  1. A bridge camera would be a good option also - has some manual options, but no one will really have a hissy fit if he shoots in automatic (and frankly, sometimes it's just easier.) Here's one option: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-SX30IS-Digital-Optical-Stabilized/dp/B0041RSPR8/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1320970612&sr=8-4 I have this camera: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-PowerShot-S95-Stabilized-3-0-Inch/dp/B003ZSHNGS/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1320970612&sr=8-6 It actually allows you to shoot in true manual - I can set f/stops, shutter speed, but in a compact size. It's a bit difficult to hold effectively (I hate where the flash pops up.) This is also a good option: http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-DMC-LX5-Digital-Stabilized-3-0-Inch/dp/B003WJR69E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1320970829&sr=8-1 You can also look at the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-HX100V. I don't know much about this one but reading the review on DPR it says the camera operates really slow.
  2. WalMart's policy seems to vary widely from store to store - the best way to go is to ask your local store and see how they are handling it.
  3. The bundle is coupons. Nothing else.
  4. They have the last couple of years. Also, Costco might sell them again this year, check there also if you are a member.
  5. It's also a fraction of the storage space. If your kids are going to play a lot of games then the bigger HD might be a better consideration. Especially if you don't want to deal with putting in your own hard drive later. Let Amazon do the work for you! The camera isn't listed anywhere, looks like it is made JUST for WalMart and probably JUST for black friday. At 20 dollars off, it's not a super deal. It is also not a super camera. If you have a need for a camera where it will be easily abused and you want something cheap, it should do just fine. If you want better pictures, look elsewhere. It does not mention having image stabilization (doubtful at that price) so if you have shaky hands, this is NOT the camera for you when you're taking pictures indoors!
  6. That's not the same as a price adjustment - you are buying the item on BF and returning the other one later. Price adjustment they would actually adjust that day during the specials hours.
  7. What's the lens in the AAFES? Is it an extra lens? They all come with a basic lens (18-55mm.) The bag you can get anywhere, and it's probably a better idea to get a bag you want - I don't like those freebie bags. The Nikon D5100 is actually a slight step up from entry level. I have a Canon DSLR, love it, but I'm a total Canon fangirl (and I'm committed, I have Canon lenses.) The Nikon D5100 is also a great camera but the D3100 is more entry level. The important thing is that your husband READS THE MANUAL and learns to shoot in M mode, not automatic, to fully appreciate his camera. The camera does so much, lenses are actually more important, but the most important thing is that the user knows and understands all the different settings and what setting to use when. I actually don't like the T3 - I'd rather spend the money on the T3i, I just like the specs on that camera better (while the MP isn't a huge concern, shooting in live view could be useful.) It also has the larger screen on the back, and it is multi angle which could be helpful when shooting video. (In HD!)
  8. It's hopping, everyone!
  9. West coast! This ad drops at 9pm my time! Sent from my iPhone using GottaDeal
  10. Look, a non midnight opening time!
  11. I love Seagate hard drives. For a while, it was the only one I'd buy to put in my computers. (Haven't built a computer in ages, so I haven't bought one in a while.)
  12. My husband bought his at Costco - it's a Norelco, and I think it was nearly 100 bucks. He's gone through so many electrics, and this is the only one he's kept. You really do get what you pay for.
  13. I've moved this to other stores, and don't expect a super high quality camera.
  14. I went to CVS on Sunday - all the candy was gone, they just had some various Halloween "stuff" for 50% off. Ugh.
  15. I just went for candy, which was 70% but it was all the candy people didn't want - twizzlers, nerds, smarties, etc. Yuck.
  16. Oh good, Free shipping is on 50 dollars or more. Last year I had to pad my order to get up to the free shipping for 75 and then returned what I didn't really want.
  17. The one in Sunnyvale has the capability for 80 cashiers. STILL a long line! I worked at Fry's... ahh... thankfully never during BF or Christmas.
  18. Big cup of coffee and donuts for whoever is typing this ad up.
  19. Oh and I've learned not to go on BF anymore, because there really isn't anything I want that badly. The lines are crazy all day. But I agree, their prices are better.
  20. Never. Unless you have informants at your local newspapers. There are Fry's in California, Oregon and Texas. :) And now Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Nevada and Washington!
  21. Awesome! I hope I can pop in just to watch, I do have a football game to watch and recap.
  22. Prime for life! Although good move BB. We hardly ever go there now, since we have Prime.
  23. Probably won't make it.
