  1. I was also going to suggest Old Navy.
  2. I feel the same way. I don't want other people to find out about these deals!
  3. I would get the 'Just Like You' doll. That's what we did here. It's cute for a little girl to have a doll that looks just like her.
  4. Of course! I have always gotten equal gifts for the teacher and the aide.
  5. Yes, they are on the front page of the weekly sale ads.
  6. I just bought one at Toys R Us for $24.99, plus it came with a free case of Play-Doh (10 pack). It's in the Big Toy Book.
  7. We saw it on display at Target and my girls liked it, but I can see the novelty wearing off very quickly. Plus, the price is more than I'm willing to spend. I also agree that the movements are too mechanical and loud!
  8. I hate it when people just toss the lights on all haphazardly!
  9. 'Christmas' is a dirty word in public schools, haven't you heard?
  10. I'm not a fan of fiber-optic, so I guess I'll say pre-lit.
  11. The earliest we ever put up the tree was the day after Thanksgiving last year. Prior to that we always did it around the first weekend in December.
  12. I haven't done it thus far but I certainly would if I "needed" to.
  13. I went to a Toys R Us I don't normally shop at and tried to use the coupon and they gave me a hard time about it. The cashier took one look at the coupon and goes over and has a hush-hush conversation with the manager. Comes back and tells me they won't accept it because it's a copy. I feigned innocence and told her I got it in an email and printed it from my computer and it's not like it's a "photocopy". She goes back over to the manager and then they both come back to the register and the manager says "Where did you get this coupon?" I said, "In an email." She says, "Not from Toys R Us." I told her it was indeed from Toys R Us and I printed it out and cut out the coupon. She told me that it should have my name on it and not be blurry and that a lot of people were coming in with these coupons and they are copies. I acted all wide-eyed and innocent and finally she says that they'll take it THIS time but never again. Meanwhile, the people in line behind me probably thought I was some kind of a con artist the way the manager was talking to me!! I have NEVER had a problem with printed coupons at my "regular" Toys R Us. I guess I'll stick with what I know from now on.
  14. Those hyped-up dolls are almost always a disappointment. An American Girl doll is a better investment, in my opinion.
  15. I'll be going to Target & Toys R Us, after that I'll play it by ear.
  16. I bought it at Toys R Us last Thursday.
  17. I would never want anything badly enough to make me camp out for it.
  18. This will be my second year shopping on BF.

    Build A Bear

I would think that Black Friday is probably not the best day to be going to Build-A-Bear anyway. Too crowded to be enjoyable.
  20. Some sort of make-ahead casserole. Last year it was an overnight French toast.
  21. Have you gotten any input from your husband? I would think that the gift would be from the two of you combined, right?
  22. Nothing spectacular. However, I just bought the Polly Pocket Quik Clik House of Style yesterday for $27.58, so I may do a switcheroo if I can snag one at $14.99 on BF.
  23. No "theme" per se, all the ornaments go on every year. We do change the color of the lights, though. Last year was multi-colored, this year will probably be red & white.
  24. The "best ones" are whatever YOU personally like!
