  1. Both my kids has a secret santa shop at their schools Friday. So, a lot more gifts will be under the tree. The secret santa shop is so cute. Parents give their chidren a certain amount of money to spend on the family members and they go to the gym during the school day and shop for presents. A company comes in and sets up tons of gifts ranging from $1-$10.I usually give each child $25. Thats $5 to spend on Mom, Dad, Sibling, Grandma, and Grandpa. Its so funny to see the stuff they pick out. They are so proud too because they did the shopping and I don't get to see the items. They wrap everything their too! It will be interesting this year with my daughter as she is only in preschool and gets to shop Friday. Shes so excited!
  2. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas Halo 2 Those are the games that are just under $50. Always out at the video rental store and going sky high on ebay. Thankfully I found both of them for my son. Grandpa sent $100 gift card for each child. I didn't have to spend a dime on them myself!
  3. Only the presents to My husband and myself are under the tree (from each other and from the kids). The kids do not get to see any presents till christmas morning. I finished wrapping everything last night and yet again I overbought. My husband expects it though. I didn't count presents, but the heavy duty huge contractor bags is what I use to store presents. Needless to say My son filled up 1 1/2 and so did my daughter. I still have to buy for my baby, LOL, my dog Abby. She usually gets a new collar every year, stocking w/ goodies, and a huge bone. So funny seeing her eyes christmas morning looking at that 2 ft bone. Shes a yellow lab so she can handle it!
  4. I play at Pogo.com. Its free and has tons of games. Of course I enjoy bingo! LOL.
  5. yes, Ross. I got my email of warning from Brad. My head is hanging down now in shame. Won't discuss that bad practice with DVDs anymore. LOL
  6. I don't know about "cheap" but check half.com and amazon.com. Besides new Trilogies they also sell used for a lot less than stores. Thats where I get a lot of my son's video games.
  7. I buy my bulk cases from a seller off ebay. I pay $20 (includes shipping) for 125 cases. Seems cheap to me. I've bought off this guy for 2 yrs now. Hes great.
  8. LOL, sounds like my husband. he won't go buy shoes until they are literally falling off or so discolored I buy some FOR him. Guess what hes getting for christmas??!!
  9. Mine is swimming in the $4.77 small appliances. Dvd players too. Im thinking of buying one for my son's room. I bought too much for christmas already so I would just give him that! LOL, I do this every year. My husband expects it so he just rolls his eyes when I make the pre-christmas promise that I won't buy too much for the kids. Im so glad for those quarterly bonuses!
  10. Just make sure the seller has good feedback. I got burned a couple of times on ebay. But for the most part I always buy from there for hard to find items. check out their last feedback too. That always gives me an idea on shipping trends and dependability.
  11. My area Marcs has the 1:6 scale Ford F-150 for $27. Its comparable to the Hummer/Escalade thats out there for $99. (My mom bought my son the Escalade, but I grabbed the $27 one!). This (9.99 truck is still nice, but its the 1:24 scale.)
  12. any of the mario games. They have all the older arcade style games too (pac man, asteroids etc), also Dora the Explorer, and any of the Nick cartoon games. My daughter has the powerpuff girls, Ed Ed & Eddy, and Fairly Odd Parents. For a 5 yr old girl I would stick with the cartoon games. Easier for them too.
  13. I could go to my walmart today and still find the BF deals! they must have stocked so much this year! Those $4.77 appliances are everywhere!
  14. All I have to do is stocking stuffers. I have already bought, wrapped and tagged everything! Im still waiting on my children's pics to come back from Sears to send out my christmas cards (coming back on 12/6). Oh, the dog got something too!! LOL. Can't ever forget her
  15. Thanks you guys. I didn't buy, but saved the auction to check if he tries to relist or to see negatives which may be coming!
  16. The immediate paypal payment seemed fishy too. Just looking at the auction a little more, I saw he said it takes up to 21 days to ship. Im going to save the auction and just watch if he gets negative feedback anytime soon.
  17. Thanks Rossman and biomajor. I was scammed awhile ago on another game (Mortal Kombat Deception) and thats why this also seemed too good to be true. I think I'll save my money and look for other deals. Sure would have helped the budget though! Thank you for the insight.
  18. My son really wants the new game that came out: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. $50 is not in the budget right now. If you are familiar with ebay, could you please check out auction # 8150731328. Is this too good to be true or a scam? The price is super and shipping is great too. New and sealed? Wow. But they always say, if its too good to be true it probably is! I checked out this guys past auctions and he has sold 200+ of these in the past 2 days. Seems odd he would have so many for sale. Red flags are popping up in my head but then again, if it is a true deal I lost out. I have tried to email seller, but he won't respond. Is that another bad sign? Any opinions would be great. Thanks Oh by the way, he also has Halo 2 for only $24 buy it now. CHeap Cheap Cheap!! or should I be saying..Scam Scam Scam??
  19. I will be going to Value City because they have all JNCO hoodies for my son for only $14.99 each. I paid big bucks at Pennys for them. I just saw them advertised today in the Sears ad for 50% off but regularly $50. Great deal at Value City. He has a couple of them but loves the JNCO brand
  20. I bought my son the 1:6 scale Escalade w/ real working spinners, music, and lights. $99 but worth it. My son loves his friends so Im sure christmas morning will be great for him. I bought mine at Sams Club for $89 though. Cheapest I've seen them. They had the hummers too
  21. Before BF I had already purchased 90% of my gifts for my kids. They are wrapped, tagged, and ready to go (In Black Contractor bags in garage). The new gifts I bought yesterday on BF are in bags and covered with a blanket. Screams- "Take a peek" so I have to wrap again today. Last year my son got into the garage a week before christmas and found his stocking. Opened some candy and a small gift. Threats were made this year! I told him I keep all receipts and will return a gift if he even touches them this year! He was 9 then and knew the santa secret!
  22. I need a break! I went out super early on Thanksgiving and BF today. I got both my kids done and my husband. Staying home and wrapping once my parents pick up the kids.
  23. I was in line at Toys R Us (about 3:30am) with about 20 or so other people. We hear a car coming into the parking lot honking and a bunch of guys yelling. Of course we turn to look at car as it approaches us and to my shock I see a BIG WHITE BUTT plastered against the rear passenger side. I had to take a double look to make sure thats what I saw! This lady behind me (in her 50s I'd say-to my shock) yells, "If you were a real man that butt would be hanging out of the window-Too cold for ya!!!???". I never laughed so hard. Funny thing was they didn't plan it too well as I don't think they realized the way they came into the parking lot was the only exit too! They zoom by us (butt and all) and had to turn around at the end of the parking lot to get out, having to pass by us again. They came by us yelling, "thank you, thank you". I got my laugh in for the day!
  24. I have a good one for you that I experience today...In line for awhile at Toys R us. I believe it was a little before 4am..Anyhow a car comes into the parking lot honking and teenagers yelling. 25 of us are outside standing and they come by us and slow down. Of course with that racket you are going to look at the car....On the passenger side in the back seat was some kid's butt hanging out the window! So we were mooned. We all laughed. Guess they don't have a real life to just drive around mooning people!
  25. I was napping for the sake of my husband and children! Needless to say I am a very cranking person to all when "mommy" is over tired.
