  1. Are we still boycotting Wags? Colgate toothpaste - 3.99 with 3.99 in RR, and there are always coupons floating around!
  2. I've ordered from 1800contacts in the past. I've actually been lucky and my current optometrist price matches 1800contacts, so combined with my insurance I haven't had to look online for a while.
  3. Gah! Absolutely no bulk items left. I found the "bulk" mascara and the bulk Clean & Clear blotting sheets on random shelves, but they were only 30%! I was REALLY hoping to find Sharpies.
  4. Well it's a filet plus a lobster tail. A well prepared filet is probably around $30 at a steakhouse like Ruth Chris, so with lobster it's probably at least $55-60
  5. I so wanted to start up that episode of South Park when I saw the title of this thread...
  6. I really should change my signature - Resident Canon Camera Recommender.

  8. I have Verizon and I really have not negotiated with them on the rate. You can always threaten to cancel and see if they can help you on the rate. My previous employer had discounts for Verizon, and that got me about 15% off my bill. However, if you get your husband the 9.99 internet plan, be prepared for the overages if he goes online A LOT. The overage fee is ridiculous per MB and it's very easy to go over it. Also note some phones may require a mandatory 10 dollar data plan, no matter what. And Verizon does their best to get you off the grandfathered plans the second you pick up a new snazzier phone - happened to my friend. She had unlimited texting back in the day for no cost, then they switched her plan when she upgraded, then they forced a mandatory 10.00 data plan fee on her current phone. You can go to Best Buy - I used to go to an authorized dealer or reseller all the time and got my phones relatively cheap before Verizon wisened up to my tactics of switching my phone number every two years to qualify as a "new" customer. The deal at Best Buy may be better but it really depends on the phone and the contract specifics. If you want the Motorola Droid, it might not be as good. The HTC Droid Eris though, you may be able to finangle some deals. Note if you go outside of Verizon, you may not be able to cancel/switch for a set period of months as the vendor waits for their commission from Verizon to come through. I know this is all kinda garbled, my response, but I personally have been happy with Verizon, and I don't want to leave them because I think their coverage is far superior to anyone else out there. T-Mobile's coverage is nowhere near as extensive as Verizon's I believe.
  9. The laptop deals haven't been blazing. I just bought a 17.3" laptop from Staples for $650 and I'm enjoying it. Any laptop you find from 400-500 dollars will do everything you need, since you aren't a "power" user. Just try to search for one that has about a 320gb hard drive. I wouldn't buy an Acer, so stick to the HP/Dell/Toshiba of the world. I don't recommend Sony laptops either, they tend to fail a lot in my experience. If you find any laptops, try to match the specs up against each other and see what's the better deal.
  10. Look, for a six year old you don't want to get them anything expensive. Just something to take a basic picture. Kodak's are cheap (although I would never recommend them to anyone) so they're easily replaceable. I can't find another one that's under 100 for kids. This is a non kodak under 100: http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-Coolpix-L20-Digital-Optical/dp/B001PKEJYM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1263399295&sr=8-1 Also, don't use the software that comes with it - if you want to move the pictures off your camera, use the USB cable and access the camera through your "My Computer" as it will show up like an extra drive. Many laptops now come with a card reader, so all you have to do is take the card out and stick it in the slot and it will open like another drive.
  11. I went today during my lunch. It's an extra 15%. I just got pillows and towels. I was gazing longingly at some of the other kitchen item clearance though.
  12. Redwood City, CA Target - the shelves that are marked 50% off, a lot of the stuff on there was 75%. I got something for my friend's son's birthday this coming week for only 10 bucks, regular price 40 (and I can't remember what it is called exactly.) No holiday stuff left. I'm going to have to go back tomorrow to stock up for girls birthdays this year along with one more little boy.
  13. I went to the tiny CVS this morning and they were only at 50%! I did get the Crayola cookie cutter/decoration thingy for 1.00 each since I just wanted the cookie cutters.
  14. We have an entire frickin shelf of beanie babies in my sister's room at my parents house. We have no idea what to do with them.
  15. I kinda go into the pros and cons of that camera here: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=164287 But if you can spend up to 150, I'd get the Canon 1200IS or the A1100. Or keep hoping the SD780IS drops in price again.
  16. I'm not sure. However, there were coupons for excedrin today in the paper, and I think you can combine CVS + Manufacturer coupons. If you want to try it, do the $5 off 2 first, then the B1 Get 1 coupon, then manufacturer coupons and see what happens.
  17. Woohoo CVS is 75% at my local store, and they still had a bunch of stuff, including stuff I bought at 50% because I was convinced it would be gone. They only had small printed signs saying "75% with extra care card."
  18. 75% at the Mountain View, CA store, but there isn't much of anything left there.
  19. Really? I grab a coupon book of something every month at my Walgreens. I'll have to pay attention and see what they call it.
  20. Happy 2010 at Wags!
  21. Happy after Christmas sales hunting! I went today, got tissue paper and boxes at 50% off since they were running low and I didn't want to risk it. January 1st = quarterly ECB reward day!
  22. The Redwood City target had... nothing I wanted. It was 75% but no tissue paper and no boxes! I got some garland, and they had the santa hat and elf ears for dogs so I got those. There were a lot of ornaments, a lot of napkins, and a bunch of small items. No trees either! I got a tree last year for 75%! I might try to hit up Sunnyvale tomorrow, or maybe Foster City.
  23. Not yet! I am hoping to head out tomorrow, but the hubs isn't working this week so it makes it harder for me to um, do some, discretionary shopping. All I want is tissue paper and boxes.
  24. Ugh I wish you could use that coupon in store! There's a store at the local outlet mall and my mom and I had a field day last week when it was buy 2, get 1 free.
  25. I couldn't find any reviews of the site. If you're fine with buying "high quality factory copies" (that's the first time I've heard that) then place a small order with a credit card and see what happens. Do NOT use your debit card, in case they never ship, so you can easily reverse the charges. And monitor the credit card closely after you place the order, to make sure they don't steal your card number. My brother booked a hotel in China, that wasn't a US based chain, and they had a field day with his credit card.
