If you're into photography, any filters you need? Lens cleaning wipes? Spare battery for your camera? Memory cards? (I picked up a SanDisk Ultra II 2gb for $19.99 at Staples on BF.) Book called Understanding Exposure? My Amazon wish list could surely find you a ton of things, lol. Unfortunately, you would have to add another "0" on the end of that to get a sweet new lens.

I bought all pj's, slippers, and a backpack and all qualified for the discount. With the GOOFY42 code and the 15% code, it gave 50.7% off of the items. Oh yeah, rainboots and umbrella, too.

I saved $140.27 plus got free shipping. Obviously I spent too much. Actually, I bought the PJ Pals for my kids, nieces and nephew, son's friend, etc. I also got the men's flannel pj's and slippers, a personalized Lightning McQueen backpack for about $11, Cars flannel sheet sets for my boys, and a few other things. Overall, I think it was a great deal.

Since I was griping so much on the WalMart thread, I wanted to give credit where it is due. Kohl's has a wonderful marketing and planning department. Their store layout is outstanding, with the revolutionary idea of having the wide outer aisle to direct the customer throughout the entire store. It also has a nice wide center aisle for an easy exit if you are completed with your shopping. :)

Well, maybe you should consider yourself lucky. I've gone through 3 Averatec laptops and have finally resolved to have a heavier laptop because they are just garbage. I tried to deal iwht the breaking and overheating because of the lightweight laptop feature that I really love, but it's just not been worth it. The repair process sucks. I will not buy another one again. I think, having bought 3 times from them, I've given them more than their fair chance. I've been working on my hubby's HP since July when my 3rd and final Averatec died and it has had absolutely none of the issues that the Averatecs have had. Maybe it is a blessing in disguise for you to not get it! If you don't like the trouble now, you certainly won't like the trouble later.

I've been crazy busy with school and kids! I didn't do too much BF planning this year because I knew I'd be in Florida. We went to Disney on BF afternoon, but I made sure to make it to Staples for 4am to get those laptops, lol. The thought had somehow crossed my mind to go to WalMart this morning, but I regained my senses and went to BJ's and Target instead and finished almost all of my shopping. Now to find digital photo frames for mom and mil and get some giftcards from AAA for nieces and nephews and I'll be pretty much set. :) I must say that I feel really good not having gone to WalMart. I will consider it my holiday challenge.

I have credit cards but I really liked the layaway because it gave me a place to hide my gifts in past years. Oh well, doesn't matter much now since I have really come to loathe the corporate practices and don't intend to holiday shop there anyway.

My sister and I got to staples at about 4:15 and were 9th and 10th in line. When we got there we asked if anyone knew how many laptops the store had and if the limit was one. The people in line said we were good. The first in line had gotten there at about 2:15am. A few minutes before opening, the manager gave out cards for the laptops and 32" HDTV. He also told us about a cordless keyboard and mouse unadvertised special, regular $79.99 for $19.99. I ended up getting one of those for an online friend who does not have too much and it is at the top of her Christmas list. I thought it would be nice to "pay it forward". Anyway, we ended up with 2 laptops, a 400gig Big Book drive, 2gb Ultra II CF card, and the Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse set. Overall, a very good visit!

I'm trying to check out and I can't get the next page to load. It keeps saying Page Cannot be Displayed. I can get all of the other pages up and the review order page up. This happens sometimes even trying to get to their main page when I get an email from them. Has anyone else had problems on their site? I've been to a lot of sites today and am on other ones now and I don't have any problems. I wonder what their deal is. Overloaded server, maybe?

I could use something that only requires a couple of minutes a day, lol. With a little baby, large blocks of time are basically nonexistant for me!

I'll have to print this for hubby. He was talking about them a couple of weeks ago. Maybe I can surprise him one day. :)

The kit lens isn't bad. I have it. However, if I was going to do it over I might do the body separately and go for the IS lens, but it's probably not really necessary at this point. I'm still learning the camera now. When I learn it better if I want more lenses, I'll save up for them. The nicer lenses go from anywhere from 150-1500 or something. They can get VERY expensive, but I don't think it's practical for typical family use. You can always upgrade your lens later. I bought mine at Costco and it was a great deal. I paid about 800 and got the body, kit lens, a telephoto lens, and a photo printer. I did, however, have to wait quite a while for almost $300 in rebates.

We did that, too. I picked up ds9 and his friends from the bus stop, had them stop home to ask permission, and then off we went! It was a great surprise for the kids! We also ran into other friends while we were there, so it was a great afternoon outing. ds9 had mint chocolate chunk ds4 had cherry garcia one friend had mango lime sorbet one friend had cookie dough I posted above that I had lemondade sorbet All had smiles on their faces! Thanks to a hefty amount of baby wipes, no one had sticky hands getting back into my new car!

The line at ours was long but moved very fast. We got to place our order as soon as everyone figured out what they wanted. We actually had to let people go ahead of us. They had about 10 people working. The place was MOBBED with teenagers, lol. We had our choice of cone or cup. I chose Lemonade sorbet. It was excellent. I got it in a cup and it was a nice big scoop. I brought my kids and the neighbor kids, too. They had a good time!

We got a bunch of stuff for 50% off yesterday. Nice deals!

Oh! I went to that store last night at the mall for the first time and it was great! They just opened up last Wednesday and the store was crankin' busy! It's so nice to have good, fashionable clothes for the younger crowd. I found a shirt in there that my hubby loves. I heard the girl who works there telling another girl that they're affiliated with Hot Topic.
