Boys or girls? How old? I have a 13 month old and one due in a few more weeks, so I'm feeling you on the 2 in diapers!

I haven't seen one. I hope you find one. They are super expensive. They're really good, though! I got one earlier this year as a thank you gift and it was great!

Even with antishake, you'd still probably want to stabilize the camera on something when possible. The camera might not shake, but you (and the rest of us) inevitably will. Using a tripod or something stable to rest the camera on will certainly give you a sharper picture every time. Like the other posters said, optical zoom is important. Digital zoom is worthless.

It seems to get reasonable reviews: http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/Z1K/Z1KA.HTM It was easy to make friends with the Casio EX-Z1000. Auto mode with its 16:9 aspect ratio made composing shots fun. The quick startup and shutdown made it convenient to use, never worrying about missing a shot because it would take too long to turn on the camera. The Casio EX-Z1000's 3x zoom was a disappointment, if only because we've been playing with longer zooms lately. But the digital zoom does compensate for that, relying on the 10 megapixel sensor to deliver enough resolution without degrading image quality. Even with the larger sensor real estate to populate with 10 megapixel of sensor sites, the Casio EX-Z1000 did capture noisy images. But the noise resembled film grain rather than the colorless confusion of some high ISO sensors. Turn off Anti Shake if it bothers you. In all the categories that matter, the Casio EX-Z1000 scored well. And where it didn't score well, there are convenient workarounds. Those are the kind of tradeoffs we like to see in a digicam. This is a very well-designed, capable camera, certainly worthy of a Dave's Pick.

The only real effective difference you'd notice would be if you're printing large prints.

I'm wondering about the quality. I had considered them at Christmas time but some of the ones I was looking at had some poor quality reviews. I don't notice any reviews on the website. I don't have to have top of the line, but I really don't want to waste my money on junk. Any help would be appreciated! This is a good price if it works reasonably well. I think my MIL would like it.

It operates off a a memory card. You can use: Memory Stick Secured Disk Smart-media Multi-Media MS PRO cards How many pictures depends on the size of the card. I know the SD cards are really inexpensive now and depending on the size of the photo files, you can fit a varying number on each size card.

banzai falls waterslide/pool
Kayakmom replied to staceytaylor's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I think that what I saw in Costco yesterday is like what you're talking about. It was this HUGE thing with waterslides and a built in pool that runs on a pump like a moonwalk. I seem to think that it was $299, but I can't be sure. What I can be sure of is that my ds5 was totally oogling it!!! lol -
Great deal! I also used coupon code NMFM37 for $10 off $30 purchase. Be careful when you do this because it reduces the price of each item, so you'll need to add more than $5.00 of beach club stuff to get the free shipping. I added in a pair of watershoes and sunglasses to get the free shipping. The dresses have been marked down so much in the past two weeks! This is what I got: Item Color Size Price* Qty. Total* ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 62703650 watershoes hi pink xs (3-4) 4.66 1 $4.66 62920613 scalloped dress optic wht 24mos 13.59 1 $13.59 61952013 floral dress bubble 24mos 9.24 1 $9.24 61975213 striped cardigan bubble 24mos 5.43 1 $5.43 62659101 sunglasses white 0-2 1.95 1 $1.94 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subtotal: $34.87 Shipping: $0.00 Tax: $0.12 Order Total: $34.99

Kayakmom replied to abailey10's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion

recommend a good pair of sandles/flip flops
Kayakmom replied to littlesdcen's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I got mine at EMS, too. I think I paid $50 before Christmas for the sandals. I had 20% off coupon and also bought the ugly brown Keen shoes, lol. They are the bomb! It's really hard to find shoes that are comfortable for pregnancy. They were regularly 90 something so I still paid about $70, but I have no complaints at all. You can't put a price tag on comfort during pregnancy! I've been wearing them every day. I was thinking yesterday that it's almost time to pull out those nifty Keen sandals that Santa brought for me. I also have some Teva spider rubber sandals that are outstanding for the applications I use them for (hiking, kayaking, etc.) but they probably would not be very good with heel spurs. They're not the most comfortable while you're getting used to them. The bottoms are black and I've had times where the bottoms of my feet were burning in the hot sun. They're definitely better for water/rugged applications. Those Nike Ceslos look comfortable! I think I need to look for some of those. -
Amazing freebie.... FREE credit score from Transunion!
Kayakmom replied to nick_jenni_jocelyn's topic in Online Hot Deals
If they are positive accounts, leave them for as long as they stay. They give age to your report, which helps your score. If they're negative, they will fall off after 7 years has lapsed. If they are innacurate, you can dispute them and request that they be removed immediately. There is some info about this sort of thing in the finance forum here and there is a lot of information available on this topic at www.creditboards.com. -

