I agree, it looks like a mix of people - showered and not, lol! I'll be up and out before 3, but I'll shower a few hours before I leave. I will at least comb my hair and put on a bit of makeup.

Heck ya! I hope to get similar pics (though I doubt as good, lol) this year.

Heck yeah - just found out DH has Thurs, Fri and the weekend off. YAY! They asked him to work Fri - Sun and he laughed at them, hehe. Four day weekend filled with fun and excitement on Friday! Two more days left (for some of us).

How big of drive do you need (mb)? Max price you are willing to spend? Also, I highly recommend staying away from Seagate, their HD's are not the best IMO (same with Maxtor.. again IMO!). Western Digital is a top rated HD and one myself and my husband rarely have problems with (if ever). :) ETA: Here's some deals on NewEgg: http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/SubCategory.asp?SubCategory=414 If you reply with more info as to what you want and need, I am sure someone can find you an awesome deal. :)

List any and all reasons here as to why GottaDeal forums (and the site itself) are worth your time after Black Friday! Feel free to list reasons previously stated if you agree. This is just a gentle reminder that the forums here exist after Black Friday 2005 will be over with (hard to think about it being over, I know!). My reasons.. and there is more, but here's a few to start off.. ~ Awesome members, very helpful in finding the best deals around! ~ Great contests offered by members and also from the GottaDeal admins! ~ Helpful and NICE admins, hard to find at some forums. ~ Great freebies/contest/coupon forum - my addiction, but a great way to save money as well! ~ Getting to hear about other peoples good deals - I love living vicariously through people who get the awesome deals/freebies. As I said, there are more reasons, those are just a few off of the top of my head. Feel free to be more specific with yours. I'll add on later. PS To make this even easier (aka what I wish I had done last year), just hit CTRL and the D key to add this site to your favorites.

Correct Link If you've already clicked the link in the OP's post, then it will keep their store location in your cookies/cache. So then you want to click this link and input your zip code. :) Thanks OP!!

Make sure to check this site if you have kiddos: http://www.kidseatfree.com/ Always call the restaurant first to make sure they are honoring whatever deal that the site states. :)

I know this one differs by store! The Sears I worked at refused to give the 10% difference on BF, yet they would PM. Other Sears though have different rules. Definitely call YOUR Sears and ask the manager as to what they do. They will give you all of the guidelines to follow, and then how they will PM on BF. Get their name as well.
-
It's not hiding, it's mis-placing. Lots of customers do it in every store every day (we ex-sales associates know this quite well, we picked up all of your crap! LOL JK!).
-
Always call any store to confirm their policies. Store to store, even the same chain, can have different rules depending on the manager. So yes, call and get the name of the person (preferably a manager) that you speak with! And no, generally speaking, most Targets do not PM.
-
That's very strange and I wonder if it will hold true for that store on BF or not. That said, many stores are not like that. Though I always tell people to call their stores to find out how whatever will be handled, the true test will be the day of!
-
A lot of sales associates are instructed to not say a word about this. I don't fully understand why, it seems they'd make more sales if they just admitted to what they know.. but it may also be that they don't want their associates giving misinformation as well.
-
You went to Office Depot? Shame on you! Just kiddin' *sorta*. But that is a good idea. Some stores absolutely will NOT do this though (Sears in Clackamas Town Center in Portland, Oregon is NOT allowed to sell floor models of anything!) but some do!
-
Well, how much is the griddle normally? Are you saving more than 40-50%? If so, then count on it being gone by the time you hit Sears! ETA: Nevermind, it's priced so low - it will be gone whether or not it's at least half off.. it's a good price.
-
*mental note: take picture of inside of dishwasher at best buy on BF.. will make for good laughs at ross' expense*

See this: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=from%3A+Woodburn,+OR.+to%3A+Tigard,+OR.&f=d&hl=en And double that time for driving at least..

Getting to Wash. Sq. at 6am is realistic, sure. But getting doorbusters or any *awesome* deals that will probably sell out fast = not so realistic, no. It may take you a good 30 minutes (if not more) to park and get in there, just figure that. Then getting through the crowds is more time consuming.. but as I said, you don't want doorbusters, right? You should be okay, but it's hard to say as well.. don't hold it against me when you miss out on something.. try to get to any store you are hitting up as fast and as early as you can. In fact, start bottling your energy now.

The Wednesday paper won't have the ads for Black Friday. Thursday, the 24th of November, also known as Thanksgiving Day, will have the Black Friday ads in it. Hit up the local 7-11 or whatever early in the AM on Thanksgiving Day (the 24th) and get the Thursday paper, it will be PACKED full of Black Friday ads. Not the Wednesday paper though, it will not have the ads. ETA: The Wednesday paper may have some ads, but really the Thanksgiving Day paper should be the only one you need.

Miranda - You have to choose what you think is the best deal and go to that store EARLY EARLY on!! Other things you are taking chances on, as you can't hit five stores for the popular stuff. Since a lot of what you want is regular stuff and not doorbusters, then you have a better chance, yes. But traffic is going to be crazy and then you have to figure in the time in finding a parking spot, and just getting to the aisle with the stuff you want!
-
*cough* right *cough*
-
I'll admit it.. I've done it. Not BF stuff, but for other sales. I stopped though, because I felt bad after awhile. And a few times I've found stuff people have obviously hidden.. and it upset me, so that made me realize. But yes, I'd be tempted again this year if I were shoppin'.

I'm psyched! I can't believe it's coming up so quickly!!

That's great!! I always always always make a big deal about wonderful customer service. I have dealt with such terrible CS, that anything above and beyond the call of duty (even just a little bit) deserves praise in my opinion! I've even praised McDonald's workers. One lady really went out of her way once, I made sure to remember her name from her tag and then called McD's the next day and told the mgr. He said she would get a gift cert to a store as well as employee of the month. WOW!
-
The stores on 82nd are pretty busy normally, yes. Mainly because there are so many BF stores within a short distance of one another (and easy to access via 82nd). I imagine traffic will be fun *sigh*. But I would not make the trek from Wa Square over here, not worth it IMO.

I'm outside of SE Portland. I won't be shopping, but I will be out - mainly at the stores on 82nd Ave in Portland.
