up charging you for a paper or plastic bag from them. Especially with so many cities out here proposing plastic bag bans.
  8. I use my GD bags at Target.
  9. I'd say Amazon. Check the ads when they come out, but I don't get the feeling I ever see the D90 bundled - I've seen the new Nikon and the Canon T1 (holy cow that's expensive but has HD video shooting.) Try a local camera store around BF - they may have a deal with a lens bundle.
  10. You have the keep the actual coupon that follows the receipt. The card will not keep track of it for you. Did the Revlon deal this morning - Before Coupons, pretax was 15.98 - 5.00 off 15.00 coupon - 2.00 ECB - 3.00 ECB Total OOP 6.72, Got 7.00 ECB back. Really unfortunate I didn't have any Revlon coupons! I don't know if I want to do the candy, while it will probably only cost me 3.25ish OOP, you only get 5.00 ECB back. Plus I don't get trick or treaters in an apartment complex, so the last thing I want is bags of candy around here. Although it's tempting. I tried to use my 10/20 this morning, but that specific store doesn't open until 8am! I usually CVS before work to check stock.
  11. It would have been better if they just tied the promo to the regular ECB card - such as making the cashier scan something to make it "register" that I used a reusable bag. I don't have the card on my keys - I keep it in my wallet, and I don't want to go looking for another one!
  12. Yes. I was planning on doing this too. It's the only way the deal becomes anywhere close to decent.
  13. They are doing get $7 ECB when you buy $15 of Revlon makeup. I got a $5 off $15 yesterday when I picked up my prescriptions, and I got some $10 off $20 in the mail because they just "reopened" one of our local Longs that converted to a CVS. There may be some good pickings for me this week. Too bad I went through my coupon file and didn't find a SINGLE Revlon coupon. Plenty of Cover Girl and L'Oreal!
  14. I have the flip. It's actually a lot of fun and relatively small and easy to carry. My husband used the software that came with it to edit three small videos he shot (about his car of course) into one file and easily uploaded it onto youtube. We bought ours at Costco.
  15. I tried editing the picture to make it bright, bring out more of the colors, and "cool" the color of the water so it's bluer, but the picture is still blurry. I think an SLR will help in your action shots, but if lighting overall is an issue (if it seems dark to your naked eye) then no fancy camera can fix it. Some of my favorite ones, no retouching: Outdoors. Kit lens. Indoors in a museum, lighting above the object. Kit lens again. Outdoors, light is starting to fade. Kit lens. Baseball night game, using a 70-300mm zoom lens I borrowed (I had it all the way to 300mm) but unfortunately didn't know how to use it well enough, the picture seems shaky to me. Still using the zoom lens, much better against a darker background of the dirt. Day football game, picture is overexposed because the sun was shining RIGHT INTO MY FACE. If I retouch the baseball and football game pics though I bet I can make them come out richer...
  16. My dad bought one of the 10.1 inch ones over the weekend from Fry's for 199.00. It's a cute little thing, and my parents said they're mostly going to use it on long road trips so my mom can watch video while my dad drives, but DAMN that keyboard was small. And I have REALLY small hands to boot (I'm barely five feet tall, and I swear I have the hands of a child.) Typing on that thing was not easy. If you're used to "regular" typing with your fingers hovering over ASDF JKL; you're going to make many typos. I almost had to resort to pecking. But it was very small and cute. I wanted to take it with me to NYC, since Virgin America has WiFi on the plane now. 5-6 hours in flight? I'll pay for the internet!
  17. You can go to places that have free WiFi, otherwise, you need to have some kind of WiFi service to connect to.
  18. I don't. Wal-Mart isn't close enough. It's about 10-12 miles away, and it's really a painful 10-12 miles to get there. BB is less than 2 miles away. Plus the fact there's only ONE Wal-Mart on this part of the Bay doesn't help that Wal-Mart at all. But I do have Fry's Electronics.
  19. I've been enjoying the brand new Kohl's near me - I keep getting 10.00 coupons (got two in the mail, got one in the store, and one was on the newspaper on Sunday) and I still haven't signed up for a card, and I'm going to resist for as long as possible. But it's only good if I have the 10.00 coupons, otherwise it's not really worth my while.
  20. The approach I took with getting a starter DSLR was that I knew what the brands were out there, and what models were the "starter" ones. I looked at the Nikon D40, D60, and the Canon XSi. They just came out with a Nikon D3000 and I think Canon has some new ones coming out also. The number of MP's a camera has should not be the reason why you buy a camera - the MPs only tell you how big of a picture you can take, not how great the picture will turn out. Best Buy has this package for 749.97: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9999117100050004&st=nikon+d60&lp=4&type=product&cp=1&id=pcmprd117200050004 It is the body, kit lens, an 55-200mm lens and a bag in one package. Try to find deals in that range for this camera. For the Canon XSi, BB has it for 699: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8794691&st=canon+xsi&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1205537713445 But it is much cheaper at Amazon, which is where I bought mine. From there, I just looked at what each camera offered, compared the number of auto focus points, and the price... and then just bought the Canon anyways because I have owned only Canon cameras for quite a while. This hobby gets expensive though! I've been oogling additional lenses - I want a "portrait" type lens, and eventually a zoom lens. I also need to learn how to take better pictures, which is also going to cost me money.
  21. I saw some nice, generic cards at Michael's for $1.00 for 8. If you don't have a lot to send out, it's an option.
  22. I have the XSi. Love it. Need to learn how to take better pictures, but overall, love it. When I was at Target earlier this week, I noticed the Nikon D40 was on clearance, if you're interested in something now.
  23. Here is last year's thread: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=125034&highlight=build+bear
  24. Open one on this side of the Bay Area! (one can hope...)
  25. I need to resolve to do this on an everyday basis.