Any new great staples deals out there?
Kayakmom replied to rennakay's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I was just searching to find the same thing. It's been quite a while since we've had any postings of good deals and I could use some cheap supplies again. Ds5 has decided that he is going to be on a major office supplies kick. If anyone hears of anything, please let us know! -
Cheapest is to order online for delivery, usually. Second cheapest is to order online for same day store pickup. For example, I can order from Walgreens and pick up usually in just the time it takes to drive there for 19 cents per print. It's more expensive to print at home. Some avid photographers do like the ability to print at home because it makes it a bit easier when you're trying to tweak a photo. As far as economics, it's cheaper to just have a photo printed. If you do want paper (for convenience or whatever reason), Staples has a great sale on paper this week at about 80% off. I always buy it when it's on the $1.98 sale because sometimes it's great to be able to print on the spot. I do it for the kids at Cub Scouts to have momentos or to make projects sometimes. I just bring camera, laptop, and printer and the kids have instant photos. They're very enthralled by that, lol. Also, if you're interested in longevity, the equipment you have at home probably cannot match that of the dye sublimation process used in professional photo machines. Here's more info on that: http://www.howstuffworks.com/question583.htm

Nope, I double checked earlier for Heelys. I need a pair for ds10.

Once you make an order, they give you the 10% off for 60 more days. My 60 days started over when I made ANOTHER order. This is at the bottom of every confirmation email, so as long as you keep ordering, it seems it will keep extending: "Thank you for being a Shoebuy.com member. As a member, you will automatically receive 10% off any purchase that you make within 60 days of this purchase. That's right! Automatically. Your 10% discount applies to all merchandise in your shopping cart and to unlimited purchases. Shoebuy.com discounts do not apply to Gift Certificate purchases or upgraded shipping charges." I must admit - I am hooked, lol. I haven't bought shoes anywhere else. This morning MIL called to see what to get dd for her birthday and I had to get her little Merrell's. Hubby will be excited. The lady at the Stride Rite store told him that they don't start until size 5. He'll be very surprised to see his girly in tiny size 4 pink Merrell shoes. :)

Thanks! I just placed two orders. We are doing a "Secret Stork" on a pregnancy group I belong to and the limit is $15.00. I was able to get a pair of Robeez, which I think is a nice gift with that price limit (Reg. $26.50). I also bought a pair of Stride Rite First Mate Sandals for my dd for this summer. They retail for $30 and I got them for $17. I love these Shoebuy coupons. It's hard to find a nice sale on these brands. It also took off 10% from each order because I signed up for the membership thing last time. It said that I will qualify for 10% off any order from 60 days of this purchase. I wonder if it resets the time for savings each time you order?

I do love making them up, too! When ds10 had his first Easter, I put so much time into it. I picked up lots of things here and there on sale and my mom bought a Snoopy dressed as a bunny at a Russell Stover outlet. It had teal blue and yellow on it. I took from that and wrapped all of his little gifts in blue and teal wrapping paper and decorated the handle of the basket with coordinating ribbons. It was awesome!!! Last year I did pick up some rolls of ribbon on sale for 50 cents or so and wrapped up the handles of their baskets. I'll have to retrieve those baskets back to use again. They were nice ones that I had gotten on sale for about $3 each. When we were little we always reused the same ones every year. My kids like to take them to tote their stuff around in! Basket nabbers! I picked up a couple more things from the online hot deals tonight. DD (almost 1!) is getting a really cute seersucker ladybug outfit and some olive green capris. I found two t-shirts for ds10. I also pulled out the Percy that we got for $2.99 and added that to the things I grabbed today at Kohl's. This is such a nice break after the terrible last two weeks I've had with sick and miserable kids. I love to shop, even if I walk out only spending $3 on a great bargain, lol. Tomorrow morning I think I will hit Target.
