  1. I usually am in line by 1-2am at the absolute latest. Where I live, you aren't there at that time, you will be 40-50th in line. I live around TONS of die hards on BF.
  2. Is this country wide? My son has a football game Tuesday night so that would be great as we usually go somewhere afterwards. Its been so long since I had Pizza Hut. They're usually too pricey for me
  3. I also need to get my parents a DVD player. They want a duel one w/ a VCR too. Hopefully I can get a great deal on that.
  4. Last year I was at Toys R Us first as my sister hit KB Toys for me (I just gave her my list). Usually though Im at Walmart. Mine is 24 hours so I go there super early and get all my price match stuff first, then drift around the area until the BF prices are in effect.
  5. I price match too. Its great. About being disappointed, no I got everything I wanted. I usually do all of my shopping in one day. Its just an added bonus that Im already out getting super deals with BF. I mainly go out on BF for the kids. My oldest is harder this year as he is 11 and doesn't do toys. Hes not really into much besides football and computer stuff. My parents already bought him every computer accessory he needs. My daughter is only 5 so give her any doll/barbie and shes squealing with delight.
  6. Its always hectic to shop Thanksgiving day as I usually host everyone, but I wont miss it for the world! I make sure all the prepping is done for dinner. When Im done shopping, I go straight home and start cooking! I usually have 15 + people so its a tiring day! Of course I never do go to sleep because of the anticipation of BF the next day! Needless to say though once BF is over, I pass out on the couch or bed till dark.
  7. One of my first BF experiences was when I was 7 months pregnant with my daughter. My only bad thing was feeling sick. Yes, I had morning sickness the entire 9 months. Its funny because Im standing at the Toy store line munching on crackers. Seriously though, just be careful, there is always one or two nuts out there who will push/shove. Luckily, my day went well then, but you never know. Good luck
  8. Of course I head out every BF, but does anyone else look forward to the Thanksgiving Day sales? Every year Im up by 5am and off to Kmart and Walgreens. I usually buy a lot then and also check out where merchandise may be the next day! I got Revlon lipsticks at Walgreens for only .99. It was for BF, but the sales clerk said the price went in the registers early. Supposed to be a one limit, but she let me buy 3! Kmart every year always has items I want too. Last year was GameBoy Advance games for only $8-$10. GameBoy Advance systems too for only $25. So I really look forward to both days!
  9. I loved Kmarts sale on Thanksgiving that had the GameBoy Advance games for only $10. I bought all the varieties
  10. I hate that too, but I do love the fact they match the BF sale prices. My walmart is open 24 hours, so I go in around 4am and fill my cart with the items I want from other stores, then stay in the general area of the pallets for their specials. Most items if toys will be in that area, etc. I just hate the cart smashing. My sister and I went there last year and we got bumped by carts, smashed into, and literally shoved to get items. Im 5'11 and my sister is only 5'3 (shes older by 5 yrs), needless to say she was bumped and not me! LOL
  11. I started around the first of the year. Even after December 26, I was still buying (christmas clearances). I bought makeup kits for my daughter at 75% off, cologne for my husband and father (50-75% off) etc. So even then I was buying for christmas 2005. After paying off my credit card around Febuary, THEN I wanted it to be BF again!
  12. All depends whats in the ads and if I really want it or need it. I think last year I spent roughly $400 or so. I usually do almost all my christmas shopping that day for the kids too.
  13. Day before Thanksgiving and/or on Thanksgiving day (I go to the sales then too) I usually already know the ads (thanks to this forum especially). Does anyone else go to a store and check out where something will be placed? I always go to the toy stores and check out the lay out. Especially if I haven't been there awhile. I started doing this as 3 yrs ago, as I hadn't been to Toys R Us in awhile. Anyway, I go there on BF run to the back corner of the store and I come to find out they changed the whole lay out of the store. I was so mad as they only a limited number of the one item and my son wanted a specific one of the product and there was none left. Ever since then I always map out the store or some may say case out the joint! Anyone else do this? Oh, I also find a younger employee and try to get some info from them! LOL
  14. I love Black Friday! I have so far $150 saved up in cash for shopping and will either charge or use debit card for the rest. Depending if I need too!
  15. If no one responds, (sorry I don't have any of those) try Amazon.com and/or Half.com. I find tons of my used books there. Good luck

    BF Forum is Open!

I am so looking forward to next month! I only hope the deals are out there this year! Go price wars! Haha
  17. I always hear so many horror stories on how unorganized and chaotic stores are on BF. Is there a store in your opinion that is organized and ready for all the business? last year I was so impressed by my KB Toy store. They only let 10 people in at a time. Had foot prints on the floor basically showing you had you had to walk through the store (so there wasn't people running everywhere). All clerks worked that day and you were "assigned" a worker who asked for your list and got everything for you. So all you had to do is walk around w/ the foot prints (haha) and see if you wanted anything else. Store opened at 5am and I was out of there by 5:15am. (I was 3rd in line). I just hope its the same manager and workers this year! Made by experience great.
  18. Tv for my sons room (15" or larger color), gameboy advance for my daughter (basic one- not sp as she is only 6) and my husband wants Battlestar Galactica Season 1 DVD set. Other than that, basic toys for the kids and stocking stuffers
  19. On Thanksgiving day, My sister, mom , and I go through all the BF ads. We each take a store or two that we are going too and the others give them our list to get us. It helps to seperate as we always get what we want and no sell outs! Last year, my mom went to Target, I went to Toys R Us, and my sister went to Kay Bee Toy store. Then around noon or so, we meet up for lunch and seperate all the purchases for each family. It works great!
  20. Don't really have a budget. Whenever my shopping is done its done. Now I won't go crazy, but I definately know I'll be over $150! LOL
  21. Im just hoping KayBee and Toys R Us has some great toy deals! My oldest is not into anything new so he will be hard to shop for. My youngest is so easy. Anything girly will do. Oldest is 10yr old son and youngest is 5 yr old daughter
  22. I have $150 in my hiding place so far! (have a stash in my dresser) LOL. My husband doesn't like me to bring tons of cash so he always wants me to use our debit card and/or credit card. I deposit the money I save up a couple days before so its in the bank when I use the debit. Im one of those people who get in line by 1 or 2 am so I don't carry a purse. Put my ID and debit/credit card in my jeans pocket and go. Sometimes Im in line so early, its just me for a bit. So I don't want to hold a purse. Where Im at, if you aren't in line by 2am, you're past 20th or so in line. A bunch of die hard shoppers here!
  23. I hope walmart has tvs on sale again. Just need a basic cheapy. I have 4 tvs already, but my son wants one in his room. Pretty much for his game system. Im thinking 15" at least is fine. Nothing fancy. I just hate going to Walmart on Black Friday! I by-passed it last year. Just went to Kmart, Toys R Us, and Kay Bee.
  24. I didn't even know they came out with sour lifesavers. Im surprised my kids haven't sniffed that out!
  25. I have a Staples about 20 minutes from me. I think I'll tell my husband to get the 80GB. Thanks everyone
